String Effects on Fermi--Dirac Correlation Measurements
We investigate some recent measurements of Fermi--Dirac correlations by the
LEP collaborations indicating surprisingly small source radii for the
production of baryons in -annihilation at the peak. In the
hadronization models there are besides the Fermi--Dirac correlation effect also
a strong dynamical (anti-)correlation. We demonstrate that the extraction of
the pure FD effect is highly dependent on a realistic Monte Carlo event
generator, both for separation of those dynamical correlations which are not
related to Fermi--Dirac statistics, and for corrections of the data and
background subtractions. Although the model can be tuned to well reproduce
single particle distributions, there are large model-uncertainties when it
comes to correlations between identical baryons. We therefore, unfortunately,
have to conclude that it is at present not possible to make any firm conclusion
about the source radii relevant for baryon production at LEP
The Feynman-Wilson gas and the Lund model
We derive a partition function for the Lund fragmentation model and compare
it with that of a classical gas. For a fixed rapidity ``volume'' this partition
function corresponds to a multiplicity distribution which is very close to a
binomial distribution. We compare our results with the multiplicity
distributions obtained from the JETSET Monte Carlo for several scenarios.
Firstly, for the fragmentation vertices of the Lund string. Secondly, for the

Internet-Based and other computerized psychological treatments for adults depression: A meta-analysis
Computerized and, more recently, Internet-based treatments for depression have been developed and tested in controlled trials. The aim of this meta-analysis was to summarize the effects of these treatments and investigate characteristics of studies that may be related to the effects. In particular, the authors were interested in the role of personal support when completing a computerized treatment. Following a literature search and coding, the authors included 12 studies, with a total of 2446 participants. Ten of the 12 studies were delivered via the Internet. The mean effect size of the 15 comparisons between Internet-based and other computerized psychological treatments vs. control groups at posttest was d = 0.41 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.29-0.54). However, this estimate was moderated by a significant difference between supported (d = 0.61; 95% CI: 0.45-0.77) and unsupported (d = 0.25; 95% CI: 0.14-0.35) treatments. The authors conclude that although more studies are needed, Internet and other computerized treatments hold promise as potentially evidence-based treatments of depression. Study of color connections in annihilation
We replace in the event generator JETSET the color singlet chain connection
with the color separate state one as the interface between the hard and soft
sectors of hadronic processes. The modified generator is applied to produce the
hadronic events in annihilation. It describes the experimental data
at the same level as the original JETSET with default parameters. This should
be understood as a demonstration that color singlet chain is not the unique
color connection. We also search for the difference in special sets of
three-jet events arising from different color connections, which could subject

Beyond viral suppression: the quality of life of people living with HIV in Sweden
Sweden has one of the best HIV treatment outcomes in the world and an estimated 95% of all diagnosed people living with HIV are virally suppressed, but the quality of life (QoL) is understudied. The aim of this study was to examine the associations between variables within sociodemographic, behavioural, clinical, psychological, sexual life, social support and personal resource component and the QoL of people living with HIV in Sweden. Data were derived from a cross-sectional, nation-wide survey completed by 15% (n = 1096) of all people living with HIV and collected at 15 infectious disease clinics and 2 needle exchange sites during 2014. Ordinal univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to examine associations between potential contributors and QoL. Respondents reported high QoL: 63% rated their QoL 7 or higher on a scale ranging from 0 to 10. QoL was independent of gender, age, mode of HIV transmission and country of origin. Lower QoL was associated with recent homelessness, hazardous alcohol consumption, comorbidities, treatment side-effects, HIV-related physical symptoms, hopelessness, negative self-image, sexual dissatisfaction, and negative changes in sex life after HIV. The QoL of people living with HIV in Sweden was high overall, but still significantly influenced by HIV
Color separate singlets in annihilation
We use the method of color effective Hamiltonian to study the properties of
states in which a gluonic subsystem forms a color singlet, and we will study
the possibility that such a subsystem hadronizes as a separate unit. A parton
system can normally be subdivided into singlet subsystems in many different
ways, and one problem arises from the fact that the corresponding states are
not orthogonal. We show that if only contributions of order are
included, the problem is greatly simplified. Only a very limited number of
states are possible, and we present an orthogonalization procedure for these
states. The result is simple and intuitive and could give an estimate of the
possibility to produce color separated gluonic subsystems, if no dynamical
effects are important. We also study with a simple MC the possibility that
configurations which correspond to "short strings" are dynamically favored. The
advantage of our approach over more elaborate models is its simplicity, which
makes it easier to estimate color reconnection effects in reactions which are

Towards the classification of static vacuum spacetimes with negative cosmological constant
We present a systematic study of static solutions of the vacuum Einstein
equations with negative cosmological constant which asymptotically approach the
generalized Kottler (``Schwarzschild--anti-de Sitter'') solution, within
(mainly) a conformal framework. We show connectedness of conformal infinity for
appropriately regular such space-times. We give an explicit expression for the
Hamiltonian mass of the (not necessarily static) metrics within the class
considered; in the static case we show that they have a finite and well defined
Hawking mass. We prove inequalities relating the mass and the horizon area of
the (static) metrics considered to those of appropriate reference generalized
Kottler metrics. Those inequalities yield an inequality which is opposite to
the conjectured generalized Penrose inequality. They can thus be used to prove
a uniqueness theorem for the generalized Kottler black holes if the generalized
Penrose inequality can be established.Comment: the discussion of our results includes now some solutions of Horowitz

On marginally outer trapped surfaces in stationary and static spacetimes
In this paper we prove that for any spacelike hypersurface containing an
untrapped barrier in a stationary spacetime satisfying the null energy
condition, any marginally outer trapped surface cannot lie in the exterior
region where the stationary Killing vector is timelike. In the static case we
prove that any marginally outer trapped surface cannot penetrate into the
exterior region where the static Killing vector is timelike. In fact, we prove
these result at an initial data level, without even assuming existence of a
spacetime. The proof relies on a powerful theorem by Andersson and Metzger on

Critical Field Strength in an Electroclinic Liquid Crystal Elastomer
We elucidate the polymer dynamics of a liquid crystal elastomer based on the
time-dependent response of the pendent liquid crystal mesogens. The molecular
tilt and switching time of mesogens are analyzed as a function of temperature
and cross-linking density upon application of an electric field. We observe an
unexpected maximum in the switching time of the liquid crystal mesogens at
intermediate field strength. Analysis of the molecular tilt over multiple time
regimes correlates the maximum response time with a transition to entangled
polymer dynamics at a critical field strength.Comment: 4 pages, 3 figure
