    Research on the application of active learning strategy type Learning Start With A Question (LSQ)) has been done to improve student's achievement on the subject of hydrocarbon in class X of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. Form of the research is experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two classes, X.5 class as experiment class and X.7 class as control class that randomly selected after testing normality and homogeneity. Experiment class was given by implementing active learning strategy type LSQ and the control class was given by conventional method. Analysis of data used t-test. Data of research obtained tcount > ttable (5,78 > 1,67). It means that using active learning strategy type LSQ can improve student's achievement on the subject of hydrocarbon in class X of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. The category improvement of student's achievement in experiment class was high category (N-Gain =0,71) and in control class was medium category (N-Gain =0,51)

    This study aims to : 1) analyzing the potential for the school to develop interactive teaching materials, 2) analyzing interactive teaching materials development procedures, 3) analyzing effectiveness the implementation interactive teaching. The results of the research and development proved that: 1) facilities and infrastructure MAN 2 Tanjungkarang be able to support interactive learning, 2) produce interactive teaching materials in pakcet CD learning program. 3) interactive learning more efficiently than conventional learning as the results of t test: t = 1.798> t table = 1.684, 4 ) interactive learning is more efficient by the results ratio of 1, 714 min, 5) more appealing to the results of the questionnaire indicated 83.262% of respondents are very interesting and 17.738% stated interest. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: 1) potensi sekolah dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar interaktif, 2) prosedur pengembangan bahan ajar interaktif, 3) efektivitas penggunaan bahan ajar interaktif. Hasil dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah ; 1) MAN 2 Tanjungkarang memiliki potensi menggunakan bahan ajar interaktif dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, 2) produk bahan ajar interaktif yang dihasilkan dalam paket program CD pembelajaran, 3) pembelajaran interaktif lebih efektif dari pembelajaran konvensional dengan hasil t tes : t hitung =1,798 > t tabel =1,684, 4) pembelajaran interaktif lebih efisien dari pembelajaran konvensional dengan perbandingan 1, 714 menit, 5) pembelajaran interaktif menarik, yang ditunjukan dengan hasil angket 83,262% responden menyatakan program sangat menarik selebihnya 17,738% menyatakan menarik.­­­­­

    Research on the application of active learning Cooperative Script method has been done in class X of SMAN Kepenuhan Kabupaten Rokan Hulu on the subject of atomic structure. Based on the results of observations conducted by researchers at the SMAN1Kepenuhan Kabupaten Rokan Hulu do known that learning is teacher centered, so that students become less active and negatively affect student achievement. The objective was to determine the increase in student achievement and increase student achievement category. The research form is an experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely class X MIA1 as the experimental group and the class X MIA2 as the control group. The experimental group is the group of students who were treated by applying the active learning of Cooperative Script method, while the control group was treated with information discussion methods. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. The results showed tarithmetic>ttable (2,07 > 1,68) and N-gain of the experimental group is 0,754 which includes the high category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application for active learning Cooperative Script method can increase student achievement in the subject of anatomic structure in SMAN 1 Kepenuhan Kabupaten Rokan Hulu

    Studi Komparasi Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Tgt dan Tai terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa pada Pokok Bahasan Hidrokarbon di Kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Rambah

    The purpose of research was to know whether there was significant difference for student's achievement between the application of the TGT and TAI models on the topic of hydrocarbon in class X Senior High School 1 Rambah and to know the cooperative learning that has been gave the best result to student's achievement between TGT and TAI models. The kind of research was the experiment research with Randomized Pretest-Posttest Comparison Group Design. There were three classes as population, X.E, X.F and X.G. There were two classes as sample of research which were choiced randomly by using normality and homogenity test. The result, class X.F as the experiment that used TGT model and class X.E as the experiment that used TAI model. The data analysis technique used to test hypothesis was the t-test of two side. The result of analysis showed that there was no significant difference the student's achievement between the application of TGT and TAI models (tobserved = -1,428 and ttable = 2,00). The test of N-gain normalized showed that students achievement between TGT and TAI models was high category with valued 0,76 and 0,81. So, the TGT and TAI models as good as to improve the student's achievement

    The aim of this research were to know misconceptions and the category level of misconceptions in the second year students of SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru aboutt concepts of chemical equallibrium. This research took place in SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru and the data were collected on April 2017. was all the students of XI MIA class of four classes. The population consisted of 161 students. The sample was all the population. This research was descriptive quantitative. The technique of collecting data used diagnostic test and interview. The result showed that students found misconception in the definition concept of chemical equallibrium with the percentage was 34,78% (category of average), for the concept of heterogen and homogen was 36,335% (average), the concept of dissociation degree was 33,54% (average), the concept of Kc measurement was 43,785% (average), the concept of Kp measurement was 27,55% (poor), the principle concept of Le Chatelier was 36,764% (average), the concept of using chemical equallibrium in world industry was 23,60% (poor)

    Ionosphere: A Month Campaign over Sipitang and Parit Raja Stations, Malaysia

    Ionospheric scintillations, which cause significant effects on satellite signals for communication and navigation, often takes place in equatorial region such as Malaysia. However, this disturbance are not fully understand due to few studies performed. This research reports the study and monitoring activity on Total Electron Content (TEC) and ionospheric scintillation in Malaysia using GPS measurements. Approach: One dual-frequency GPS receiver was positioned at the main station in Parit Raja, West Malaysia (1.86° N, 103.8° E) and Sipitang, East Malaysia (5.10° N, 115.56° E) respectively. Dual-frequency GPS data collected during the one-month ionospheric experimental campaign was used for TEC and scintillation computation and analysis. The TEC with 15 sec interval were computed from combined L1 and L2 code-pseudorange and carrier phase measurements. Whereas, the scintillation parameter S4 index was computed as a standard deviation of the received signal power normalized to average signal power every 60 sec on L1. A corrected S4 (without noise effects) was also computed and used in the analysis. Results: It was found that the daily maxima vTEC for Parit Raja (PR) ranged from 38-100 TECU, which is generally higher than those of Sipitang, which ranged from 30-42 TECU. However, a general consistency for both stations can be seen during the 1 month campaign period. Conclusions/Recommendations: In conclusion, these results show good agreement in the existence of the equatorial anomaly observed during moderate solar flux conditions and undisturbed geomagnetic condition. This will contributes to the knowledge of equatorial ionosphere and help in space weather condition. However, to better understand and characterize the ionosphere over Malaysia, more campaigns should be encouraged
