Extensão universitária: Oportunidade de aprendizagem significativa para acadêmicos de enfermagem através da construção do conceito de determinantes sociais de saúde

The integration of education research and objective extension consolidate all of the student’s personal maturation process. In this light was created in 2013 the research project / scope: “The insertion of the nursing academic in scientific research focusing on the determinants and conditions of the health-disease, its consequences and relationships at different levels of care and health promotion to location, the individual and the family. The aim were to describe the use of active methodology in the process-teachinglearning in nursing undergraduate students through participation in outreach activities within the regular curriculum. We explore the project experience reporting using the methodology of questioning. During three semesters were developed 11 outreach activities, involving 118 students. We conclude that once lived experience beyond the university walls was possible to develop important skills and competencies for their professional practice, as will carry a baggage of real experiences.A integração do ensino à pesquisa e extensão objetiva consolidar todo o processo de amadurecimento pessoal do aluno. Nesta ótica foi criado em 2013 o projeto de pesquisa/extensão: “A inserção do acadêmico de enfermagem no âmbito da pesquisa científica focando os determinantes e condicionantes do processo saúde-doença, seus desdobramentos e relações em diferentes níveis de atenção e promoção da saúde à localidade, ao indivíduo e a família”. O objetivo foi descrever o uso de metodologia ativa no processoensino- aprendizagem de alunos de graduação em enfermagem através da participação em atividades de extensão dentro do currículo regular. Exploramos o relato de experiência dos projetos utilizando a metodologia da problematização. Durante três semestres foram desenvolvidas 11 atividades de extensão, envolvendo 118 alunos. Concluímos que uma vez vivenciada a experiência além dos muros da universidade foi possível desenvolver habilidades e competências importantes para seu exercício profissional, pois levará consigo uma bagagem de experiências reais

Historical evolution of configuration of the nursing team in a military hospital

Objective: to analyze the historical evolution of: configuration of the nursing team in a military hospital. Methods: a social-historical study. Historical sources: Written documents and oral statements given by five military nurses. The collected data were analyzed according to the historical method, after organization and classification. Results: when nurse officers arrive to the Military Police Central Hospital, the team of nurses counted with four civilian nurses and the chief nurse. It had 170 health sergeants and soldiers and 304 civil servants (nursing technicians and auxiliaries). Medium-level professionals who already belonged to the corporation mostly performed nursing care. Conclusion: the nurse officers faced work overload, in addition to the difficulties with the military staff of lower categories, regarding the compliance of the hierarchy that caused some conflicts, because of power disputes, in a misogynist environment.Objetivo: analisar a evolução histórica da configuração da equipe de enfermagem em um hospital militar. Métodos: estudo histórico-social. Fontes históricas: documentos escritos e depoimentos orais cedidos por cinco enfermeiras militares. Os dados coletados foram analisados em conformidade com o método histórico, após organização e classificação. Resultados: na chegada dos oficiais enfermeiros ao Hospital Central da Polícia Militar, a equipe de enfermeiros estava reduzida a quatro enfermeiros civis e à enfermeira-chefe. Contava também com cento e setenta sargentos e cabos de saúde e trezentos e quatro funcionários civis (técnicos e auxiliares de enfermagem). O cuidado de enfermagem era majoritariamente realizado por profissionais de nível médio que já pertenciam à corporação. Conclusão: os oficiais enfermeiros enfrentaram sobrecarga de trabalho, além das dificuldades com “os praças” (militares das categorias inferiores), no tocante ao acatamento da hierarquia, ocorrendo alguns embates, ensejados por disputas de poder, em um espaço misógino

Electroconvulsive therapy: historical construction of nursing care (1989-2002)

ABSTRACT Objective: to describe the nursing care performed by the nursing team to the person with mental disorder submitted to ECT and to analyze the implications of the Psychiatric Reform in this care. Method: socio-historical study, which uses the Thematic Oral History method. Results: the nursing team is present in a continuous way in the monitoring of people submitted to ECT, performing care before, during and after the same, as well as visualizing the evolution of the technique and also of nursing care itself, however, does not recognize the Psychiatric Reform as agent for this change. Final considerations: the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform triggered a process of humanization of nursing knowledge, influencing the care of the person with mental disorder submitted to ECT, with this, care practices also changed, a law was approved, regulating its practice, and its application was decreasing
