    Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb1^{-1} collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for a scalar partner of the X(3872)X(3872), denoted as X(3700)X(3700), via ψ(3770)γηη\psi(3770)\to \gamma\eta\eta' and γπ+πJ/ψ\gamma\pi^{+}\pi^{-}J/\psi processes. No significant signals are observed and the upper limits of the product branching fractions B(ψ(3770)γX(3700))B(X(3700)ηη) {\cal B}(\psi(3770)\to\gamma X(3700))\cdot {\cal B}(X(3700)\to \eta\eta') and B(ψ(3770)γX(3700))B(X(3700)π+πJ/ψ){\cal B}(\psi(3770)\to\gamma X(3700))\cdot {\cal B}(X(3700)\to\pi^{+}\pi^{-}J/\psi) are determined at the 90\% confidence level, for the narrow X(3700)X(3700) with a mass ranging from 3710 to 3740 MeV/c2c^2, which are from 0.8 to 1.8 (×105)(\times 10^{-5}) and 0.9 to 3.4 (×105)(\times 10^{-5}), respectively

    Based on 4.5 fb1^{-1} data taken at seven center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600 to 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we measure the branching fractions of Λc+Σ++hadrons\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow\Sigma^{+}+hadrons relative to Λc+Σ+π+π\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow \Sigma^+ \pi^+ \pi^-. Combining with the world average branching fraction of Λc+Σ+π+π\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow \Sigma^+ \pi^+ \pi^-, their branching fractions are measured to be (0.377±0.042±0.018±0.021)%(0.377\pm0.042\pm0.018\pm0.021)\% for Λc+Σ+K+K\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow\Sigma^{+} K^{+} K^{-}, (0.200±0.023±0.010±0.011)%(0.200\pm0.023\pm0.010\pm0.011)\% for Λc+Σ+K+π\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow\Sigma^{+} K^{+} \pi^{-}, (0.414±0.080±0.029±0.023)%(0.414\pm0.080\pm0.029\pm0.023)\% for Λc+Σ+ϕ\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow\Sigma^{+}\phi and (0.197±0.036±0.008±0.011)%(0.197\pm0.036\pm0.008\pm0.011)\% for Λc+Σ+K+K\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow\Sigma^{+}K^{+} K^{-}(non-ϕ\phi). In all the above results, the first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic and the third are from external input of the branching fraction of Λc+Σ+π+π\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow \Sigma^+ \pi^+ \pi^-. Since no signal for Λc+Σ+K+ππ0\Lambda_{c}^{+}\rightarrow\Sigma^{+} K^{+} \pi^{-}\pi^{0} is observed, the upper limit of its branching fraction is determined to be 0.11\% at the 90%\% confidence level

    Using e+ee^+e^- collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 12.9 fb1fb^{-1} collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the exclusive Born cross sections and the effective form factors of the reaction e+eΞΞˉ+e^+e^-\rightarrow\Xi^{-}\bar\Xi^{+} are measured via the single baryon-tag method at 23 center-of-mass energies between 3.510 and 4.843 GeV. Evidence for the decay ψ(3770)ΞΞˉ+\psi(3770)\rightarrow\Xi^{-}\bar\Xi^{+} is observed with a significance of 4.5σ\sigma by analyzing the measured cross sections together with earlier BESIII results. For the other charmonium(-like) states ψ(4040)\psi(4040), ψ(4160)\psi(4160), Y(4230)Y(4230), Y(4360)Y(4360), ψ(4415)\psi(4415), and Y(4660)Y(4660), no significant signal of their decay to ΞΞˉ+\Xi^-\bar \Xi^+ is found. For these states, upper limits of the products of the branching fraction and the electronic partial width at the 90% confidence level are provided.Comment: 18 pages, 10 pages, 4 table

    Using 2.93 fb1\rm{fb}^{-1} of e+ee^+e^- collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energy 3.773\,GeV, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the decay D+KS0π+π0π0D^+\to K_S^0\pi^+\pi^0\pi^0 and determine the relative magnitudes and phases of different intermediate processes. The absolute branching fraction of D+KS0π+π0π0D^+\to K_S^0\pi^+\pi^0\pi^0 is measured to be (2.888±0.058stat.±0.069syst.)%(2.888\pm0.058_{\rm stat.}\pm0.069_{\rm syst.})\%. The dominant intermediate processes are D+KS0a1(1260)+(ρ+π0)D^+\to K_S^0a_1(1260)^+(\to \rho^+\pi^0) and D+Kˉ0ρ+D^+\to \bar{K}^{*0}\rho^+, with branching fractions of (8.66±1.04stat.±1.39syst.) ⁣× ⁣103(8.66\pm1.04_{\rm stat.}\pm1.39_{\rm syst.})\!\times \!10^{-3} and (9.70±0.81stat.±0.53syst.) ⁣× ⁣103(9.70\pm0.81_{\rm stat.}\pm0.53_{\rm syst.})\!\times \!10^{-3}, respectively

    Full text link
    We perform a study of the X(3872)X(3872) lineshape using the data samples of e+eγX(3872)e^+e^-\to\gamma X(3872), X(3872)D0Dˉ0π0X(3872)\to D^0\bar{D}^0 \pi^0 and π+πJ/ψ\pi^+\pi^- J/\psi collected with the BESIII detector. The effects of the coupled-channels and the off-shell D0D^{*0} are included in the parameterization of the lineshape. The lineshape mass parameter is obtained to be MX=(3871.63±0.130.05+0.06)M_{X}=(3871.63\pm 0.13^{+0.06}_{-0.05}) MeV. Two poles are found on the first and second Riemann sheets corresponding to the D0Dˉ0D^{*0}\bar{D}^0 branch cut. The pole location on the first sheet is much closer to the D0Dˉ0D^{*0}\bar{D}^0 threshold than the other, and is determined to be 7.04±0.150.08+0.077.04\pm0.15^{+0.07}_{-0.08} MeV above the D0Dˉ0π0D^0\bar{D}^0\pi^0 threshold with an imaginary part 0.19±0.080.19+0.14-0.19\pm0.08^{+0.14}_{-0.19} MeV

    Studies of the decay \boldmath Ds+K+Kμ+νμD^+_s\to K^+K^- \mu^+ \nu_{\mu}

    Full text link
    The Ds+K+Kμ+νμD^+_s\to K^+K^-\mu^+\nu_\mu decay is studied based on 7.33 fb1^{-1} of e+ee^+e^- collision data collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies in the range from 4.128 to 4.226 GeV. The absolute branching fraction is measured as B(Ds+ϕμ+νμ)=(2.25±0.09±0.07)×102{\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to \phi \mu^+\nu_\mu) = (2.25\pm 0.09 \pm 0.07) \times10^{-2}, the most precise measurement to date. Combining with the world average of B(Ds+ϕe+νe){\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to \phi e^+\nu_e), the ratio of the branching fractions obtained isB(Ds+ϕμ+νμ)B(Ds+ϕe+νe)=0.94±0.08\frac{{\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to \phi \mu^+\nu_\mu)}{{\mathcal B}(D^+_s\to \phi e^+\nu_e)} = 0.94\pm0.08, in agreement with lepton universality. By performing a partial wave analysis, the hadronic form factor ratios at q2=0q^{2}=0 are extracted, finding rV=V(0)A1(0)=1.58±0.17±0.02r_{V}=\frac{V(0)}{A_{1}(0)}=1.58\pm0.17\pm0.02 and r2=A2(0)A1(0)=0.71±0.14±0.02r_{2}=\frac{A_{2}(0)}{A_{1}(0)}=0.71\pm0.14\pm0.02, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. No significant SS-wave contribution from f0(980)K+Kf_0(980)\to K^+K^- is found. The upper limit B(Ds+f0(980)μ+νμ)B(f0(980)K+K)<5.45×104\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to f_0(980)\mu^{+}{\nu}_{\mu}) \cdot{\mathcal B}(f_0(980)\to K^+K^-) < 5.45 \times 10^{-4} is set at 90\% confidence level.Comment: 27 pages, 4 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:2306.0519

    Measurement of e+eϕηe^{+}e^{-}\to\phi\eta' cross sections at center-of-mass energies from 3.508 to 4.951 GeV and search for the decay ψ(3770)ϕη\psi(3770)\to\phi\eta'

    Full text link
    The cross sections of the e+eϕηe^{+}e^{-}\to\phi\eta' process at center-of-mass energies from 3.508 to 4.951 GeV are measured with high precision using 26.1 fb1^{-1} data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The cross sections are of the order of a few picobarn, and decrease as the center-of-mass energy increases as sn/2s^{-n/2} with n=4.35±0.14n=4.35\pm 0.14. This result is in agreement with the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model prediction of n=3.5±0.9n=3.5\pm 0.9. In addition, the charmless decay ψ(3770)ϕη\psi(3770)\to\phi\eta' is searched for by fitting the measured cross sections, yet no significant signal is observed. The upper limit of B(ψ(3770)ϕη){\cal B}(\psi(3770)\to\phi\eta') at the 90\% confidence level is determined to be 2.3×1052.3\times 10^{-5}

    The first observation of the decays J ⁣/ ⁣ψpˉΣ+KS0J\!/\!\psi \rightarrow \bar{p} \Sigma^{+} K_{S}^{0} and J ⁣/ ⁣ψpΣˉKS0J\!/\!\psi \rightarrow p \bar{\Sigma}^{-} K_{S}^{0} is reported using (10087±44)×106(10087\pm44)\times10^{6} J ⁣/ ⁣ψJ\!/\!\psi events recorded by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. The branching fractions of each channel are determined to be B(J ⁣/ ⁣ψpˉΣ+KS0)=(1.361±0.006±0.025)×104\mathcal{B}(J\!/\!\psi \rightarrow \bar{p} \Sigma^{+} K_{S}^{0})=(1.361 \pm 0.006 \pm 0.025) \times 10^{-4} and B(J ⁣/ ⁣ψpΣˉKS0)=(1.352±0.006±0.025)×104\mathcal{B}(J\!/\!\psi \rightarrow p \bar{\Sigma}^{-} K_{S}^{0})=(1.352 \pm 0.006 \pm 0.025) \times 10^{-4}. The combined result is B(J ⁣/ ⁣ψpˉΣ+KS0+c.c.)=(2.725±0.009±0.050)×104\mathcal{B}(J\!/\!\psi \rightarrow \bar{p} \Sigma^{+} K_{S}^{0} +c.c.)=(2.725 \pm 0.009 \pm 0.050) \times 10^{-4}, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The results presented are in good agreement with the branching fractions of the isospin partner decay J ⁣/ ⁣ψpKΣˉ0+c.c.J\!/\!\psi \rightarrow p K^- \bar\Sigma^0 + c.c.

    Based on 22.7 fb1^{-1} of e+ee^+e^- annihilation data collected at 33 different center-of-mass energies between 3.7730 GeV and 4.7008 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, Born cross sections of the two processes e+eϕK+Ke^+e^-\to \phi K^+ K^- and e+eϕKS0KS0e^+ e^- \to \phi K_{S}^{0} K_{S}^{0} are measured for the first time. No indication of resonant production through an intermediate vector state VV is observed, and the upper limits on the product of the electronic width Γe+e\Gamma_{e^+e^-} and the branching fraction Br(VϕKKˉ)Br(V\rightarrow \phi K \bar{K}) of the processes e+eVϕK+Ke^+e^- \to V \to \phi K^+ K^- and e+eVϕKS0KS0e^+e^- \to V \to \phi K_S^0K_S^0 at the 90%90\% confidence level are obtained for a large parameter space in resonance masses and widths. For the current world average mass and width of the ψ(4230)\psi(4230) of m=4.2187m=4.2187 GeV/c2/c^2 and Γ=44\Gamma=44 MeV, we set upper limits on the ϕK+K\phi K^+ K^- and ϕKS0KS0\phi K_S^0K_S^0 final states of 1.75 eV and 0.47 eV at the 90%90\% confidence level, respectively

    Measurement of the Energy-Dependent Electromagnetic Form Factors of a Charmed Baryon

    We study the process e+eΛc+Λˉce^{+}e^{-}\to\Lambda_{c}^{+}\bar{\Lambda}_c^{-} at twelve center-of-mass energies from 4.61194.6119 to 4.9509 GeV4.9509~\mathrm{GeV} using data samples collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross sections and effective form factors (Geff|G_{\mathrm{eff}}|) are determined with unprecedented precision after combining the single and double-tag methods based on the decay process Λc+pKπ+\Lambda_{c}^{+}\to pK^{-}\pi^{+}. Flat cross sections around 4.63 GeV4.63~\mathrm{GeV} are obtained and no indication of the resonant structure Y(4630)Y(4630), as reported by Belle, is found. In addition, no oscillatory behavior is discerned in the Geff|G_{\mathrm{eff}}| energy-dependence of Λc+\Lambda_{c}^{+}, in contrast to what is seen for the proton and neutron cases. Analyzing the cross section together with the polar-angle distribution of the Λc+\Lambda_{c}^{+} baryon at each energy point, the moduli of electric and magnetic form factors (GE|G_{E}| and GM|G_{M}|) are extracted and separated. For the first time, the energy-dependence of the form factor ratio GE/GM|G_{E}/G_{M}| is observed, which can be well described by an oscillatory function.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure
