Deep Energy Autoencoder for Noncoherent Multicarrier MU-SIMO Systems

    Get PDF
We propose a novel deep energy autoencoder (EA) for noncoherent multicarrier multiuser single-input multipleoutput (MU-SIMO) systems under fading channels. In particular, a single-user noncoherent EA-based (NC-EA) system, based on the multicarrier SIMO framework, is first proposed, where both the transmitter and receiver are represented by deep neural networks (DNNs), known as the encoder and decoder of an EA. Unlike existing systems, the decoder of the NC-EA is fed only with the energy combined from all receive antennas, while its encoder outputs a real-valued vector whose elements stand for the subcarrier power levels. Using the NC-EA, we then develop two novel DNN structures for both uplink and downlink NC-EA multiple access (NC-EAMA) schemes, based on the multicarrier MUSIMO framework. Note that NC-EAMA allows multiple users to share the same sub-carriers, thus enables to achieve higher performance gains than noncoherent orthogonal counterparts. By properly training, the proposed NC-EA and NC-EAMA can efficiently recover the transmitted data without any channel state information estimation. Simulation results clearly show the superiority of our schemes in terms of reliability, flexibility and complexity over baseline schemes.Comment: Accepted, IEEE TW

Level of Determinants Impact on Buyer’s Purchasing Intention in Motor Liability Insurance: Case of Vietnam

Motor liability insurance has been included in the compulsory insurance category that each vehicle owner of every type of motor vehicle must participate in in Vietnam. However, in fact, the participation in this type of insurance is not popular and not strictly managed. This paper presents an approach to modeling and analyzing the possible determinants that may affect the intention to buy motor liability insurance for motor vehicle owners in the North of Vietnam. The target audience of this study is motorcycle owners. Based on the theories of buying intention, buying behavior and the specific characteristics of this insurance, this study has proposed a model with 4 factors influencing intention to participate in the insurance: Attitudes towards risk and insurance, subjective standards, Insurance Perceptions, and Product Accessibility. Taken together, these factors model a consumer's tendency toward insurance intentions for motorbike owners. The results show that all of the above factors have influence on the intention of motorcycle owners to participate in insurance. Deep Learning-Aided Multicarrier Systems

This paper proposes a deep learning (DL)-aided multicarrier (MC) system operating on fading channels, where both modulation and demodulation blocks are modeled by deep neural networks (DNNs), regarded as the encoder and decoder of an autoencoder (AE) architecture, respectively. Unlike existing AE-based systems, which incorporate domain knowledge of a channel equalizer to suppress the effects of wireless channels, the proposed scheme, termed as MC-AE, directly feeds the decoder with the channel state information and received signal, which are then processed in a fully data-driven manner. This new approach enables MC-AE to jointly learn the encoder and decoder to optimize the diversity and coding gains over fading channels. In particular, the block error rate of MC-AE is analyzed to show its higher performance gains than existing hand-crafted baselines, such as various recent index modulation-based MC schemes. We then extend MC-AE to multiuser scenarios, wherein the resultant system is termed as MU-MC-AE. Accordingly, two novel DNN structures for uplink and downlink MU-MC-AE transmissions are proposed, along with a novel cost function that ensures a fast training convergence and fairness among users. Finally, simulation results are provided to show the superiority of the proposed DL-based schemes over current baselines, in terms of both the error performance and receiver complexity

A quantitative study of spin-flip co-tunneling transport in a quantum dot

We report detailed transport measurements in a quantum dot in a spin-flip co-tunneling regime, and a quantitative comparison of the data to microscopic theory. The quantum dot is fabricated by lateral gating of a GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructure, and the conductance is measured in the presence of an in-plane Zeeman field. We focus on the ratio of the nonlinear conductance values at bias voltages exceeding the Zeeman threshold, a regime that permits a spin flip on the dot, to those below the Zeeman threshold, when the spin flip on the dot is energetically forbidden. The data obtained in three different odd-occupation dot states show good quantitative agreement with the theory with no adjustable parameters. We also compare the theoretical results to the predictions of a phenomenological form used previously for the analysis of non-linear co-tunneling conductance, specifically the determination of the heterostructure g-factor, and find good agreement between the two.Comment: 5 pages, 5 figure

Some Limitations of ASEAN Organization in 55 Years of Operation

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (English : Association of South East Asian Nations, abbreviated as ASEAN) is a political , economic , cultural and social organization of countries in the Southeast region. Ah . ASEAN has a land area of 4.46 million km², accounting for 3% of the total land area of the Earth , and has a population of about 600 million people, accounting for 8.8% of the world's population . The waters of ASEAN are three times as large as land. Over 55 years of establishment and development, this is considered the most successful regional organization on earth. However, when it comes to ASEAN, people often talk about achievements, in the framework of this article, we would like to give some opinions on its limitations, as a basis for recommendations for leaders of the organization in this study. Optimal operation of Hoa Binh reservoir for flood control on Hong-Thai Binh river system

In the paper the optimal operation of Hoabinh reservoir for flood control on Hong–Thai Binh river system is presented. The findings show that in the flood season in 1996 if the operation of gates and outlets of Hoa Binh reservoir was made base on the calculated release, the water level at Hanoi would be 12.3 m and the water level of Hoa Binh reservoir would be 98 m. So the calculated release from Hoabinh reservoir in August 1996 can be considered as optimal in the mean that the water level at Hanoi can be controlled and the Hoabinh reservoir still have necessary pool for controlling the next floods

Student Satisfaction with Quality of Accounting and Auditing Education: The Case of Vietnam

This research is conducted to examine and evaluate determinants influencing the level of student satisfaction in the quality of auditing and accounting training at Vietnamese universities. Data were collected from 213 students of accounting and auditing field in three universities of National Economics University, University of Commerce and Academy of Finance. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and linear regression models were employed to determine the determinants influencing student satisfaction about quality of accounting and auditing. The findings show that the strongest impact on student satisfaction was the ability to serve; then training program; infrastructure component, and the last of teaching team. Based on the results, some recommendations are proposed for improving the satisfaction levels of students of accounting and auditing. Keywords: Quality of service; Quality of training; Satisfactio
