This study aims to determine the effect of shade level on the growth of plantlets dragon fruit . This study used a completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of three treatment that is shaded by 1 (N1), 2 (N2) and 3 (N3) waring layer. Each treatment was repeated three times so there are 9 units of the experiment. Each experimental unit consisted of 10 plants. Therfore, there are a total of 90 samples of plants were observed. The results showed that the 2, 4, 6 and 8 week after planting, waring with two layers of shade treatment (N2) shown a good value for all the observations such as number of shoots, plant height and stem diameter compared to waringwith one layer of shade (N1) and 3 layer (N3)

This research was conducted in Bulupountu Dusun Jaya, District Sigi Biromaru, Sigi in June to October 2015. This study was conducted to compare the effect of various mulch types (organic and inorganic) on the growth and yield of tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill). This study uses a randomized block design consisted of five treatments, A0 = without mulch, A1= black plastic mulch, A2=silver plastic mulch, A3 = johar leaf mulch, A4 = rice straw mulch. Each treatment was repeated five times so that there are 25 experimental units. Mulching can increase growth and yield of tomato plants. Type silver plastic mulch provides the best growth and yield of tomato plants, especially on fruit weight parameters

BIOMASS ESTIMATION MODEL AND CARBON DIOXIDE SEQUESTRATION FOR MANGROVE FOREST USING SENTINEL-2 IN BENOA BAY, BALI

Remote sensing technology can be used to find out the potential of mangrove forests information. One of the potentials is to be able to absorb three times more CO2 than other forests. CO2 absorbed during the photosynthesis process, produces organic compounds that are stored in the mangrove forest biomass. Utilization of remote sensing technology is able to detect mangrove forest biomass using the density level of the vegetation index. This study focuses on determining the best AGB model based on the vegetation index and the ability of mangrove forests to absorb CO2. This research was conducted in Benoa Bay, Bali Province, Indonesia. The satellite image used is Sentinel-2. Classification of mangroves and non-mangroves using a multivariate random forest algorithm. Furthermore, the mangrove forest biomass model using a semi-empirical approach, while the estimation of CO2 sequestration using allometric equations. Mean Absolute Error (MAE) is used to evaluate the validation of the model results. The classification results showed that the detected area of Benoa Bay mangrove forest reached 1134 ha (OA: 0.98, kappa: 0.95). The best AGB estimation result is the DVI-based AGB model (MAE: 23,525) with a value range of 0 to 468.38 Mg/ha. DVI-based AGB derivatives are BGB with a value range of 0 to 79.425 Mg/ha, TAB with a value range of 0 to 547.8 Mg/ha, TCS with a value range of 0 to 257.47 Mg/ha, and ACS with a value range of 0 to 944.912 Mg/ha

Writing is an activity that requires high concentration so this activity requires a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The purpose of this study is to describe the collaborative writing process applied to students and analyze it so that it becomes an ideal model to be applied to students. The method used in this study is a qualitative method based on data sources from observations conducted during one semester. The total sample used was 60 students, with a duration of 90 minutes. Data collection techniques are interviews, questionnaires (30 students). The results of this study are that there are three stages of the collaborative writing process carried out in the classroom; 1). Pre-writing stage (reading written texts, small group discussions, and class discussions), 2). Drafting, Revision, and Editing stages, (first draft, proofreading, and editing), and 3). Collaborative writing could be effective for correcting students' mistakes, for developing students' writing skills, for combining their strengths, and for strengthening between peers and lecturer. The collaborative technique is an effective method for developing writing, reading, correcting, and suggesting skills

Research on land use change is very important to do in this time, because the land use change has an impacton physical and social environment. The purpose of this research is to determine the land use change in Baliprovince using satellite imagery data and GIS. Methods of this research are comparing the two data distribution ofland use in 2003 and 2008 obtained from interpretation of Landsat ETM+ (JICA, 2005) andALOS/ AVNIR-2.On-screen method is used to ALOS/ AVNIR-2 image data interpretation. Land use has changed between 2003and 2008. Settlements and irrigated ricefield is the most extensive land use changes, that are 2.553 ha and 2.553ha. W hereas the salting land use has not changed. Spatial representation shows in the south and central partof Bali Province is the region that have most experienced changes. Denpasar city and Badung Regency is twoadministrative regions which have most extensive experience in land use change

Development of Anti-Corruption Learning Through Comic Media and Anti-Corruption Poster

This study aims to develop anti-corruption learning using comics and posters in order to instill the values of honesty and simplicity in the students of Public Junior High School Six Malang. The Research and Development (R&D) approach was used throughout this entire study. The s The participants in this study were students at Public Junior High School Six Malang . As data collection techniques, questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation studies are used in this study, along with focus group discussions (FGD) and field notes/logbooks. The obtained data were descriptively and qualitatively analyzed. The study's findings indicate that teachers require alternative learning that can instill the values of integrity in students, as well as anti-corruption learning media that was developed in two stages (media development and material development) and has been validated to be used as an alternative learning to instill the values of integrity, particularly honesty and simplicity. According to Article 13 of Law Number 30 of 2002, one of the prevention efforts that the KPK can carry out is to organize anti-corruption education programs at all levels of education. The material assessment on the development of anti-corruption learning with comics and posters yielded an average percentage of 88%, while the media assessment yielded an average percentage of 84%, both of which were in the good category. A conclusion can be drawn that comics and posters can be used effectivel

An Analysis of Translations Techniques by Using (GT) Google Translate's English Into Indonesia in English Simple Sentences

The goal of this study was to examine the correlation between the accuracy and acceptability or also readability of Google Translation's (GT) English to Bahasa Indonesia translations of simple English sentences. This study applied a correlational quantitative research approach using survey research. The samples of this study included all students majoring in the English Language Education Study department of the fourth semester and used a purposive sample technique of around 35 students from STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo. The results showed 3 sentences rated ‘very accurate' (6%). 29 sentences (58%) were deemed ‘accurate'. Then, 11 sentences were ‘less accurate' (22%). Lastly, 7 sentences (14%) were deemed ‘not accurate'. Furthermore, based on the SPSS 26 results showed the positive constant value of 78.884 indicates positive effect of independent variable (GT translation). If the independent variable changes by one unit, so will the GT translation variable. If GT translation (X) rises by one unit, questionnaire results (Y) rise by 0.324, or 32.4%. Regarding to the findings, translation using GT through basic English sentences on selected reading texts utilized at STKIP PGRI Sidoarjo was mainly positive (64%). The investigation revealed a remarkable occurrence that GT's translations were mostly accurate
