    Basic Teaching Skill Quality of Teacher Candidates in Microteaching Study Subject of Department of Biology Education, Pasir Pengaraian University

    This research purposed on knowing basic teaching skill quality of teacher candidates in study subject Microteaching of Department of Biology Education, Pasir Pengaraian University, academic year 2016/2016. This research is qualitative research. This research has been done in February to June 2015. The subject of this research is all of the 6th semester students who are taking the Microteaching Study Subject. The instruments of this research including syllabus, teaching plans, and questionnaire. The technique of collecting data in this research is from the research\u27s informant, that is 1) The lecturer of Department of Biology Education, 2) The faculty lecturer (from Department of English Education, Mathematics Education, Physics Education, and Sport Education), and 3) The university lecturer (from other faculty in Pasir Pengaraian University). The technique which is use is data analysis technique according to Miles & Huberman that is data reduction, data presentation, and taking conclusion. The research results explain that the basic teaching skill quality of teacher candidates in Microteaching of Department of Biology Education, Pasir Pengaraian University with ratings of 3.13 or includes good criteria

    . To improving the teaching ability of preservice teachers must understand eight basic skills of teaching. Lesson study is a model used for teaching guidance for students, because in the model developed collaborative work, collegial and mutual benefit in learning (mutual learning). The purpose of this research is to improve the teaching ability of biology education students of Pasir Pengaraian University by using lesson study model. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The data source of this research is the sixth semester of Biology education program of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Pasir Pengaraian University. Data collected by observation sheet of basic teaching skill assessment. The result of the research shows the improvement of students\u27 teaching ability on the second cycle (from the first cycle 51,78 to 73,86 in the second cycle). Thus it can be concluded that there is improvement of teaching ability of Biology University of Pasir Pengaraian by applying lesson study model

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning model two stay two stray against student learning results biology class XI MIA SMA 1 Bangun Purba learning year 2014/2015. This type of research is a quasi-experiment. This study was conducted in November and December 2014. Data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity and hypothesis testing. Experimental class averages 78.64 higher than the control class is 72.8. The results of this study can be concluded that by using the cooperative model of type two stay two stray can affect cognitive learning results of students in class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Bangun Purba 2014/2015 school year

    The aim of the study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning type of talking stick toward biological student's learning result on the human moving system at grade VIII of SMP Islam Kepenuhan for academic years on 2014/2015. The method of this study was quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design type. The sample was taken by using non random sampling. The sample was students as experiment class at grade VIIIA and students as a control class at grade VIII B. The instrument of the study was the test. The data analysis used ttest, and obtained ttest= 8,734 of significant 0,05 that ttable = 1,998, so it can be concluded that by ttest > ttable means that alternative hypothesis was accepted
