Teaching Strategies to Enhance Motor Skills Learning for Groups of Students: The Effects of Verbal and Visual Feedback on Performance in Pole Vault Practice
This paper contributes to enhancing a comparative study on a creative conduct of teaching method in physical education sessions. We search for determine the evolution of teacher representations related to the understanding of the particular practice of pole vaulting and its teaching by integrating a computer-video artifact into an educational environment. This study was done in two graduate classes of high school including (N = 44) students. These are two groups; aged between 15 and 18 (One group of students was provided with a verbal and gestural communication, while the other was asked to view an artifact video). The pole vole learning cycle consisted of 14 sessions, divided between two sessions per week. The findings were consistent with the difference between methods of teaching in line with tasks of learning. Through this experiment and lessons feedbacks, we have been able to conclude that the use of the Computer Communication Technology and precisely of the video image artifact, was source of progression of the motor learning for the large majority of the students from the all group study. This research is opened to understand and appreciate how to best design video lectures that encourage learning and developing knowledge. Curriculum Method Grounded on Didactic Engineering to Expertise Physical Education Program Proposal
The purpose of this article is to identify and understand the reasons of actors of the neosphere and those of the scientific literature for the implementation of the pole vault practice in physical education program. The case of a didactic transposition for teaching pole vaulting practice at school is presented and the relationships between teachers and learners of this discipline are identified. Epistemological analyses of the practice of pole vaulting as well as a transpositive study of its implementation were useful to curry on the practice framework of the discipline. This background allowed quantitative and qualitative analyses for professional learning of pole vaulting. These allowed identifying global and generic trends of adapted and integrated study sections. Reports of crossing and separation between the practice of pole vaulting and the learner’s skills were highlighted. Difficulties related to contextual factors were identified. The synthetic didactical training analysis led to propose practical teaching programs for pole vaulting at school. The Role of Social Capital in the Creation of Family-Owned Smes Empirical Study by Entrepreneurs Sfax Region
Entrepreneurship has widely studied the importance of the entrepreneur’s social capital in the acquisition of external resources, notably financial and informational resources, to lannch a business. This relational capital is often influenced by factors related to family and professional experience. In this sense, we provide an in-depth study of the development and amplification of relational capital of a project carrier in order to analyze how a network of entrepreneurial relationships could be equipped with the necessary means for the radiation of its company. This present work aims at exploring the distinctive elements of the family business’s social capital. In fact, a qualitative exploratory study was conducted with reference out to nine entrepreneurs in order to highlight these key points
ETV6-RUNX1 Rearrangement in Tunisian Pediatric B-Lineage Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
In this study, Forty-one out of fifty-seven Tunisian children with B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), and without cytogenetically detectable recurrent abnormalities at the time of the diagnosis, were evaluated by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) for the t(12;21). This translocation leads ETV6-RUNX1 (previously TEL-AML1) fusion gene. 16 patients (28%) had ETV6-RUNX1 rearrangement. In addition to this rearrangement, two cases showed a loss of the normal ETV6 allele, and three others showed an extra signal of the RUNX1 gene.
Seven patients without ETV6-RUNX1 rearrangement showed extra signals of the RUNX1 gene. One out of the 7 patients was also associated with a t(3;12) identified by FISH. This is the first Tunisian study in which we report the incidence of t(12;21) among childhood B-lineage ALL and in which we have found multiple copies of RUNX1.
Finally, our findings confirm that additional or secondary genetic changes are commonly encountered in pediatric B-lineage ALL with ETV6-RUNX1 gene fusion which is envisaged to play a pivotal role in disease progression
The relationship between emotional intelligence, anxiety, and performance in physical education and sport students
Emotional intelligence (EI) has been recently the main target in research on sports psychology. The objectives of this study were to investigate the relation between self-report measures of emotional intelligence, pre-competitive anxiety, and performance among students during the physical education exam of the high school final year. This cross-sectional study was conducted on a sample of 350 students attending the physical education exam in the year 2021–2022. Analysis of the correlations between the scores of Emotional intelligence and anxiety showed that self-confidence was positively correlated with all dimensions of Emotional intelligence (Beta = 0.524; p = 0.000). Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that the most related items to performance were self-confidence in a positive direction (r = 0.56; p = 0.000) and negatively with somatic anxiety (r = −0, 39; p = 0.000). Considering the Emotional intelligence subscales, hetero-emotional management was significantly positively associated with performance (p = 0.000) however emotional perception was negatively correlated with performance (p = 0.003). These results demonstrate the importance of social and emotional learning programs for improving self-confidence and better management of emotions during physical education and sports
The role of the calmodulin-binding and calmodulin-like domains of the epidermal growth factor receptor in tyrosine kinase activation
The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) harbors a calmodulin (CaM)-binding domain (CaM-BD) and a CaM-like domain (CaM-LD) upstream and downstream, respectively, of the tyrosine kinase (TK) domain. We demonstrate in this paper that deletion of the positively charged CaM-BD (EGFR/CaM-BD∆) inactivated the TK activity of the receptor. Moreover, deletion of the negatively charged CaM-LD (EGFR/CaM-LD∆), leaving a single negative residue (glutamate), reduced the activity of the receptor. In contrast, substituting the CaM-LD with a histidine/valine-rich peptide (EGFR/InvCaM-LD) caused full inactivation. We also demonstrated using confocal microscopy and flow cytometry that the chimera EGFR-green fluorescent protein (GFP)/CaM-BD∆, the EGFR/CaM-LD∆, and EGFR/InvCaM-LD mutants all bind tetramethylrhodamine-labelled EGF. These EGFR mutants were localized at the plasma membrane as the wild-type receptor does. However, only the EGFR/CaM-LD∆ and EGFR/InvCaM-LD mutants appear to undergo ligand-dependent internalization, while the EGFR-GFP/CaM-BD∆ mutant seems to be deficient in this regard. The obtained results and in silico modelling studies of the asymmetric structure of the EGFR kinase dimer support a role of a CaM-BD/CaM-LD electrostatic interaction in the allosteric activation of the EGFR TK.Consejería de Educación, Juventud y Deportes–Comunidad de Madrid,Grant/Award Number: B2017/BMD‐36involving contributions from the EuropeanFunds for Regional Development (EFRD) andthe Social European Fund (SEF); ConsejoSuperior de Investigaciones Científicas, Grant/Award Number: COOPA20053;Secretaría de Estado de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación, Grant/Award Number: SAF2014‐52048‐R; Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo, Grant/Award Numbers: A/019018/08,A/5444/06, A/8197/0
