Thermodynamics of static and stationary black holes in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity with dark matter
This paper studies Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet (EGB) black holes surrounded by
three phenomenological distributions of dark matter halos. The main result is
obtaining the analytical solutions for the metric and all thermodynamic
quantities, such as Hawking temperature, entropy, constant-volume heat
capacity, and Gibbs free energy for static and stationary black hole solutions.
Consequently, we determine a non-null horizon radius at which the black hole
halts its evaporation by vanishing the temperature, indicating the emergence of
remnants. In the stationary case, we also obtain the ergosphere regions for the
found solutions and compare them. Finally, we find local and global phase
transitions by studying the behavior of the heat capacity and Gibbs free
energy.Comment: We add the rotation black hole case. The new version has 22 pages and

Horizon Fractalization in Black Strings Ungravity
In this paper we study the scalar(tensor) and vector unparticle corrections
for cosmic and black strings. Initially we have considered an static cosmic
string ansatz from which we obtain the solution in terms of first and second
kind Bessel functions. We have also obtained the solution for black string in
the unparticle scenario. We could identify two regimes, namely, a gravity
dominated regime and an ungravity dominated regime. In the gravity dominated
regime the black string solution recovers the usual solution for black strings.
The Hawking temperature was also studied in both regimes and in the ungravity
dominated regime. As in the static and rotating black hole, we found a
fractalization of the event horizon. This points to the fact that
fractalization is a natural consequence of unparticles. Finally, we study the
thermodynamic of the black string in the ungravity scenario by computing the
entropy, heat capacity and free energy. For both cases we find that, depending
on the region of the parameter , we can have phase transitions.Comment: 18 pages, 6 figure

A Transfer Matrix Method for Resonances in Randall-Sundrum Models
In this paper we discuss in detail a numerical method to study resonances in
membranes generated by domain walls in Randall-Sundrum-like scenarios. It is
based on similar works to understand the quantum mechanics of electrons subject
to the potential barriers that exist in heterostructures in semiconductors.
This method was used recently to study resonances of a three form field and
lately generalized to arbitrary forms. We apply it to a lot of important
models, namely those that contain the Gauge, Gravity and Spinor fields. In many
cases we find a rich structure of resonances which depends on the parameters
involved.Comment: 25 pages, 17 figure
Dual Spaces of Resonance In Thick Branes
In this work we consider form fields in a brane embedded in a
space-time. The membrane is generated by a domain wall in a
Randall-Sundrum-like scenario. We study conditions for localization of zero
modes of these fields. The expression agrees and generalizes the one found for
the zero, one, two and three-forms in a brane. By a generalization we mean
that our expression is valid for any form in an arbitrary dimension with
codimension one. We also point out that, even without the dilaton coupling,
some form fields are localized in the membrane. The massive modes are
considered and the resonances are calculated using a numerical method. We find
that different spaces have identical resonance structures, which we call dual
spaces of resonances(DSR).Comment: 15 page
