    The purpose of this study was to investigate the therapeutic effects of 670 nm irradiation in patients with diabetic macular edema. In several studies, positive effects of red/near-infrared irradiation showed in a range of ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, macular edema, and retinitis pigmentosa. This study was conducted on forty five eyes of 26 diabetic patients with macular edema between the ages of 51 and 80.Measurement of visual acuity and slit lamp examination, funduscopy, and optical coherence tomography were performed in all subjects. None of the patients had proliferative retinopathy. We used a portable LED device (Warp 10, Quantum Devices) for treatment. Patients held this device at a distance of 3 cm from their eyes for 240 seconds for three months. Full ophthalmic examinations were repeated 1, 2, and 3 months after treatment.After 3 months, the mean visual acuity improved from 0.44 Β± 0.38 log MAR to 0.27 Β± 0.24 log MAR and vision increased by 1.52 Β± 1.16 lines post treatment (Ρ€<0.001). The mean central macula thickness decreased from 381.49 Β± 144.40 ΞΌm to 359.72 Β± 128.84 ΞΌm (Ρ€=0.050). In patients with mild and moderate nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy, the mean central retinal thickness decreased 52.06 Β± 67.78 ΞΌm and 39.27 Β± 44.69 ΞΌm, respectively, but patients with severe type showed an increase of 34.93 Β± 65.65 ΞΌm in the mean central retinal thickness (Ρ€<0.001). Also, the severity of macular edema had no effect on final outcomes (Ρ€>0.05).     Learning Programming, Syntax Errors and Institution-specific Factors

    Learning programming is a road that is paved with mistakes. Initially, novices are bound to write code with syntactic mistakes, but after a while semantic mistakes take a larger role in the novice programmers’ lives. Researchers who wish to understand that road are increasingly using data recorded from students’ programming processes. Such data can be used to draw inferences on the typical errors, and on how students approach fixing them. At the same time, if the lens that is used to analyze such data is used only from one angle, the view is likely to be narrow. In this work, we replicate a previous multi-institutional study by Brown et al. [5]. That study used a large scale programming process data repository to analyze mistakes that novices make while learning programming. In our single institution replication of that study, we use data collected from approximately 800 students. We investigate the frequency, time required to fix, and the development of mistakes through the semester. We contrast our findings from our single institution with the multi-institutional study, and show that whilst the data collection tools and the research methodology are the same, the results can differ solely due to how the course is conducted

This array dataset which is linked to our publication (Zhang et al., 2015) describes the profiling of human miRNAs in tonsil and normal adjacent tissues. With this dataset, we identified a list of microRNA (miRNA) which were highly over represented in tonsil cancers and showed that several miRNAs were able to regulate the tumour suppressor PDCD4 in a temporal manner. The data wereanalyzed qualitatively with sources that student sand teachers. Based on analysis, it can be conclu dedin creased student learningto writeinevery cycle. The first cycle of the averageob tained was 58 witha percentage of 25% completeness.     Long non-coding RNAs harboring miRNA seed regions are enriched in prostate cancer exosomes

    Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) form the largest transcript class in the human transcriptome. These lncRNA are expressed not only in the cells, but they are also present in the cell-derived extracellular vesicles such as exosomes. The function of these lncRNAs in cancer biology is not entirely clear, but they appear to be modulators of gene expression. In this study, we characterize the expression of lncRNAs in several prostate cancer exosomes and their parental cell lines. We show that certain lncRNAs are enriched in cancer exosomes with the overall expression signatures varying across cell lines. These exosomal lncRNAs are themselves enriched for miRNA seeds with a preference for let-7 family members as well as miR-17, miR-18a, miR-20a, miR-93 and miR-106b. The enrichment of miRNA seed regions in exosomal lncRNAs is matched with a concomitant high expression of the same miRNA. In addition, the exosomal lncRNAs also showed an over representation of RNA binding protein binding motifs. The two most common motifs belonged to ELAVL1 and RBMX. Given the enrichment of miRNA and RBP sites on exosomal lncRNAs, their interplay may suggest a possible function in prostate cancer carcinogenesis

    Semarang city is the capital of Central Java Province which has 16 districts, one of the districts is Gayamsari. Gayamsari district was growing from year to year, one of caused by increased population growth resulted in the control of utilization or land use which is expected to be able to accommodate the ever growing population activities. Changes in land use and community activities are quite high resulting the value of land in the Gayamsari district is changes. So that research is needed to perform the analysis of land use change on changes in the value of land.This research was originally done by making an initial zone using administrative map of Gayamsari district and Quickbird imagery. Furthermore, the making of maps of land value zone in 2004 and 2014. In the land use maps of 2004 and 2014 have been overlaid, in order to obtain a map of land use changes. At the final stage of the analysis of land use changes to changes in the value of land in Gayamsari district.The results showed the total area of land use change in Gayamsari district in the period 2004 to 2014 was 106 ha. The land-use change occurs on dry land into residential use with an area of 24 ha. While the smallest land-use change occurs in the use of unused land into a trade and services with an area of 0,16 ha. The highest increase in value of land occur on changes of the unused land into a trade and services in the amount of Rp. 1.678.000 per m2. While the lowest increase in value of land occur on changes of the fishpond into unused land is Rp. 44.000 per m2
