Tips for Helping Children with Attachment Issues in School : By study review about children with attachment issues

    Get PDF
The purpose of this study is to examine effective supports for children with attachment issues in school by review of previous studies. First, this study reviews studies about the influence on child development of the formation process of attachment. And suggested that how can understand children’s actual behavior and how can support children with attachment issues. Second, this study reviews studies about the school adjustment on child with attachment issues. Third, this study reviews studies about programs such as social skill training for children with attachment issues and roles of school counselors. Finally, this study discusses the possibility and problem about the concept of “school as a team”. While it is important that to take advantage of school counselor and/or school social worker to help children with attachment issues in school, but on the other hand, there are some problems in assimilation of the result of psychological assessment or planning to help children. To resolve these problems, it is needed to use objective assessment tools such as “Boxall Profile” and/or development human resources who can make a plan with professional knowledge about school and education

Practicing active learning teacher training to develop “Teachers as Continuous Learners”: A study on the case of self-paticipation training

The purpose of this study is to examine a case study of an active learning teacher training program that has been tried and tested with the aim of fostering “Teachers as Continueous Learners”, and to identify what is the important elements for the development of “Teachers as Continueous Learners”. The results of the Case 1, the voluntary training group scored significantly higher than the general group on "training approach," "emotional engagement," "behavioral engagement," and "learning bridging,". In Case 2, all of the participants in the training showed high motivation to participate in the next training. Categorical analysis of the reasons for their participation revealed the following categories: "Deepening of learning," "Significance of interaction," "Understanding of concrete conditions," "Empowerment," and "Recognition of the importance of AL externalization. Although the participants' motivation was expected to be high in the two workshops, it was suggested that the participants' satisfaction with the training and their willingness to participate in the next workshop may be enhanced by the fact that they were encouraged to interact with each other in small groups about specific instructions and to externalize AL and LB

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to consider the desirable way of educational guidance that accepts diversity that will be required in the future in Japan by referring to Hawaii's educational practice that accepts diversity and tries to respond to the needs of all children. The authors visited K5 school, K6 school, and two K12 schools, and find how effective to do UDL, PBIS, and SEL. In this paper, the authors suggest what is important for the whole person education

A novel lophine-based fluorescence probe and its binding to human serum albumin

The binding of a lophine-based fluorescence probe, 4-[4-(4-dimethylaminophenyl)-5-phenyl-1H-imidazol-2-yl]benzoic acid methyl ester (DAPIM) with human serum albumin (HSA) was investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy under physiological conditions. While DAPIM shows extreme low fluorescence in aqueous solution, DAPIM binding with HSA emits strong fluorescence at 510nm. The binding constant and binding number determined by Scatchard plot was 3.65×106M-1 and 1.07, respectively. Competitive binding between DAPIM and other ligands such as warfarin, valproic acid, diazepam and oleic acid, were also studied fluorometrically. The results indicated that the primary binding site of DAPIM to HSA is site II at subdomain IIIA. DAPIM can be a useful fluorescence probe for the characterization of drug-binding sites. In addition to the interaction study, because the fluorescence intensity of DAPIM increased in proportion to HSA concentration, its potential in HSA assay for serum sample was also evaluated

    Hemichordate genomes and deuterostome origins

Acorn worms, also known as enteropneust (literally, ‘gut-breathing’) hemichordates, are marine invertebrates that share features with echinoderms and chordates. Together, these three phyla comprise the deuterostomes. Here we report the draft genome sequences of two acorn worms, Saccoglossus kowalevskii and Ptychodera flava. By comparing them with diverse bilaterian genomes, we identify shared traits that were probably inherited from the last common deuterostome ancestor, and then explore evolutionary trajectories leading from this ancestor to hemichordates, echinoderms and chordates. The hemichordate genomes exhibit extensive conserved synteny with amphioxus and other bilaterians, and deeply conserved non-coding sequences that are candidates for conserved gene-regulatory elements. Notably, hemichordates possess a deuterostome-specific genomic cluster of four ordered transcription factor genes, the expression of which is associated with the development of pharyngeal ‘gill’ slits, the foremost morphological innovation of early deuterostomes, and is probably central to their filter-feeding lifestyle. Comparative analysis reveals numerous deuterostome-specific gene novelties, including genes found in deuterostomes and marine microbes, but not other animals. The putative functions of these genes can be linked to physiological, metabolic and developmental specializations of the filter-feeding ancestor
