    Potential geothermal water is located on the coast of West Halmahera Regency. The geothermal potential is utilized by the community as a medium of traditional medicine and local tourism. Utilization of hot water sources as a fish processing media has not been done. The purpose of this study was to determine fish processing using a modified oven in geothermal water flow. The research material is anchovy (Stolephorus indicus) measuring 10 cm. Fish drying equipment is made closed (airtight) as a whole. The process of fish maturation is done by laying the fish on the base located in the oven. The results showed that the fish cooked at room temperature 2 hours at room temperature 21 oC with geothermal water flow temperature 49oC-51 oC

    Berdasarkan Rencana Umum Energi Nasional (RUEN), kontribusi energi terbarukan dalam bauran energi nasional ditargetkan sebesar 23% di tahun 2025 dan meningkat menjadi 31% pada tahun 2050. Proses transisi energi ini dilakukan oleh pemerintah sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada energi fosil yang ketersediannya diperkirakan semakin berkurang serta untuk mengurangi dampak dari emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) yang berakibat langsung terhadap intensitas perubahan iklim, dengan melakukan perubahan secara gradual melalui investasi energi terbarukan di sektor pembangkit listrik.Pada sektor kelistrikan, target RUEN yang ingin dicapai yaitu kontribusi energi terbarukan sebagai pembangkit listrik sebesar 45 GW dari total kapasitas terpasang pembangkit listrik nasional yang nilainya mencapai 135 GW pada tahun 2025. Dimana kontribusi pemanfaatan energi matahari ditargetkan sebesar 14% atau 6,5 GW. Untuk mewujudkan target 14% atau 6,5 GW kontribusi energi matahari pada tahun 2025, maka seluruh provinsi di Indonesia mendapatkan porsi untuk mengembangkan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS). Secara empiris, belum maksimalnya pemanfaatan PLTS di Maluku Utara disebabkan oleh masih kurangnya desiminasi, sosialisasi dan edukasi serta faktor regulasi dari pemerintah daerah itu sendiri terkait pemanfaatan teknologi PLTS khususnya PLTS roofto
