No full textThis thesis discusses about grammatical translation errors in The 1st Times bilingual newspaper from Indonesian into English. It has some bilingual aspects that occur on the structural level and cultural sense. The 1st Times newspaper which is translated by Indonesians is a unit of this research analysis. It is chosen because the translators sometimes used their Indonesian pattern often containing the mistakes of using English in the newspaper. The method of the research is a qualitative research using descriptivecomparative analytic method. The aims of this research are to know and to determine the type of grammatical translation errors whether grammatical errors are occurred and a meaning is equivalence between Indonesian as the source language and English as the target language. As result of this research, the writer concludes that no all sentences which have been translated in The 1st Times newspapers fulfill the English standard. In other words, the sentences are interfered with their mother tongue. The errors are caused by structural factors, such as error agreement and syntactic patterns
