State-Dependent Relay Channel with Private Messages with Partial Causal and Non-Causal Channel State Information
In this paper, we introduce a discrete memoryless State-Dependent Relay
Channel with Private Messages (SD-RCPM) as a generalization of the
state-dependent relay channel. We investigate two main cases: SD-RCPM with
non-causal Channel State Information (CSI), and SD-RCPM with causal CSI. In
each case, it is assumed that partial CSI is available at the source and relay.
For non-causal case, we establish an achievable rate region using
Gel'fand-Pinsker type coding scheme at the nodes informed of CSI, and
Compress-and-Forward (CF) scheme at the relay. Using Shannon's strategy and CF
scheme, an achievable rate region for causal case is obtained. As an example,
the Gaussian version of SD-RCPM is considered, and an achievable rate region
for Gaussian SD-RCPM with non-causal perfect CSI only at the source, is
derived. Providing numerical examples, we illustrate the comparison between
achievable rate regions derived using CF and Decode-and-Forward (DF) schemes.Comment: 5 pages, 2 figures, to be presented at the IEEE International

From Energeopolitics to Technoenergeopolitics, Case Study: Saudi Arabia
With the increasing development of technology, human will be able to optimally use energy resources. Policies applied in the field of energy are critical, because they can greatly support energy security by presenting appropriate solutions. One of these solutions is to use modern technology for development in this area. As a research originated from a dissertation, this paper attempted to focus on energy (oil & gas) as one of the geopolitical variables to evaluate the effects of technology on them. Also, based on a descriptive-analytic approach, this paper tried to utilize SWOT analysis method in the field of energeopolitics to represent the impacts of technology in this field, so based on that information, it could investigate the impacts of these factors on the energy security and thus on the national security of Saudi Arabia. Keywords: energeopolitics, technoenergeopolitics, Saudi Arabia, energy policy, Energy Security, national security
Using spatial resource planning in geo-economics and sustainable development of the city
SRP (Spatial resource planning) used in the infrastructure. This type of planning is
operational for management of the facility and asset of the equipments to manage
devices and their integrity such as PIMS (pipeline integrity management system).the
terminology of SRP is to manage from detail data of an element in the infrastructure
within a data model which is as sophisticated as the real world. There are a lot of
computer applications that helps engineers to manage the infrastructure like telecom,
water pipe, sewerage and other urban facilities. This paper describes the way to use
the SRP term for managing a city geopolitically and geo-economically
ECG Denoising using Angular Velocity as a State and an Observation in an Extended Kalman Filter Framework
International audienceIn this paper an efficient filtering procedure based on Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) has been proposed. The method is based on a modified nonlinear dynamic model, previously introduced for the generation of synthetic ECG signals. The proposed method considers the angular velocity of ECG signal, as one of the states of an EKF. We have considered two cases for observation equations, in one case we have assumed a corresponding observation to angular velocity state and in the other case, we have not assumed any observations for it. Quantitative evaluation of the proposed algorithm on the MIT-BIH Normal Sinus Rhythm Database (NSRDB) shows that an average SNR improvement of 8 dB is achieved for an input signal of -4 dB
Fiducial points extraction and charactericwaves detection in ECG signal using a model-based bayesian framework
International audienceThe automatic detection of Electrocardiogram (ECG) waves is important to cardiac disease diagnosis. A good perfor- mance of an automatic ECG analyzing system depends heavily upon the accurate and reliable detection of QRS complex, as well as P and T waves. In this paper, we propose an efficient method for extraction of characteristic points of ECG signal. The method is based on a nonlinear dynamic model, previously introduced for generation of synthetic ECG signals. For estimating the parameters of model, we use an Extendend Kalman Filter (EKF). By introducing a simple AR model for each of the dynamic parameters of Gaussian functions in model and considering separate states for ECG waves, the new EKF structure was constructed. Quantitative and qualitative evaluations of the proposed method have been done on Physionet QT database (QTDB). This method is also compared with another EKF approach (EKF17). Results show that the proposed method can detect fiducial points of ECG precisely and mean and standard deviation of estimation error do not exceed two samples (8 msec)
Compound Multiple Access Channel with Confidential Messages
In this paper, we study the problem of secret communication over a Compound
Multiple Access Channel (MAC). In this channel, we assume that one of the
transmitted messages is confidential that is only decoded by its corresponding
receiver and kept secret from the other receiver. For this proposed setting
(compound MAC with confidential messages), we derive general inner and outer
bounds on the secrecy capacity region. Also, as examples, we investigate 'Less
noisy' and 'Gaussian' versions of this channel, and extend the results of the
discrete memoryless version to these cases. Moreover, providing numerical
examples for the Gaussian case, we illustrate the comparison between achievable
rate regions of compound MAC and compound MAC with confidential messages.Comment: Accepted at IEEE ICC 2014. arXiv admin note: substantial text overlap
