Adicci贸n a redes sociales y autoestima en adolescentes de bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Fiscal Remigio Romero y Cordero en Cuenca, en el per铆odo 2022-2023
La adolescencia es una etapa vulnerable por las diferentes conductas de riesgo que se
realizan con el objetivo de experimentar nuevas sensaciones, obtener reconocimiento y
aceptaci贸n de los pares. Es por esto que, en la actualidad, el uso de las redes sociales se ha
convertido en algo indispensable en los adolescentes por los beneficios que obtienen. No
obstante, un uso inadecuado podr铆a desencadenar una adicci贸n, la cual puede estar asociada
a una baja autoestima. Por tanto, esta investigaci贸n tuvo como objetivo general, describir los
puntajes de adicci贸n a redes sociales y los niveles de autoestima en adolescentes de
bachillerato. El enfoque fue cuantitativo con un dise帽o no experimental y un alcance
descriptivo. Los participantes fueron 75 adolescentes de 14 a 18 a帽os de una Instituci贸n
Educativa en la ciudad de Cuenca. Los instrumentos que se aplicaron fueron: el Cuestionario
de Adicci贸n a Redes Sociales ARS y la Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg EAR. Los
resultados obtenidos evidenciaron que los adolescentes presentaron puntajes bajos de
adicci贸n a redes sociales y la dimensi贸n predominante fue el uso excesivo de las redes
sociales. Mientras que los niveles de autoestima de los adolescentes se destacan por ser
medios (36%) y altos (36%). Se concluye que los adolescentes no presentan adicci贸n a redes
sociales y cuentan con niveles adecuados de autoestima.Adolescence is a vulnerable stage due to the different risk behaviors that are carried out with

from peers. This is why, in modern times, the use of social media networks has become
something essential for adolescents due to the benefits they obtain. However, inappropriate
use could trigger an addiction, which may be associated with low self-esteem. Therefore, this
research had the general objective of describing the scores of addiction to social networks
and the levels of self-esteem in high school adolescents. The approach was quantitative with
a non-experimental design and a descriptive scope. The participants were 75 adolescents
from 14 to 18 years old from an Educational Institution in the city of Cuenca. The instruments
that were applied were: the Social Networks Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) and the
Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (EAR). The results obtained showed that adolescents
presented low scores of addiction to social networks and the predominant dimension was
excessive use of social networks. While the levels of self-esteem of adolescents stand out for
being medium (36%) and high (36%). It is concluded that adolescents do not present addiction
to social networks and have adequate levels of self-esteem.0000-0003-4360-500
