Regional characteristics of infant mortality in the Middle Urals

There is presented the analysis of the mortality of children aged up to one year in Sverdlovsk region from 2008 to 2013. The dynamics of infantile mortality indicators in Sverdlovsk region is given taking into account various reasons and in comparison with similar indicators in the Russian Federation. The increase of specific load of infectious diseases is shown in the structure of infantile mortality due to viral infections. The negative tendency of the increase in infant death cases at home due to infectious causes is marked in combination with unfavourable social factors. Infectious diseases composed 25,0% in the structure of child mortality at home among children aged up to one year. In 2013 unidentified infections (41,4%), Herpes virus infection (20,7%), intestinal viral infections (3,4%), and cytomegalovirus infections (3,4%) had the highest numbers

Age-specific features of varicella in children

The study presents the results of the analysis of clinical course and indicators of immune reactivity among 114 children at the age of 4 months to 13 years with varicella. There is shown a dependence of clinical symptoms on age: the older the child, the more severe the infectious illness and the higher the risk of complications. The study reveals age-specific differences in phagocytic and cell-mediated im-munity, including cytokinsynthesizing CD3-lymphocytes. Minimal differences of indicators of the immune status from age-specific norms were registered in infants, maximal differences were in children of preschool and school age. The obtained data confirms the necessity of vaccination against varicella at an early age.В работе приведены результаты анализа клиники и показателей иммунной реактивности у 114 детей грудного, раннего и дошкольно-школьного возраста при ветряной оспе. Показана зависимость клинических проявлений от возраста: чем старше ребенок, тем выше тяжесть инфекционного заболевания и риск осложнений. Выявлены возрастные отличия в фагоцитарном и клеточном звене, включая цитокинсодержащие СDЗ-лимфоциты. Наименьшие отличия показателей иммунного статуса от возрастных норм были у детей грудного возраста, наибольшие - у детей дошкольно-школьного возраста. Полученные данные подтверждают тезис о том, что вакцинацию против ветряной оспы необходимо проводить в раннем возрасте

Specific features of immune status in children with asthma depending on the level of control of the course of the disease are determined. Improvement of clinical control of asthma was accompanied in the immunological aspect by switching reactions of the immune system of Th type 2 to Th type 1.Определены особенности иммунного статуса у детей с БА в зависимости от уровня контроля течения заболевания.
