    Co-management mangrove ecosystem in The Langge Village, Anggrek District, North Gorontalo Regency

    This research aimed to 1) determine the existing condition of Langge Village's mangroves and their utilization, 2) analyze stakeholders, the influence and mapping of co-management, and 3) analyze the form of co-management, roles, and responsibilities of stakeholders towards mangrove management in Langge Village. This research was conducted in August-November 2021. Mangrove vegetation data was collected using the line transect method; while the stakeholder data collection is done by open interviews. The data obtained from mangrove vegetation are frequency and density; while the stakeholders are in the form of interests, influence, implementation of co-management, and the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders. Based on this study, 16 species of true mangroves were found at 3 observation stations from Avicennia, Bruguiera, Ceriops, Rhizophora, Sonneratia, and Xylocarpus groups. Mangrove management in Langge Village is at the Advisory Committee stage or the advocacy stage.Keywords: Co-Management, stakeholders, management, mangrov

    KERAGAAN SPESIES FITOPLANKTON DI TELUK GORONTALO

    ABSTRAKFitoplankton merupakan organisme yang memiliki peran sangat penting dalam siklus kehidupan di perairan. Selain itu fitoplankton juga memiliki peran sebagai produsen primer dan awal mata rantai dalam jaringan makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindetifikasi jenis fitoplankton di perairan Teluk Gorontalo, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai data dasar untuk dikembangkan dalam menunjang pengelolaan perairan yang tepat. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa fitoplankton yang paling dominan tergolong dalam filum Bacillariophyta sedangkan sisanya berasal dari filum Ochrophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta, Arthropoda, Cyanobacteria, dan Charophyta. It also functions as a primary producer in the food chain and food web trophic levels. This study aimed to identify the types of phytoplankton in Gorontalo Bay; therefore, the data can be used and developed for supporting proper aquatic resources management. The results of this study revealed that the most dominant phytoplankton belonged to the phylum Bacillariophyta while the rest were from the phylum Ochrophyta, Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta, Arthropoda, Cyanobacteria, and Charophyta.Keywords: Bacillariophyta, Chlorophyta, Diatom, Gorontalo, Tomini Ba
