Promene trofiÄkog stanja u reci Dnjepar i njihov uticaj na zajednicu riba
Ispitivane su promene structure zajednica fitoplanktona i riba, kao i koncentracije azota i fosfora u meÄugraniÄnoj reci Dnjepar. Konstatovano je da je koncentracija mineralnog azota najvaĆŸniji factor akumulacije antropogenog zagaÄenja nizvodno u ispitivanim delovima reke Dnjepar. Ukupna koliÄina riba se povecala nizvodno sa poveÄanjem trofiÄkog statusa reke. U isto vreme proseÄna individualne teĆŸina se nizvodno smanjivala
Topology of "white" stars in relativistic fragmentation of light nuclei
In the present paper, experimental observations of the multifragmentation
processes of light relativistic nuclei carried out by means of emulsions are
reviewed. Events of the type of "white" stars in which the dissociation of
relativistic nuclei is not accompanied by the production of mesons and the
target-nucleus fragments are considered.
A distinctive feature of the charge topology in the dissociation of the Ne,
Mg, Si, and S nuclei is an almost total suppression of the binary splitting of
nuclei to fragments with charges higher than 2. The growth of the nuclear
fragmentation degree is revealed in an increase in the multiplicity of singly
and doubly charged fragments with decreasing charge of the non-excited part of
the fragmenting nucleus.
The processes of dissociation of stable Li, Be, B, C, N, and O isotopes to
charged fragments were used to study special features of the formation of
systems consisting of the lightest , d, and t nuclei. Clustering in
form of the He nucleus can be detected in "white" stars via the

Characteristics of alpha projectile fragments emission in interaction of nuclei with emulsion
The properties of the relativistic alpha fragments produced in interactions
of 84^Kr at around 1 A GeV in nuclear emulsion are investigated. The
experimental results are compared with the similar results obtained from
various projectiles with emulsion interactions at different energies. The
total, partial nuclear cross-sections and production rates of alpha
fragmentation channels in relativistic nucleus-nucleus collisions and their
dependence on the mass number and initial energy of the incident projectile
nucleus are investigated. The yields of multiple alpha fragments emitted from
the interactions of projectile nuclei with the nuclei of light, medium and
heavy target groups of emulsion-detector are discussed and they indicate that
the projectile-breakup mechanism seems to be free from the target mass number.
It is found that the multiplicity distributions of alpha fragments are well
described by the Koba-Nielsen-Olesen (KNO) scaling presentation. The mean
multiplicities of the freshly produced newly created charged secondary
particles, normally known as shower and secondary particles associated with
target in the events where the emission of alpha fragments were accompanied by
heavy projectile fragments having Z value larger than 4 seem to be constant as
the alpha fragments multiplicity increases, and exhibit a behavior independent

Clustering in light nuclei in fragmentation above 1 A GeV
The relativistic invariant approach is applied to analyzing the 3.3 A GeV
Ne fragmentation in a nuclear track emulsion. New results on few-body
dissociations have been obtained from the emulsion exposures to 2.1 A GeV
N and 1.2 A GeV Be nuclei. It can be asserted that the use of the
invariant approach is an effective means of obtaining conclusions about the
behavior of systems involving a few He nuclei at a relative energy close to 1
MeV per nucleon. The first observations of fragmentation of 1.2 A GeV B
and C nuclei in emulsion are described. The presented results allow one

Ligand design and preparation, photophysical properties, and device performance of an encapsulated-type pseudo-tris(heteroleptic) iridium(iii) emitter
The organic molecule 2-(1-phenyl-1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl)-6-(3-(1-phenyl-1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethyl)phenyl)pyridine (H3L) has been designed, prepared, and employed to synthesize the encapsulated-type pseudo-tris(heteroleptic) iridium(III) derivative Ir(Îș6-fac-C,CâČ,Câł-fac-N,NâČ,Nâł-L). Its formation takes place as a result of the coordination of the heterocycles to the iridium center and the ortho-CH bond activation of the phenyl groups. Dimer [Ir(ÎŒ-Cl)(η4-COD)]2 is suitable for the preparation of this compound of class [Ir(9h)] (9h = 9-electron donor hexadentate ligand), but Ir(acac)3 is a more appropriate starting material. Reactions were carried out in 1-phenylethanol. In contrast to the latter, 2-ethoxyethanol promotes the metal carbonylation, inhibiting the full coordination of H3L. Complex Ir(Îș6-fac-C,CâČ,Câł-fac-N,NâČ,Nâł-L) is a phosphorescent emitter upon photoexcitation, which has been employed to fabricate four yellow emitting devices with 1931 CIE (x:y) ⌠(0.52:0.48) and a maximum wavelength at 576 nm. These devices display luminous efficacies, external quantum efficiencies, and power efficacies at 600 cd mâ2, which lie in the ranges 21.4â31.3 cd Aâ1, 7.8â11.3%, and 10.2â14.1 lm W1â, respectively, depending on the device configuration
Role of the Nuclear and Electromagnetic Interactions in the Coherent Dissociation of the Relativistic Li Nucleus into the H + He Channel
The differential cross section in the transverse momentum and a total
cross section of mb for the coherent dissociation of a 3-A-GeV/
Li nucleus through the HHe channel have been measured on emulsion
nuclei. The observed dependence of the cross section is explained by the
predominant supposition of the nuclear diffraction patterns on light (C, N, O)
and heavy (Br, Ag) emulsion nuclei. The contributions to the cross section from
nuclear diffraction ( MeV/) and Coulomb MeV/)

Heavy to Light Meson Exclusive Semileptonic Decays in Effective Field Theory of Heavy Quark
We present a general study on exclusive semileptonic decays of heavy (B, D,
B_s) to light (pi, rho, K, K^*) mesons in the framework of effective field
theory of heavy quark. Transition matrix elements of these decays can be
systematically characterized by a set of wave functions which are independent
of the heavy quark mass except for the implicit scale dependence. Form factors
for all these decays are calculated consistently within the effective theory
framework using the light cone sum rule method at the leading order of 1/m_Q
expansion. The branching ratios of these decays are evaluated, and the heavy
and light flavor symmetry breaking effects are investigated. We also give
comparison of our results and the predictions from other approaches, among
which are the relations proposed recently in the framework of large energy

Plane torsion waves in quadratic gravitational theories
The definition of the Riemann-Cartan space of the plane wave type is given.
The condition under which the torsion plane waves exist is found. It is
expressed in the form of the restriction imposed on the coupling constants of
the 10-parametric quadratic gravitational Lagrangian. In the mathematical
appendix the formula for commutator of the variation operator and Hodge
operator is proved. This formula is applied for the variational procedure when
the gravitational field equations are obtained in terms of the exterior

Exposure of Nuclear Track Emulsion to a Mixed Beam of Relativistic N, C, and Be Nuclei
A nuclear track emulsion was exposed to a mixed beam of relativistic
N, C, and Be nuclei having a momentum of 2 GeV/ per
nucleon. The beam was formed upon charge exchange processes involving C
primary nuclei and their fragmentation. An analysis indicates that C
nuclei are dominant in the beam and that N nuclei are present in it. The
charge topology of relativistic fragments in the coherent dissociation of these

Longâterm population dynamics of dreissenid mussels (Dreissena polymorpha and D. rostriformis): a crossâsystem analysis
Dreissenid mussels (including the zebra mussel Dreissena polymorpha and the quagga mussel D. rostriformis) are among the world's most notorious invasive species, with large and widespread ecological and economic effects. However, their longâterm population dynamics are poorly known, even though these dynamics are critical to determining impacts and effective management. We gathered and analyzed 67 longâterm (>10 yr) data sets on dreissenid populations from lakes and rivers across Europe and North America. We addressed five questions: (1) How do Dreissena populations change through time? (2) Specifically, do Dreissena populations decline substantially after an initial outbreak phase? (3) Do different measures of population performance (biomass or density of settled animals, veliger density, recruitment of young) follow the same patterns through time? (4) How do the numbers or biomass of zebra mussels or of both species combined change after the quagga mussel arrives? (5) How does body size change over time? We also considered whether current data on longâterm dynamics of Dreissena populations are adequate for science and management. Individual Dreissena populations showed a wide range of temporal dynamics, but we could detect only two general patterns that applied across many populations: (1) Populations of both species increased rapidly in the first 1â2 yr after appearance, and (2) quagga mussels appeared later than zebra mussels and usually quickly caused large declines in zebra mussel populations. We found little evidence that combined Dreissena populations declined over the long term. Different measures of population performance were not congruent; the temporal dynamics of one life stage or population attribute cannot generally be accurately inferred from the dynamics of another. We found no consistent patterns in the longâterm dynamics of body size. The longâterm dynamics of Dreissena populations probably are driven by the ecological characteristics (e.g., predation, nutrient inputs, water temperature) and their temporal changes at individual sites rather than following a generalized time course that applies across many sites. Existing longâterm data sets on dreissenid populations, although clearly valuable, are inadequate to meet research and management needs. Data sets could be improved by standardizing sampling designs and methods, routinely collecting more variables, and increasing support
