Group influence on blogs design behaviour
Issues of national culture influence on web design behaviour have been rampant and stimulating on static web pages across the globe. The emergence of a new breed of publication-type web page brought about by the advancement of web technology however, saw a different species of online communication groups. Bloggers as these groups are called; used blogs as their communication and publication tool to distinguish themselves from other websites and online social media users. Since bloggers are groups that are recognised and credited to cultivate their own culture, the idea that national culture has an influence on blogs design behaviour and preferences may have been weakened. Bloggers groups themselves would be the influential factor that determines design preferences of bloggers in a network of blogs. To address the issue, this paper has conducted an assessment on blogs from six countries using content analysis method, national culture traits and SIDE model to ascertain design features characteristics and behaviour. Results from both the global and local blogs in each country showed that blogs design preferences in one country differ between both the global and local bloggers. Furthermore, global bloggers design preferences in countries under observation are found to be similar to one another

Culture or social interaction? A study of influential factors on weblog design
The importance of blogs and social networking as medium of interactions had gain substantial popularity in mainstream media. Such popularity is due to blogs timely publication, ease of use and wide availability. Blogs hypertext and hyperlinks spread information and influence through an underlying social network. Taking into consideration that past studies on web design have focused on cultural traits on design elements, this paper aims to analyse the patterns on blog design from the perspectives of social influence and interactions. Examining design patterns from five networks of blogs using content analysis method, the results show that design of blogs in an online network shares similar elements and the pattern is different from one network to the other
Waveform Design for 5G and Beyond
5G is envisioned to improve major key performance indicators (KPIs), such as
peak data rate, spectral efficiency, power consumption, complexity, connection
density, latency, and mobility. This chapter aims to provide a complete picture
of the ongoing 5G waveform discussions and overviews the major candidates. It
provides a brief description of the waveform and reveals the 5G use cases and
waveform design requirements. The chapter presents the main features of cyclic
prefix-orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (CP-OFDM) that is deployed in
4G LTE systems. CP-OFDM is the baseline of the 5G waveform discussions since
the performance of a new waveform is usually compared with it. The chapter
examines the essential characteristics of the major waveform candidates along
with the related advantages and disadvantages. It summarizes and compares the

Thermal Quench at Finite t'Hooft Coupling
Using holography we have studied thermal electric field quench for infinite
and finite t'Hooft coupling constant. The set-up we consider here is D7-brane
embedded in ( corrected) AdS-black hole background. It is well-known
that due to a time-dependent electric field on the probe brane, a
time-dependent current will be produced and it will finally relax to its
equilibrium value. We have studied the effect of different parameters of the
system on equilibration time. As the most important results, we have observed a
universal behaviour in the rescaled equilibration time in the very fast quench
regime for different values of the temperature and correction
parameter. It seems that in the slow quench regime the system behaves
adiabatically. We have also observed that the equilibration time decreases in
finite t'Hooft coupling limit.Comment: 6 pages, 9 figure
Probe Branes Thermalization in External Electric and Magnetic Fields
We study thermalization on rotating probe branes in AdS_5 x S^5 background in
the presence of constant external electric and magnetic fields. In the AdS/CFT
framework this corresponds to thermalization in the flavour sector in field
theory. The horizon appears on the worldvolume of the probe brane due to its
rotation in one of the sphere directions. For both electric and magnetic fields
the behaviour of the temperature is independent of the probe brane dimension.
We also study the open string metric and the fluctuations of the probe brane in
such a set-up. We show that the temperatures obtained from open string metric
and observed by the fluctuations are larger than the one calculated from the

The role of structural embeddedness in an IT outsourcing network
The design of governance to safeguard against a vendor's opportunistic behaviour is one of the critical issues in information technology outsourcing (ITO) since this behaviour causes cost escalation and service debasement. The roles of structural embeddedness underlying network governance have been gaining its importance as complementary or substitutable governance in ITO. Our research attempts to reveal how structural embeddedness can affect the decision-makings of clients and vendors and their resulting outcomes in an ITO network and how these effects are moderated by various ITO network structures according to outsourced IT services. An agent-based simulation and game-theoretic approach are adopted to build a simulation model to describe ITO networks with various structures and ITO transactions between clients and vendors.
