Electro-Magnetic Waves within a Model for Charged Solitons
We analyze the model of topological fermions (MTF), where charged fermions
are treated as soliton solutions of the field equations. In the region far from
the sources we find plane waves solutions with the properties of

On the evaluation of the evolution operator Z_Reg(R_2,R_1) in the Diakonov-Petrov approach to the Wilson loop
We evaluate the evolution operator Z_Reg(R_2,R_1) introduced by Diakonov and
Petrov for the definition of the Wilson loop in terms of a path integral over
gauge degrees of freedom. We use the procedure suggested by Diakonov and Petrov

HardIDX: Practical and Secure Index with SGX
Software-based approaches for search over encrypted data are still either
challenged by lack of proper, low-leakage encryption or slow performance.
Existing hardware-based approaches do not scale well due to hardware
limitations and software designs that are not specifically tailored to the
hardware architecture, and are rarely well analyzed for their security (e.g.,
the impact of side channels). Additionally, existing hardware-based solutions
often have a large code footprint in the trusted environment susceptible to
software compromises. In this paper we present HardIDX: a hardware-based
approach, leveraging Intel's SGX, for search over encrypted data. It implements
only the security critical core, i.e., the search functionality, in the trusted
environment and resorts to untrusted software for the remainder. HardIDX is
deployable as a highly performant encrypted database index: it is logarithmic
in the size of the index and searches are performed within a few milliseconds
rather than seconds. We formally model and prove the security of our scheme
showing that its leakage is equivalent to the best known searchable encryption
schemes. Our implementation has a very small code and memory footprint yet
still scales to virtually unlimited search index sizes, i.e., size is limited
only by the general - non-secure - hardware resources
Radius Dependent Luminosity Evolution of Blue Galaxies in GOODS-N
We examine the radius-luminosity (R-L) relation for blue galaxies in the Team
Keck Redshift Survey (TKRS) of GOODS-N. We compare with a volume-limited, Sloan
Digital Sky Survey sample and find that the R-L relation has evolved to lower
surface brightness since z=1. Based on the detection limits of GOODS this can
not be explained by incompleteness in low surface-brightness galaxies. Number
density arguments rule out a pure radius evolution. It can be explained by a
radius dependent decline in B-band luminosity with time. Assuming a linear
shift in M_B with z, we use a maximum likelihood method to quantify the
evolution. Under these assumptions, large (R_{1/2} > 5 kpc), and intermediate
sized (3 < R_{1/2} < 5 kpc) galaxies, have experienced Delta M_B =1.53
(-0.10,+0.13) and 1.65 (-0.18, +0.08) magnitudes of dimming since z=1. A simple
exponential decline in star formation with an e-folding time of 3 Gyr can
result in this amount of dimming. Meanwhile, small galaxies, or some subset
thereof, have experienced more evolution, 2.55 (+/- 0.38) magnitudes. This
factor of ten decline in luminosity can be explained by sub-samples of
starbursting dwarf systems that fade rapidly, coupled with a decline in burst
strength or frequency. Samples of bursting, luminous, blue, compact galaxies at
intermediate redshifts have been identified by various previous studies. If
there has been some growth in galaxy size with time, these measurements are

Abelian representation for nonabelian Wilson loops and the Non - Abelian Stokes theorem on the lattice
We derive the Abelian - like expression for the lattice SU(N) Wilson loop in
arbitrary irreducible representation. The continuum Abelian representation of
the SU(N) Wilson loop (for the loop without selfintersections) that has been
obtained by Diakonov and Petrov appears to be a continuum limit of this
expression. We also obtain the lattice variant of a non - Abelian Stokes
theorem and present the explicit expression for the matrix used in the

Expressive Stream Reasoning with Laser
An increasing number of use cases require a timely extraction of non-trivial
knowledge from semantically annotated data streams, especially on the Web and
for the Internet of Things (IoT). Often, this extraction requires expressive
reasoning, which is challenging to compute on large streams. We propose Laser,
a new reasoner that supports a pragmatic, non-trivial fragment of the logic
LARS which extends Answer Set Programming (ASP) for streams. At its core, Laser
implements a novel evaluation procedure which annotates formulae to avoid the
re-computation of duplicates at multiple time points. This procedure, combined
with a judicious implementation of the LARS operators, is responsible for
significantly better runtimes than the ones of other state-of-the-art systems
like C-SPARQL and CQELS, or an implementation of LARS which runs on the ASP
solver Clingo. This enables the application of expressive logic-based reasoning
to large streams and opens the door to a wider range of stream reasoning use

A julid milliped in Chilean Patagonia, and a compilation of ordinal representatives in South America and associated islands (Diplopoda: Julida)
An adventive female Julidae (Julida), discovered in a moist, grassy depression in the Peninsula de Brunswick south of Punta Arenas, Chile, and assigned to Cylindroiulus Verhoeff, 1894, is the fi rst vouchered milliped from southern Patagonia. The southernmost milliped ever collected in Chile, South America, and the Western Hemisphere, it may also constitute the southernmost in the world as the site is only ~1,176 km (735 mi) northwest of the Antarctic Peninsula. Records are consolidated of the two families, three genera, and fi ve species of this Holarctic order that are known from South America. They are documented from Argentina, Chile, and southern Peru and Brazil; three species are known from the Juan Fernandez Islands
