Rigorous proof of Luttinger liquid behavior in the 1d Hubbard model
We give the first rigorous (non perturbative) proof of Luttinger liquid
behavior in the one dimensional Hubbard model, for small repulsive interaction
and values of the density different from half filling. The analysis is based on
the combination of multiscale analysis with Ward identities bases on a hidden
and approximate local chiral gauge invariance. No use is done of exact
solutions or special integrability properties of the Hubbard model, and the
results can be in fact easily generalized to include non local interactions,
magnetic fields or interaction with external potential

Gloquídio de Diplodon martensi (lhering) (Mollusca, Bivalvia, Hyriidae) e seu ciclo parasitário The glochidium of Diplodon martensi (lhering) (Mollusca, Bivalvia, Hyriidae) and its parasitic cycle
Conchological and anatomical studies of the glochidium of Diplodon martensi (lhering, 1893) were performed on samples collected in a small river, tributary from the Caí River, that belong to the Jacuí River sub-basin in south-eastern Brazil. The parasitic development of the glochidium was observed in laboratory on a small cichlid fish Gymnogeophagus gymnogenys (Hensel, 1870)

Segundo registro de Sterrastrolepis brasiliensis Volkmer-Ribeiro & De Rosa-Barbosa (Demospongiae, Potamolepidae) com descrição do habitat e de assembléia, Bacia do Rio Paraná, Brasil Second register of Sterrastrolepis brasiliensis Volkmer-Ribeiro & De Rosa-Barbosa (Demospongiae, Potamolepidae) with description of the habitat and of assembly, Paraná Basin, Brazil
Gêmulas de O. navicella são tambem ilustradas ao MEV.<br>The recent discovery of Sterrastrolepis brasiliensis Volkmer-Ribeiro & De Rosa-Barbosa, 1978, a brazilian endangered freshwater sponge, at the rocky bottom of River Piquiri, Paraná Basin, Brazil, enhanced the photographing of living specimens, the improving of SEM illustration and description for some characteristics, the description of the habitat and the register of an sponge assembly composed by S. brasiliensis, Oncosclera navicella (Carter, l881) and Oncosclera tonolli (Bonetto & Ezcurra de Drago, 1968). Oncosclera tonolli has its first register for Brazilian waters and for the Parana Basin. Gemmules of O. navicella are also SEM illustrated

Gametogênese e dinâmica da reprodução de Anodontites trapesialis (Lamarck) (Unionoida, Mycetopodidae) no lago Baía do Poço, planície de inundação do rio Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, Brasil Gametogenesis and dynamics of the reproduction of Anodontites trapesialis (Lamarck) (Unionoida, Mycetopodidae) from Baia do Poço Lake at the Cuiabá River wetland, Mato Grosso, Brazil
Durante o período de liberação dos gametas, a maioria dos folículos apresentou agregados de espematozóides formando esferas espermáticas as "spermballs", as quais caracterizam a espécie como espermatozeugmata.<br>The reproductive cycle of Anodontites trapesialiswas studied from May 1998 to April 1999. Quantitative analysis of the sexual cycle revealed that the species is exclusively hermaphrodite with separate male and female follicles. Gametogenesis is continuous with peaks of maturation and elimination of gametes during dry season. The period of maximum maturation of the oogenesis was in April and May, when mature oocytes were observed filling the follicles and gonoducts. Spermatogenesis was recognized by a proliferation phase with developing cells with period of maturation since April to July. These cells started to differentiate giving origin to spermatic morulae and free spermatozoa organizing the radial spermatic series. During the period of discharge of the gamets, the majority of follicles presented aggregates of spermatozoa forming the spermballs, which characterize the species as spermatozeugmata
