Chiral Perturbation Theory and Finite Size Effects on the Nucleon Mass in unquenched QCD
We calculate finite size effects on nucleon masses in chiral perturbation
theory. We confront the theoretical predictions with N_f=2 lattice results and
discuss chiral extrapolation formulae.Comment: talk at Lattice 03 (spectrum), 3 pages latex, 3 figures. Assignment

Pregnancy outcome in women with antiphospholipid syndrome on low-dose aspirin and heparin: a retrospective study.
This retrospective review of hospital records analysed pregnancy outcome with 2 different treatments for women with recurrent miscarriage diagnosed with antiphospholipid syndrome in the index pregnancy. Of 64 women, 29 had received aspirin and 35 aspirin plus heparin. Pregnancy-induced hypertension, prematurity, intrauterine growth restriction and neonatal death were considered as maternal and fetal complications. There were no significant differences in antenatal and maternal complications between the groups. However, there were significant differences in mean anticardiolipin IgG antibody levels. Aspirin alone or in combination with parin was equally efficacious in women with antiphospholipid syndrome and recurrent miscarriage
Two flavors of dynamical quarks on anisotropic lattices
We report on our study of two-flavor full QCD on anisotropic lattices using
-improved Wilson quarks coupled with an RG-improved glue. The bare gauge
and quark anisotropies corresponding to the renormalized anisotropy
are determined as functions of and , which
covers the region of spatial lattice spacings --0.16 fm and
--0.9. The calibrations of the bare anisotropies are
performed with the Wilson loop and the meson dispersion relation at 4 lattice
cutoffs and 5--6 quark masses. Using the calibration results we calculate the
meson mass spectrum and the Sommer scale . We confirm that the values of
calculated for the calibration using pseudo scalar and vector meson
energy momentum dispersion relation coincide in the continuum limit within
errors. This work serves to lay ground toward studies of heavy quark systems
and thermodynamics of QCD including the extraction of the equation of state in
the continuum limit using Wilson-type quark actions.Comment: 16 pages, 23 figures, Version accepted for publication in Physical

Calculation of Finite Size Effects on the Nucleon Mass in Unquenched QCD using Chiral Perturbation Theory
The finite size effects on nucleon masses are calculated in relativistic
chiral perturbation theory. Results are compared with two-flavor lattice
results.Comment: talk at Confinement03, 5 pages latex, 3 figures. Assignment of 2 data

Spectroscopy of Hadrons with b Quarks from Lattice NRQCD
Preliminary results from an extensive lattice calculation of the B, B_c, and
\Upsilon spectrum at quenched \beta = 6.0 are presented. The study includes
radially and orbitally excited mesons, and baryons containing b quarks. The b
quarks are formulated using NRQCD; for light and c quarks, a tadpole-improved
clover action is used.Comment: talk given at LATTICE98(heavyqk), 3 pages LaTeX, 2 Postscript figure
Accelerating Hasenbusch's acceleration of Hybrid Monte Carlo
Hasenbusch has proposed splitting the pseudo-fermionic action into two parts,
in order to speed-up Hybrid Monte Carlo simulations of QCD. We have tested a
different splitting, also using clover-improved Wilson fermions. An additional
speed-up between 5 and 20% over the original proposal was achieved in
production runs.Comment: Poster presented by H. Stueben at Lattice2003, meta-data correcte
B Meson Decay Constants From NRQCD
We present quenched results for B meson decay constants using NRQCD b quarks
and O(a) tadpole improved clover light quarks. For the first time, one-loop
matching factors between lattice and continuum currents are incorporated
through O(\alpha/M) taking operator mixing fully into account. This includes an
important O(\alpha a) discretization correction to the heavy-light axial vector
current. We find f_B = 0.147(11)(^{+8}_{-12})(9)(6) MeV and f_{B_s}/f_B =
1.20(4)(^{+4}_{-0}).

Flavor Singlet Meson Mass in the Continuum Limit in Two-Flavor Lattice QCD
We present results for the mass of the eta-prime meson in the continuum limit
for two-flavor lattice QCD, calculated on the CP-PACS computer, using a
renormalization-group improved gauge action, and Sheikholeslami and Wohlert's
fermion action with tadpole-improved csw. Correlation functions are measured at
three values of the coupling constant beta corresponding to the lattice spacing
a approx. 0.22, 0.16, 0.11 fm and for four values of the quark mass parameter
kappa corresponding to mpi over mrho approx. 0.8, 0.75, 0.7 and 0.6. For each
beta, kappa pair, 400-800 gauge configurations are used. The two-loop diagrams
are evaluated using a noisy source method. We calculate eta-prime propagators
using local sources, and find that excited state contributions are much reduced
by smearing. A full analysis for the smeared propagators gives
metaprime=0.960(87)+0.036-0.248 GeV, in the continuum limit, where the second
error represents the systematic uncertainty coming from varying the functional
form for chiral and continuum extrapolations.Comment: 9 pages, 19 figures, 4 table
Perturbative renormalization factors in domain-wall QCD with improved gauge actions
We evaluate renormalization factors of the domain-wall fermion system with
various improved gauge actions at one loop level. The renormalization factors
are calculated for quark wave function, quark mass, bilinear quark operators,
three- and four-quark operators in modified minimal subtraction (MS-bar) scheme
with the dimensional reduction(DRED) as well as the naive dimensional
regularization(NDR). We also present detailed results in the mean field
improved perturbation theory.Comment: 44 page
