This research is a descriptive study that aims to examine coach communication skills perceived by athletes according to branches. A total of 767 active athletes (517 male, 250 female) in Gaziantep were chosen as the study group on a volunteer basis. Quantitative data were collected using “Coach Communication Scale in Football” developed by Abakay and Kuru (2009) (in order to obtain research data). Data collected from the study group were analyzed and reported according to the athletes’ demographics and other variables discussed in the research. The data obtained from the scale were first transferred to the electronic environment and then calculated using SPSS 22.0 package program. Arithmetic mean, One-Way ANOVA, Spearman’s rho (rs) correlation test and t-test were used for analyzing the data, for comparing the mean scores in the unrelated measures, for examining the relationship between the variables, and for Independent samples, respectively. In conclusion, in this study we conducted to determine the coach communication skills perceived by the team – and individual athletes and to reveal the differences in terms of various variables, it was found that this ratio differed significantly between individual athletes while the coach communication skills perceived by two athlete groups were high. Our findings showed that the perceived coach communication skills tended to decline in situations where the sporting history of individual athletes increased. It has been established that their communication skills improved in the situations where educational background enhanced although there was also no gender difference in both sports groups. It has been concluded that the perceived coach communication skills also improved in the situations where it would tend to increase in some variables such as athlete’s age, coach’s age and duration of training with the same coach.  Article visualizations

This study is a descriptive study meant to examine the multiple intelligence areas of students who enter the Higher Education Institution with a special talent exam. The research was conducted using the scanning model. The population of the research consists of students who have been placed in Gaziantep University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Turkish Music and State Conservatory and Fine Arts Faculty for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years with a special talent exam. The sample group consists of 408 (240 male, 168 female) students selected randomly (Sports Sciences 180, Conservatory 100, Fine Arts 128) In order to collect data in the study, “Self-Assessment Inventory in Multiple Intelligence Domains”, developed by Gardner (1993) and translated into Turkish by Saban (2001), was used. SPSS 20.0 (Statistical Packet for the Social Science) package program was used for statistical analysis of the data collected within the framework of the purpose of the research. In the evaluation of general information about students, frequency (f) and percentage (%), mean (X) and standard deviation (Ss) values were calculated. Independent sample t-test and One Way Anova tests were used for comparisons between groups, Pearson correlation analysis was used for the relationships between age groups and intelligence types, and the significance level was accepted as p= 0.05. According to the results of our research, it has been seen that the students who won higher education with a special talent exam have different intelligence areas according to gender, age, department, income status variables and these intelligence areas develop at different levels. Social, environmental, economic, etc. of these intelligence areas. considered to be affected by the circumstances. It is necessary to evaluate the theory of multiple intelligences not only as a theory of intelligence, but as a philosophy of education and training. It is also important for individuals to be aware of their own intelligence areas in terms of their role in the learning environment. Article visualizations

The purpose of this study is to reveal 14-16 age group Iraqi and Turkish boys' achievement motivation differences in terms of various personal characteristics. Working group consists of 155 children (67 Iraqis, 88 Turks) in the 14-16 age group and being interested in football. Sport Specific Achievement Motivation Scale was used to obtain research findings. SPSS 22.0 program was used to analyze the data, the independent samples test was used for comparison of pair groups, One Way ANOVA test was used for comparison of multiple groups. As a result, while the Turkish children's power showing motive and motive to approach success was significantly high, it was found that the Iraqi children had higher scores in sub-dimensions of motive to avoid failure. Therefore, the motive to avoid failure of Iraqi children was higher than their achievement motivation scores and it can be said that Iraqi children tended to move away from competition conditions. This case may be due to personally negative reflection to children's psychology of internal disorder and negative events in their country and low self-confidence. In addition, according to obtained correlation results, it can be said that the physical structure of boys (height and body weight) increases power showing motive and motive to approach success but decreases motive to avoid failure.  Article visualizations

The aim of this study is to examine the self-confidence relevance of the individuals who mountaineer and individuals who are part of search and rescue operations. Two hundred seventy nine persons voluntarily participated in the research. The research data was collected using the self-confidence scale developed by Akın (2007). There are a total of 33 articles in the scale. The scale is composed of two factors. These are the two sub dimensions being interior self-confidence and exterior self-confidence. The data collected was analyzed through the statistical package program (SPSS 16.0) and the results were interpreted. In our study, the Cronbach’s Alpha Value of the scale was calculated as 0.89. The One Way ANOVA and T-test were used in the evaluation of the research data. In the research, as regards the gender, branch, experience, age and marital status, meaningful correlations were identified. As a result, athletes who performed search and rescue have higher self-confidence than those who mountaineer. Since both fields involve risky activities, it is recommended for the athletes who are involved in outdoor sports to be encouraged to get into search and rescue operations. Regular activities and training would improve self-confidence.  Article visualizations
