    RELIGIOUS CULTURE DEVELOPMENT IN COMMUNITY SCHOOL: A CASE STUDY OF BOYOLALI MIDDLE SCHOOL, CENTRAL JAVA, INDONESIA

    Purpose: This study aims to explore the religious culture development in the community school for public junior high schools in Boyolali, Indonesia. Methodology: This research employs a qualitative approach with interviews and observation as its main research tools for data collection. Three schools participated in this study. Namely: SMP Negeri 4 Boyolali, SMP Negeri 2 Boyolali, and SMP Negeri 6 Boyolali. Findings: This research reveals three main themes for developing a religious culture in the school community; firstly creating a systematic model of school policy; secondly, building cooperation with school leaders and citizens; and lastly, developing a religious culture through extracurricular activities. Implications of the study: The results of this study may be useful for the government in Indonesia as a reference in the development of religious culture in schools or may be useful for the development of religious cultural education in an area. Novelty: Student backgrounds greatly influence religious behavior, as well as school policies, which will also influence the development of religious culture, so the development of religious culture will affect the growth of student character. This study creates a systematic school policy model, builds cooperation between school leaders and citizens, and develops a religious culture through extracurricular activities in the school community, to be further enhanced by good management and clear regulations. The 2003 National Education System Law states that the first and foremost criteria in the formulation of these goals are people who believe in and fear of God Almighty and have good character. For religious culture to be applied in educational institutions, the importance of religion, cultural education needs to be developed

    Pendidikan Islam merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari tugas kekhalifahan manusia dalam rangka membangun tata kehidupan yang makmur, dinamis serta harmonis. Implikasinya, pendidikan Islam sarat akan tuntutan baik secara konseptual maupun operasional agar diperoleh relevansi dan kemampuan untuk menjawab tantangan dan masalah yang dihadapi umat manusia. Salah satu tantangan pada masyarakat yang merupakan dampak atas berkembangnya teknologi informasi adalah keberadaan televisi dengan segala resapan budaya di dalamnya. Penayangan program yang miskin nilai edukatif, akan berpengaruh pada perilaku sosial masyarakat. Sebaliknya, kehadiran program televisi yang bersifat mendidik akan menunjang konstruksi positif masyarakat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Di antara program televisi yang kaya dengan muatan pendidikan Islamnya ialah sinetron Para Pencari Tuhan (PPT) Jilid 6 yang ditayangkan di stasiun SCTV (Surya Citra Televisi). Berdasarkan latar belakang di atas, maka rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana muatan metode pendidikan Islam serta peran pemuka agama dalam pembinaan masyarakat yang terdapat pada sinetron PPT Jilid 6. Sedangkan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang muatan metode pendidikan Islam serta peran pemuka agama dalam pembinaan masyarakat pada sinetron PPT Jilid 6. Adapun manfaat dari penelitian ini meliputi manfaat teoritis dan praktis. Secara teoritis, penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk memperkaya penggunaan teori pendidikan Islam dalam segala bidang. Secara praktis, penelitian ini bermanfaat untuk dapat memberi saran serta masukan bagi pendidik maupun masyarakat secara umum. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kepustakaan, yang menggunakan metode dokumentasi, dan analisis datanya adalah analisis isi (content analysis). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian data, menunjukkan bahwa sinetron Para Pencari Tuhan (PPT) Jilid 6 terbukti memenuhi muatan metode pendidikan Islam dalam pembinaan masyarakat yang meliputi: metode hiwar (dialog), metode amtsal (perumpamaan), metode contoh atau teladan, metode pemberian nasihat dan peringatan, serta metode pemberian hikmah. Muatan lain yang berhasil ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah peran pemuka agama dalam pembinaan masyarakat dalam sinetron PPT Jilid 6, yakni peran pemuka agama sebagai pengawal moral masyarakat, penerang informasi, sebagai agen perubahan sosial, serta pemuka agama sebagai pengawal atas penanaman nilai-nilai keimanan sehingga terwujud masyarakat yang bertakwa dalam arti sesungguhnya

In education, motivation is one of the supporting factors in determining the intensity of business for the beloved R. Motivation not only moves behavior but can also direct and reinforce behavior. Students at SMK Bhinneka Karya 05 Boyolali have the motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education is quite low, so that the effort of all components in the school is trying to increase the motivation to learn, especially Islamic Religious Education. The problem of this research is how the motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education, what is the obstacle faced by Islamic Religious Education teacher to improve students' learning motivation and how the effort of Islamic Religious Education teacher to improve the learning motivation of Islamic Religious Education students. The purpose of this study is to identify how students' learning motivation, identify obstacles faced by teachers and identify the teacher's efforts in improving motivation learning Islamic Religious Education. The benefit of this research is to theoretically increase the scientific treasury, to provide input and thought contribution to the next research. The type of research used is field qualitative research with combined approach from qualitative and quantitative research (mixed method). The research subjects were all students, amounting to 55 students. The author uses data collection methods with observas, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. And analyzed with qualitative descriptive. Based on the research, the authors conclude that the motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education in SMK Bhinneka Karya 05 Teras Boyolali classified moderate. Then the obstacles faced by teachers of Islamic Education to improve students' learning motivation are two, the first is sometimes the teacher is less patient in facing the students, the second teacher must be very careful and need the right method to provide the subject matter. Then the effort is to involve the principal directly in coaching students outside the of the lesson with personal approaches

    Along with the centralized and decentralized division of powers, the Government provides policies in urban and district districts in the field of education, therefore School Based Management provides widespread policy as a school authority to improve the quality of national education as stated in Law no. 20 of 2003 on National education system and No. 32 of 2004 on Regional Government. local policies in the city and district one of them is given to muhammadiyah schools such as Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan. This study aims to determine the planning, strategy and implementation results of school-based management in improving Al-Islam and kemuhammadiyahan in SMP Muhammadiyah 01 Surakarta. This research is a field research using qualitative descriptive method. data collection techniques used are by observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis uses deductive analysis. The results of the study concluded that the implementation of school-based management in improving al-Islam and kemuhammadiyahan in SMP muhammadiyah 1 Surakarta shows that: 1) school-based management planning in improving Al-islam kemuhammadiyahan applied susuai theory proved to pay attention to plans, implementation plans and supervision of the implementation of the plan activities that are part of school-based management functions that may influence its implementation in enhancing Al-islam kemuhhammadiyahan. 2) school-based management implementation strategy in improving Al-islam kemuhammadiyahan is in accordance with the theory but it needs a workable improvement, it can be seen with the role of Al-islam kemuhammadiyahan teachers in applying habituation behavior of students in accordance with Islamic religious teachings and the process of decision making that is democratic. 3) The results of school-based management implementation in improving al-Islam kemuhammadiyahan showed good and effective results of the existence of opportunities for principals and teachers to be able to see or parameters a student directly as well as facilities provided infrastructure of the school is sufficient and feasible to make students comfortable learning

    Desain pendidikan merupakan langkah-langkah pendidikan yang di dalamnya terdapat (a) tujuan, (b) materi, (c) metode dan (d) evaluasi pendidikan, apabila dikaitkan dengan pendidikan Islam maka target pencapaian dari desain pendidikan adalah tujuan, materi, metode dan evaluasi pendidikan mengarah pada perkembangan spiritual keagamaan seorang individu atau masyarakat mulai dari sebelum individu mengikuti pendidikan sampai selesai dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Salah satu lembaga pendidikan Islam yang menerapkan desain pendidikan adalah Pimpinan Cabang Muhammadiyah (PCM) Boyolali. Pendidikan yang dilaksanakan PCM Boyolali adalah pendidikan nonformal berupa pengajian keislaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (a) tujuan pendidikan PCM Boyolali apakah telah sesuai dengan pendidikan yang berdasarkan pendidikan Islam atau belum, (b) materi pendidikan PCM boyolali telah sesuai dengan materi pendidikan Islam atau belum, (c) metode pendidikan PCM boyolali telah sesuai dengan metode pendidikan Islam atau belum dan (d) Evaluasi pendidikan PCM boyolali telah sesuai dengan Evaluasi pendidikan Islam atau belum. Apabila pendidikan Islam PCM Boyolali belum sesuai dengan pendidikan berdasarkan Islam maka untuk kedepannya harus diarahkan berdasarkan pendidikan Islam. Ditinjau dari segi tempat, penelitian ini tergolong dalam penelitian lapangan (field research). Ditinjau dari sudut cara dan taraf pembahasan masalah, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Ditinjau dari jenisnya, penelitian ini termasuk penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis bersifat kualitatif lebih bersifat deskriptif-analitik yang berarti interpretasi terhadap isi dibuat dan disusun secara sistemik/menyeluruh dan sistematis, analilis data dilakukan secara induktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) tujuan pendidikan PCM Boyolali telah sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan berdasarkan pendidikan Islam, (b) materi pendidikan PCM Boyolali telah sesuai dengan materi pendidikan berdasarkan pendidikan Islam, (c) metode pendidikan PCM Boyolali telah sesuai dengan metode pendidikan berdasarkan pendidikan Islam dan (d) evaluasi pendidikan PCM Boyolali telah sesuai dengan materi pendidikan berdasarkan pendidikan Islam. PCM Boyolali diharapkan memperhatikan dengan baik pendidikan yang dilaksanakannya, pendidikan harus mengarah pada tujuan Islam sebagai Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin secara menyeluruh (kaffah) dalam membentuk masyarakat Islam.     Islamic education is the most important part in the daily life. Through the Islamic education provisions, the young generation will be able to control themselves from the influence of globalization which is getting more developed quickly in line with the development of technology and information. According to Syaikh Jamal Abdurrahman, education which is able to be implemented to the early teenagers covers moral education, sexual education, social (associating) education, and physical and health education. Problems in this research is: what kinds of education that can be implemented to the early teenagers that is related to moral education, sexual education, social (associating) education, and physical and health education according to Syaikh Jamal Abdurrahman in the book Islamic Parenting? Therefore, the purpose of this research is to describe the thought of Syaikh Jamal Abdurrahman about moral education, sexual education, social (associating) education, and physical and health education that can be thought to the early teenagers in the book Islamic Pareting. The benefits of this research theoretically can enrich the vocabulary of knowledge in the field of child education and practically can enrich the insight for parents and society about the child education field and to give information about Islamic parenting to the parents and the candidates of educator. This research is a library research using a philosophical approach. The technique used is collecting data through the documentation method. Meanwhile, the method of data analysis was conducted using the method of content analysis. The results obtained in this research are (1) Moral education which is applicable to the early teenagers covers: a) accustoming the children to behave well by asking the children to go sleep after isya’, b) not spoiling and complying with all they want, c) teaching about some ethics such as ethics of entering house, asking permission, ethics of talking and respecting the older people. (2) Sexual education which is applicable covers: a) not allowing to sleep by facing downward, b) separating the children’s bed since the age of 10, c) accustoming the children to keep the eyesight and to keep the aurat (part of the body which may not be visible while performing a ritual). (3) The social education which is applicable includes: a) chatting with the children and talking about the parents’ childhood experience, b) motivating children to attend celebration and to visit relative, c) suggesting the children to associate with ulema and to have good manners, d) inviting the children to go to the battlefield and teach them how to face enemies, e) reminding the children not to make a friend with the criminal, f) reminding the children not to irritate others, especially neighbor, g) reminding the children not to threat others using weapon although just kidding, h) not allowing the childrento make others shocked, i) reminding the childrennot to humiliate others. (4) The physical and health education applied to the early teenagers covers: teaching the children about the traditional medicine and training the children about self-defense

Single parent requires the dual role of a single parent to always pay attention to moral child, so the child does not lose grip in his life to be. The morality of parents in the family to be one example of moral education that taught parents to children because the child will naturally absorb what do parents. Based on this background, the purpose of this study is to determine the methods used single parent in educating young people in the village Monggot moral District of Geyer Grobogan and inhibiting factors. This research is a field (field research) by using a type of qualitative approach, the study aimed to describe and analyze the phenomena, events, aktivitassosial, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, thoughts people individually or in groups. The method used to collect data that is the method of interview, documentation and observation. While the techniques of data analysis was done by descriptive qualitative. Based on the analysis of research data, it can be concluded that the method used by single parent families in the village Monggot in adolescent moral education is exemplary method, a good method of habituation, the method of advice, supervision and methods of observation method of punishment. The inhibiting factor of moral education in single parent families in the village Monggot divided into two factors: internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are factors that comes from within the person the child as the child who often ignore the words of parents and children who tend to be quiet nature. While external factors are factors originating from outside of the child such as busyness and time constraints of parents single parent, low knowledge of religion parent single parent, and economic limitations

    Kesenian srandul termasuk jenis drama tari yang berasal dari Wonogiri. Kesenian ini berbasis pada drama tradisional kerakyatan dan memberikan tekanan pada unsur kesakralan ritual dan hiburan. Desa Kedungombo Kecamatan Baturetno Kabupaten Wonogiri Provinsi Jawa Tengah, merupakan desa yang masih melestarikan tarian tersebut. Setiap pementasan tari Srandul, terbukti selalu mendapatkan perhatian masyarakat, hal ini dapat dimaklumi karena masyarakat Desa Kedungombo merupakan daerah yang letaknya berada di pinggiran wilayah Kecamatan Baturetno sehingga jauh dari berbagai macam bentuk hiburan. Melihat hal tersebut, penulis tertarik untuk meneliti nilai-nilai pendidikan islam yang ada dalam tari Srandul. Permasalahan yang dapat diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah apa saja nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang terkandung dalam budaya tari Srandul di Desa Kedungombo Kecamatan Baturetno Kabupaten Wonogiri Provinsi Jawa Tengah th. 2014. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam budaya tari Srandul. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Yang menjadi subyek penelitian yaitu kepala desa, pemilik dan penari tari Srandul. Metode penelitian dikumpulkan melalui metode observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode analisis data tertata dalam situs untuk diskripsi. Data yang diperoleh dari lapangan akan diolah dengan cara mengumpulkan semua data yang ada. Dari hasil observasi dan wawancara yang dilakukan, mendapatkan data bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam yang terkandung dalam Budaya Tari Srandul di Desa Kedungombo Kecamatan Baturetno Kabupaten Wonogiri Provinsi Jawa Tengah antara lain tentang ajaran hormat menghormati orang lain, kewajiban memohon kepada Allah SWT, kewajiban menikah bagi yang sudah dewasa, larangan hubungan di luar pernikahan, larangan perbuatan merusak diri, ajaran hidup rukun, larangan perselingkuhan dan poligami, larangan perbuatan mengejek dan mencemooh, hukuman bagi orang yang berbuat dosa, pertobatan, dan kebebasan hidup

    Disclosure Level And Compliance With IFRSs: An Empirical Investigation Of Kuwaiti Companies

    This study empirically investigates the extent of compliance of Kuwaiti listed companies with IAS/IFRSs disclosure requirements, and provides evidence of the factors associated with the level of compliance. The factors examined are: company size, profitability, leverage, liquidity, type of industry, type of auditor, and company age. For this purpose a disclosure index is developed including 101 disclosure items representing 12 IASs. The annual reports of a sample of 48 non-financial companies carefully scrutinized against the disclosure index. The findings of the study indicate that the overall compliance level for the sampled companies averages 69% of the disclosures required by the standards tested. Regression results indicate that only company size and type of industry have positive association with IAS-required disclosures and their coefficients are significantly different from zero. Other explanatory variables are found statistically insignificant
