    Can the "standard" unitarized Regge models describe the TOTEM data?

    The standard Regge poles are considered as inputs for two unitarization methods: eikonal and U-matrix. It is shown that only models with three input pomerons and two input odderons can describe the high energy data on pppp and pˉp\bar pp elastic scattering including the new data from Tevatron and LHC. However, it seems that the both considered models (eikonal and U-matrix) require a further modification (e.g., to explore nonlinear reggeon trajectories and/or nonexponential vertex functions) for a more satisfactory description of the data at 19.0 GeV≤s≤\leq \sqrt{s}\leq 7 TeV and 0.01 ≤∣t∣≤\leq |t|\leq 14.2 GeV2^{2}.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figures, typos are corrected, minor corrections in the text, No changes in results and conclusion.     Elastic Meson-Nucleon and Nucleon-Nucleon Scattering: Models vs. All Available Data

    We consider simple-pole descriptions of soft elastic scattering at small tt and ss, and allow for the presence of a hard pomeron. We have built and analyzed an exhaustive dataset and we show that simple poles provide an excellent description of the data in the region −0.5- 0.5 GeV2<t<^2 < t < −0.1- 0.1 GeV2^2, 6 GeV<s<<\sqrt{s}<63 GeV.     Chiral color symmetry and possible G′G'-boson effects at the Tevatron and LHC

    A gauge model with chiral color symmetry is considered and possible effects of the color G′G'-boson octet predicted by this symmetry are investigated in dependence on two free parameters, the mixing angle θG\theta_G and G′G' mass mG′m_{G'}. The allowed region in the mG′−θGm_{G'} - \theta_G plane is found from the Tevatron data on the cross section σttˉ\sigma_{t\bar{t}} and forward-backward asymmetry AFBppˉA_{\rm FB}^{p \bar p} of the ttˉt\bar{t} production. The mass limits for the G′G'-boson are shown to be stronger than those for the axigluon. A possible effect of the G′G'-boson on the ttˉt\bar{t} production at the LHC is discussed and the mass limits providing for the G′G'-boson evidence at the LHC are estimated in dependence on θG\theta_G.Comment: 11 pages, 2 figures, accepted for publication in Modern Physics Letters
