    The Effect of Principal’s Management and Teacher’s Performance on Student’s Learning Interests

    This study aimed at determining the effect of principal management, teacher performance on students' interest in learning. This research uses quantitative methods. The population of this study were students of State Elementary School 79, State Elementary School 88 and State Elementary School 83 in the Jakabaring area of Palembang City specifically for class VI, totaling 468. The sample was taken 216 from 468 respondents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, there was a significant influence between the management of the school’s principal and the performance of the teachers together on student’s learning interest. It can be seen from the ANOVA test or F-test, that principal’s management and teacher’s performance have a significant effect on interest in learning. So, the interest in learning can be improved significantly by principal’s management and teacher’s performance. This means that the higher of the quality school principal's management and the higher of the teacher's performance level, will grow the student's interest in learning

    The Influence of Principal's Leadership and School's Climate on The Work Productivity of Vocational Pharmacy Teachers in Indonesia

    This study determined the effect of school principal leadership and school climate on the work productivity of SMK Pharmacy teachers in Palembang. Data in this study were collected through questionnaire distribution to respondents. The results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed by multiple regression analysis through t test, F test, and the coefficient of determination test. The population in this study were all teachers who teach at the Pharmacy Vocational School in Palembang from 8 schools totaling 151 people. The sample in this study was based on calculations using the Slovin formula. So that the number of samples obtained in this study were 110 teachers. The results of this study indicate (1) there is a significant influence of school principal leadership on teacher work productivity; (2) there is a significant influence of school climate on teacher work productivity; (3) there is a significant influence of school principals leadership and school climate together on teacher work productivity. This paper contributes to educational principal to improve leadership and climate whether they would have very good teacher’s work productivity

    Fairy Tale as a Medium for Children’s Character Cooperation Building

    A fairy tale is a fantasy story which gives moral education, and can be one of the media used for character building. One of the values found in a fairy tale is cooperation. Children’s character building strategy is done through giving fairy tales, listening to fairy tales, and creating a supportive reading environment. This study aimed at observing the ability of children in identifying the character values found in fairy tales and their ability to implement the values in their daily life. The respondents of this study were 3-4-year-old students of PAUD Pelangi Palembang. The number of the respondents was 15 students. The study used mixed methods. The data were collected through interview, observation and test. The results revealed that the value of cooperation could be effectively implemented through fairy tales. Before they were told fairy tales, the students were reluctant to tidy up their toys after they finished playing together, but after they were given a fairy tale about cooperation, the children enthusiastically cooperated to tidy up their toys, tidy up the class’ benches, throw garbage and tidy up the books on the shelf
