Background: A modern tele-consultation system improves patients’ monitoring and favors remote assistance in terms of facilitating the daily life to the patients. The aim of this work is to design and implement a modern remote consultation system. Methods: To achieve this work, we identify the actors who interact with the system to be developed and the use cases relating to each actor. A class model is designed to derive the relational model and the corresponding database. During implementation, we have used PHP language and MySQL database system. Results: A tele-consultation framework is implemented. The users (patients and doctors) must register then authenticate in order to use the system. The latter allows them audio and video conversation between them. Conclusion: We have given in this study how to design and implement a telemedicine system which will improve health care, ensure continuity of home care, prevent complications and thus limit hospitalizations and limit medical travel

Self-Maintainable Views Group in P2P Environment

Peer-to-Peer environment is gradually more popular for sharing data for distributed applications. Peer-to-peer makes these applications more reliable, efficient, available and scalable. Also, materialized views which are derived from base relations are often used to speed up query processing and data sharing. In this paper, we are interested in materialized view maintenance in P2P environment; we propose a new approach which uses some characteristics of views in such system. Our maintenance approach consists to create virtual groups of peers. Groups will contain views that sharing maximum of common data sources, then, we will associate at each group a set of auxiliary views which will be stored in a peer chosen by our algorithm, it will be the group center. The auxiliary views set will allow the group to be self-maintainable.  Then, we propose a view maintenance algorithm based on two steps, notification of modifications and computing & sending of view updates. Finally simulation experiments implemented with java, show that both maintenance cost and total message number are reduced using our approach, we compared group maintenance cost in various situations in order to find the optimal conditions that our proposal is more efficient.&nbsp

Background: A study about healthcare resources can improve decisions regarding the allotment and mobilization of medical resources and to better guide future investment in the health sector. Aim: The aim of this work was to design and implement a decision support system to improve medical resources allocation of Bejaia region. Methods: To achieve the retrospective cohort study, we integrated existing clinical databases from different Bejaia department health sector institutions (an Algerian department) to collect information about patients from January 2015 through December 2015. Data integration was performed in a data warehouse using the multi- dimensional model and OLAP cube. During implementation, we used Microsoft SQL server 2012 and Microsoft Excel 2010. Results: A medical decision support platform was introduced, and was implemented during the planning stages allowing the management of different medical orientations, it provides better apportionment and allotment of medical resources, and ensures that the allocation of health care resources has optimal effects on improving health. Conclusion: In this study, we designed and implemented a decision support system which would improve health care in Bejaia department to especially assist in the selection of the optimum location of health center and hospital, the specialty of the health center, the medical equipment and the medical staff
