The effect of temperature and added electrolyte for the sorption of nonionic surfactant on activated carbon

    No full text
In this study batch sorption experiments with granular activated carbon AquaSorb HS were carried out for removing dissolved oxyethylated alcohols Lutensol AO-10 from one component solutions and from solutions with copper chloride dihydrate. The sorption of nonionic surfactant has been found being more effective at higher solution temperatures. The reduced retention of Lutensol AO-10 has also been observed in the presence of CuCl2 in the solution because of the coirmetitive sorption of Cu(II) ionsChemijos institutasVytauto Didžiojo universitetasŠvietimo akademij
