Peningkatan Pemahaman Konsep Dan Kompetensi Strategis Matematis Siswa SMP Dengan Pendekatan Metaphorical Thinking
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menelaah peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kompetensi strategis matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking, dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandung. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih sebanyak 2 kelas dari kelas VIII. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking, dan kelas kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran biasa. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes pemahaman konsep dan kompetensi strategis matematis, angket, pedoman observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Pengolahan data peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kompetensi strategis matematis menggunakan uji-t dan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman konsep dan kompetensi strategis matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking, dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran biasa; (2) Siswa menunjukkan sikap yang positif terhadap pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metaphorical thinking. Kata Kunci: pendekatan metaphorical thinking, pemahaman konsep matematis, kompetensi strategis matematis. This research aim to describe and to analyze the enhancement of mathematical conceptual understanding and strategic competence between students in metaphorical thinking approach and conventional learning. This kind of research is a quasi experiment. The populations of this research are all of the students of VIII grade in SMP Negeri 12 Bandung. The samples of this research are by choosing 2 classes of VIII grade. The experiment class obtains the metaphorical thinking approach, and the control class obtains the conventional learning. The research of data is obtained by giving a mathematical conceptual understanding and strategic competence test, questionnaire, the observation directive, and the interview directive. The enhancement of mathematical conceptual understanding and strategic competence is processed by the t-test and Mann-Whitney test. The result of this research showed that (1) There is enhancement difference of mathematical conceptual understanding and strategic competence between students in metaphorical thinking approach and conventional learning; (2) Students showed positive attitude towards learning by metaphorical thinking approach
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA MTs PADA MATERI FUNGSI KUADRAT MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR-SHARE (TPS)
This research was conducted to determine how the influence of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative model on the communication skills of students at MTS Negeri 1 Cimahi, especially in the quadratic function material. Classroom Action Research of often called Classroom Action Research (CAR) is a method  used in this research with the hope that it will provide information or how to improve the abilities of the teacher and student activeness in the learning process. In this research, the subjects were MTSN 1 Cimahi class IX-D students with a total of 33 students. The test is an instrument used in this study, with data processing techniques based on the average percentage of all students scores then compared with the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) in MTSN 1 Cimahi of 75. The result of the test based on the research that has been done, namely the TPS cooperative learning model have an effect on the increase in students comunication skill where there is a significant increase in the pre-cycle result of the students average score of 35,2 then after implementing cycle 1 learning, the average result of student experience an increase of 78. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded and said that the research that has been done is complete because it has reached the desired target. Classes that have implemented the TPS cooperative learning model can create a more lively classroom atmosphere because it requires students to be active and creative during the learning process. So, this proves that the TPS cooperative model can improve student 'communication skills and students' learning completeness with quadrta function material in class IX-D MTSN 1 Cimahi
ANALISIS KESULITAN SISWA SMP KELAS VIII DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MATERI STATISTIKA BERDASARKAN TAKSONOMI BLOOM MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN DARING
This study aims to analyze the difficulties of class VIII junior high school students in working on statistical problems through online learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method, by giving a test in the form of a description consisting of 3 questions using Bloom's taxonomic thinking ability level. The subjects in this research were students in class VIII at SMPN 6 Cimahi, totaling 17 students. The data collection technique used in this study is in the form of test results with Bloom's taxonomic ability level. low-level abilities represent C3, C4 and C5 represent moderate-level thinking skills and C6 represent high-level thinking. The results of the interpretation of the difficulties that students face in solving statistical problems are C3 got a good interpretation, C4 and C5 with less interpretation. Difficulties that affect students in solving problems on statistical material are lack of understanding of concepts, completion steps, incomplete mastery of the material, and errors in calculations. In addition, during the current pandemic, there are other non-technical obstacles such as the difficulty of accessing the internet for students living in remote areas
MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP KELAS VIII PADA MATERI PERSAMAAN GARIS LURUS MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN DARING MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK BERBANTUAN SOFTWARE GEOGEBRA
This study intends to examine the improvement of the learning outcomes of middle school students in grade VIII on straight-line equation material. The sample taken by students as many as 40 students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 4 Cimahi. Classroom action research consists of 2 cycles, each cycle consists of 2 meetings. Students are given preliminary tests on straight-line equation materials to find out the initial ability before classroom action research, cycle I and cycle II (after action) tests, and observation sheets for teachers and students. The stages of this research approach include the stages: action planning, execution of actions, observation and assessment, and reflection. The data processing technique in this study is to find the average value using Microsoft Exel. In cycle I with an average value of 78.85 and cycle II with an average value of 90 experienced an increase of 11.15 from the results of cycle I. It was concluded that learning outcomes through online learning using short students in grade VIII straight line equations can be improved by assisting geogebra software
MENINGKATKAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA SMP DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
This research is a type of classroom action research that aims to examine the improvement of independence learning and the results of mathematics learning of junior high school students on the  transformation material. The scientific approach is used as one of the learning approaches so that there is an increase in student independence learning and the results of students' math learning. This research was conducted at  MTS Negeri Cimahi involving 31 students. The research implementation was designed in two cycles consisting of cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle is carried out in 2 meetings each. The results of this study indicate an increase in students' learning independence and the results of students' math learning , as seen in the first and second cycle tests, there is an increase in independence learning and the results of students' math learning. Therefore, scientific approaches can be used in mathematics learning conducted online during the Covid-19 pandemic
PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK UNTUK MENUMBUHKAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR PADA SISWA SMK KELAS XI
The purpose of this observation is to find out whether the application of a scientific approach can help students to be more independent in learning, given that there are still passive students and a lack of enthusiasm and independence ion learning. The method used is the method of assignment and question ad answer. The population in this observation was students at one of the private vocational schools in Cimahi City and the sample was taken from 35 class XI students. The instrument used was an essay test consisting of six essay questions with a pretest, posttest, stage equipped with a questionnaire instrument consisting of 14 statements positive and 14 negative statement and interviews. The data processing technique used is triangulation technique, which combines various data processing techniques. Based on the research that has been done, the results of the application of the scientific approach show that there are changes in student learning that are more independent
ANALISIS KESULITAN SISWA SMP DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL PERSAMAAN LINEAR DUA VARIABEL
Mathematics is a subject that has a very large role for the development of education in the current era. But in fact, it is still considered a difficult lesson to learn and not interesting because there are too many formulas to memorize. Where the reason for solving students' difficulties in completing the SPLDV material in junior high school is because it is easy to find in students' daily lives. The number of 20 students of class IX SMPN Satu Atap Karya Utama is the subject of the research. The research method uses descriptive qualitative, with instruments in it, namely test questions with specified indicators. The data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. After being studied, it was found that several students had problems with the SPLDV material story questions. Errors in student answers vary from the lack of students learning concepts from SPLDV, students are still confused in determining the right method to solve problems related to SPLDV, the next obstacle is the difficulty of students changing story questions into the process of mathematical modeling due to their lack of accuracy in reading questions related to the material. PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI BARISAN DAN DERET DENGAN METODE REWARD
This research is included in classroom action research or classroom action research to examine efforts to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes after being rewarded. The hypothesis is that the method of giving rewards can be one of the efforts to increase motivation, which impacts student learning outcomes in series and sequence material in distance or online learning in class XI SMK students. The research instrument for class XI RPL-A SMK Pusdikhubad Cimahi in the 2020/2021 period was 34 people. Researchers used an instrument with an ability test to measure student learning outcomes and a questionnaire to measure their learning motivation. The data analysis technique used is the initial data analysis or requirements test which consists of normality test, homogeneity test. Then the final data analysis was carried out in the form of normality, homogeneity, T-Testm, N-Gain, and Treatment tests. Researchers found an increase in learning motivation and learning outcomes for class XI SMK students in online or online learning in the subject "Barisan dan Deret." This is indicated by the percentage of students' motivation scores and learning outcomes in cycles I and II. Student learning motivation in cycles I and II, namely 2.92 and 4.22, means an average increase of 1.30. And for student learning outcomes in cycles I and II, namely 52.94% and 79.41%, which means there is an average increase of 26.49%
KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA SMP KELAS VIII PADA MATERI KOORDINAT KARTESIUS DENGAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK
This study aims to examine the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students at MTs An-Nur class VIII on Cartesian Coordinates using a scientific approach. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research subjects are junior high school students at MTs An-Nur class VIII with a total of 22 students. The research instruments used in this study were pretest and posttest questions on mathematical problem-solving abilities, observation sheets for teacher and student activities, and student learning independence questionnaires. This classroom action research was carried out in 2 cycles, with the stages of the research, namely: planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed that there was a mathematical problem solving ability of junior high school students using a scientific approach
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS MATERI PERSAMAAN KUADRAT DENGAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK PADA SISWA KELAS IX MTS AN-NUR CIKALONGWETAN
The purpose of this study is to analyze the increase in understanding of mathematical concepts in quadratic equations. The method used is Classroom Action Research with the stages of research using the Taggart model. The subjects in this study were class IX students at MTs An-Nur Cikalongwetan with a sample of 15 students. Data collection techniques using test and non-test instruments. The test instruments used were pretest and posttest with indicators of understanding students' mathematical concepts. The non-test instrument was in the form of a questionnaire related to student learning independence. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative with tests processed using N-Gain, while the non-test is processed using a Likert scale. Based on the N-Gain analysis, it was concluded that there was an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts from the results of the students' pretest and posttest with a total percentage of 62.3% with quite effective criteria. Student learning independence is at an average percentage of 61.04% with strong criteria
