Is adenomyosis the neglected phenotype of an endomyometrial dysfunction syndrome?

Since the dissociation between adenomyoma and endometriosis in the 1920s and the laparoscopic progress in the diagnosis and surgery of endometriosis, the literature has been greatly focused on the disease endometriosis. The study of adenomyosis, on the other hand, has been neglected as the diagnosis remained based on hysterectomy specimens. However, since the introduction of magnetic resonance and sonographic imaging techniques in the 1980s, the myometrial junctional zone has been identified as a third uterine zone and interest in adenomyosis was renewed. This has also been the start for the interest in the role of the myometrial junctional zone dysfunction and adenomyosis in reproductive and obstetrical disorders

I saggi di questa raccolta affrontano la questione delle trasformazioni urbane privilegiando una precisa angolazione: quella secondo la quale sensibili benefici per lo sviluppo delle città possono essere raggiunti sulla base delle capacità che queste dimostrano nel costituire delle efficaci forme di aggregazione degli interessi - una community governance - al fine di perseguire una direzione di crescita la cui portata eccede l'ordinaria amministrazione. Gli autori ritengono che i principali dilemmi posti dalla crescita possano essere convenientemente affrontati attraverso l'utilizzo di nuovi strumenti di pianificazione la cui comparsa è relativamente recente. A tali strumenti ci si riferisce con i termini 'convenzionali' di pianificazione strategica, di cultural planning o di city marketing, sottintendendo con queste definizioni ambiti e settori d'intervento specifici e anche molto diversi tra loro. Le differenze, tuttavia, non sembrano essere altrettanto importanti quanto il fatto che, nelle loro premesse, questi strumenti condividono un medesimo scopo: quello di convincere molti attori, di diversi ambiti funzionali e istituzionali, a formare delle agende politiche come strategie di mobilitazione intorno ad ampie e non convenzionali questioni di problem-solving. AlSi5Mg0.3 Alloy for the Manufacture of Automotive Wheels

The heat-treated AlSi7Mg0.3 alloy is the standard wheel alloy as it offers the best compromise between fatigue strength and elongation. Alloys with less than 7 wt% Si may also be of interest for the manufacture of aluminium wheels to limit Si poisoning that impairs grain refinement. Hence, the potential of AlSi5Mg0.3 alloy was investigated as it could offer superior mechanical properties owing to a smaller grain structure. AlSi5Mg0.3 alloy does indeed exhibit smaller grains but fails to offer higher mechanical properties. AlSi7Mg0.3 alloy with a smaller dendritic structure but coarser grains is superior. The higher fluidity of the latter is believed to offer better feeding characteristics, which in turn improves the soundness of the casting and thus leads to superior structural quality and mechanical properties. An overall industrial assessment favours the standard Al7Si0.3 Mg alloy in the manufacture of light alloy wheels
