The difficult way in diagnostics of neurological manifestations of Sjogren's disease. Case report
Sjogren's disease is an immunoinflammatory rheumatic disease that is characterized by damage to the secreting epithelial glands with the development of parenchymal sialadenitis with xerostomia and keratoconjunctivitis sicca with hypolacrymia. Due to the high heterogeneity of clinical manifestations of this disease, diagnosis is difficult. This article presents a clinical case of a patient with a detailed description of the manifestation, course, and treatment of Sjogren's disease with a rare combination of extraglandular complications in the form of polymyositis and secondary polyneuropathy
Ультразвуковая диагностика рака языка. Определение глубины инвазии опухоли
В статье приведен анализ результатов ультразвукового исследования 26 пациентов с опухолью языка, получавших хирургическое и комбинированное лечение. Сравнение результатов ультразвукового исследования в определении глубины инвазии и расположения опухоли относительно средней линии языка с данными гистологического исследования. Наибольшее увеличение медианы общей выживаемости достигается у пациентов с хорошим функциональным статусом, ограниченным метастатическим поражением головного мозга и метастазами радиочувствительных опухолей
CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES IN THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH T3N0–2M0 LARYNGEAL FOLD CANCER
The paper gives the results of surgical, combined, and chemoradiation treatments in 102 patients with laryngeal fold cancer of the extent corresponding to T3N0–2M0, who have been treated at the Department for Surgery of Upper Respiratory and Digestive Tracts, N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. It discusses the influence of different prognostic factors on survival, as well as recommendations to determine the most optimal treatment policy in this category of patients
