    Enterocutaneous fistulas are a rare complication of the usual abdominal-intestinal surgical practice that represent a challenge for the surgeon in his treatment that is generally stagnant due to the progressive deterioration of the condition of the patient suffering from the fistula. There are multiple treatment modalities and accepted schemes.
