The first flow injection spectrophotometric method is characterized by its speed and sensitivity which have been developed for the determination of promethazine-HCl in pure and pharmaceutical preparation. It is based on the in situ detection of colored cationic radicals formed via oxidation of the drug with sodium persulphate to pinkish-red species and the same species was determined by using homemade Ayah 3SX3-3D solar flow injection photometer. Optimum conditions were obtained by using the high intensive green light emitted diode as a source. Linear dynamic range for the absorbance versus promethazine-HCl concentration was 0-7 mmol.L-1, with the correlation coefficient (r) was 0.9904 while the percentage linearity (r2%) was 98.09%. the L.O.Q was 3.97 µg/sample, while L.O.D (S/N=3) = 0.2407µg/sample (5 µmol.L-1) from the stepwise dilution for the minimum concentration of lowest concentration in the linear dynamic range of the calibration graph. The R.S.D% at 2 mmol.L-1 promethazine-HCl is less than 1% (eight replicates) using 150 µL sample volume. Throughput 30 sample.hr-1. The method was applied successfully for the determination of promethazine-HCl in pharmaceutical preparation. By using paired t-test it was shown that there was no significant difference between the proposed method and official method and on that basis the new method can be accepted as an alternative analytical method

Hydrogen Bonds Effects on the Electrical Properties of Pectin/Pva Graphene Nanocomposites

Electrical properties were studied for Pectin/PVA graphene composites films and the effect of aqueous interaction on their properties. The conductivity and the dielectric constant of this composite are important because Polysaccharide like pectin is increasingly being used in biomedical applications and as nanoparticles coating materials. The Dielectric and conductivity of composite films were compared in dry and wet condition the differences in the results were attributed to the water molecules and the hydrogen bond which connect the three composite compounds (Pectin, PVA and Graphene) together. These connections were allowed the hydrogen and hydroxyl group’s migrations in the composite super molecules. On the other hand, graphene was prepared and with different techniques like Ft-IR, XRD, SEM and AFM characterized. Les tumeurs malignes primitives de l'intestin grêle: aspects cliniques et thérapeutiques de 27 patients

    Get PDF
Key words: Intestin grêle, tumeur maligne, diagnostic, chirurgie, chimiothérapie, survie, Maro

Large Negative Poisson\u27s Ratio and Anisotropic Mechanics in New Penta-PBN Monolayer

    Get PDF
The scarce negative Poisson\u27s ratio (NPR) in a two-dimensional (2D) material is an exceptional auxetic property that offers an opportunity to develop nanoscale futuristic multi-functional devices and has been drawing extensive research interest. Inspired by the buckled pentagonal iso-structures that often expose NPR, we employ state-of-the-art first-principles density functional theory calculations and analyses to predict a new 2D metallic ternary auxetic penta-phosphorus boron nitride (p-PBN) with a high value of NPR. The new p-PBN is stable structurally, mechanically, and dynamically and sustainable at room temperature, with experimental feasibility. The short and strong quasi sp3-hybridized B-N bond and unique bond variation and geometrical reconstruction with an applied strain allow p-PBN to inherit a high value of NPR (-0.236) along the (010) direction, the highest among any other ternary penta iso-structures reported to date. Despite having a small elastic strength, the highly asymmetric Young\u27s modulus and Poisson\u27s ratio along the (100) and (010) directions indicate large anisotropic mechanics, which are crucial for potential applications in nanomechanics and nanoauxetics

Hernie obturatrice étranglée: à propos de deux cas

    Get PDF

Audit on Environmental Sustainability of Accounting Activities and Its Impact on Maximizing the Value of the Enterprise as a Framework Proposed by the Auditors

    Get PDF
The main objective of this study is to clarify the relation between the review of environmental sustainability accounting for Palestinian enterprises and the value of these establishments in general, and then determine the responsibility of the external auditor for the audit of environmental sustainability accounting activities and clarify its role in environmental community conservation. The questionnaire was used as a tool to be distributed in a comprehensive survey to 150 auditors of the accounting and auditing profession according to the disclosure of an annex from the Palestinian Accountants and Auditors Association. 120 responses were recovered with 80% recovery rate. The researchers found a positive correlation between the "audit on environmental sustainability accounting activities and the value of the enterprise" and in the same direction, it is clear that any change in the audit of environmental sustainability accounting activities is followed by a change in the value of the enterprise and in the same direction, and that any change in the proposed framework for the audit of environmental sustainability accounting activities is followed by a change in the value of the enterprise and in the same direction. The researchers recommended the issuance of legislation and criteria for the adoption of the audit on activities of environmental sustainability accounting and the adoption of the framework proposed by the higher authorities and recommend the application of them at the level of Palestinian enterprises, and the need to adopt them as part of the curriculum approved by university colleges. Synthesis and Characterizations of Bare CdS Nanocrystals Using Chemical Precipitation Method for Photoluminescence Application

    Get PDF
Bare cadmium sulfide (CdS) nanocrystals were successfully synthesized by the thermolysis of a single-source organometallic precursor, cadmium chloride hemipentahydrate (CdCl2⋅2.5H2O) with thiourea in ethanol. The microstructure of the CdS samples was characterized using XRD, TEM, and Raman spectroscopy. The XRD's results showed that there was a transformation from cubic to hexagonal crystalline phase when higher mass of CdCl2⋅2.5H2O was used. Further experimental with different Cd2+ source showed ion Cl− originated from CdCl2⋅2.5H2O attributed to this crystalline phase transformation. The UV-Visible analysis indicated that quantum confinement effect took place when compared to the bulk CdS. However, the photoluminescence experiments revealed that the red-light emission was observed in all samples. This finding could be ascribed to deep trap defects that were due to sulfur vacancies as suggested by XPS and also the fact that the bare CdS nanoparticles are in contact with each other as shown in the TEM images

<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>Adrenergic gene polymorphisms are associated with cardiovascular and metabolic phenotypes. We investigated the influence of adrenergic gene polymorphisms on cardiovascular risk in women with suspected myocardial ischemia.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>We genotyped 628 women referred for coronary angiography for eight polymorphisms in the α1A-, β1-, β2- and β3-adrenergic receptors (<it>ADRA1A</it>, <it>ADRB1, ADRB2</it>, <it>ADRB3</it>, respectively), and their signaling proteins, G-protein β 3 subunit (<it>GNB3</it>) and G-protein α subunit (<it>GNAS</it>). We compared the incidence of death, myocardial infarction, stroke, or heart failure between genotype groups in all women and women without obstructive coronary stenoses.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>After a median of 5.8 years of follow-up, 115 women had an event. Patients with the <it>ADRB1 </it>Gly389 polymorphism were at higher risk for the composite outcome due to higher rates of myocardial infarction (adjusted hazard ratio [HR] 3.63, 95% confidence interval [95%CI] 1.17–11.28; Gly/Gly vs. Arg/Arg HR 4.14, 95%CI 0.88–19.6). The risk associated with <it>ADRB1 </it>Gly389 was limited to those without obstructive CAD (n = 400, Pinteraction = 0.03), albeit marginally significant in this subset (HR 1.71, 95%CI 0.91–3.19). Additionally, women without obstructive CAD carrying the <it>ADRB3 </it>Arg64 variant were at higher risk for the composite endpoint (HR 2.10, 95%CI 1.05–4.24) due to subtle increases in risk for all of the individual endpoints. No genetic associations were present in women with obstructive CAD.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>In this exploratory analysis, common coding polymorphisms in the β1- and β3-adrenergic receptors increased cardiovascular risk in women referred for diagnostic angiography, and could improve risk assessment, particularly for women without evidence of obstructive CAD.</p> <p>Trial Registration</p> <p>ClinicalTrials.gov NCT00000554.</p
