The urgency of preparing students for innovative activities is connected with the increasing requirements of the modern economy for the specialists’ competencies. The paper presents a methodology for the integrated continuous training of the students of technical universities to innovative activity. The methodological basis of the study is backed with the systemic, competence-based and resource-based approaches. The methodology presents the system of competencies of innovation activities including five levels and four components at each level. The training is carried out within the three stages: the guidance stage, the formative stage and prospective stage. For every stage we have determined the objectives, mechanisms, approaches, teaching tools and planned results. The experimental testing of the methods has allowed to identify the main factors of successive teaching. The results of the study may be useful for researchers and practitioners studying the problems of innovative engineering education. DOI: 10.5901/mjss.2015.v6n2s3p3

Energy spectrum and thermodynamics of anisotropic spin-1/2 two-leg ladder

    No full text
We studied the energy spectrum and some finite temperature properties of two-leg spin-1/2 ladder with XXZ interactions in legs and rungs. It is shown that for a strong ferromagnetic interchain interaction, there is a first-order transition between ferromagnetic and nonmagnetic phases. The anisotropic ladder in the magnetic field may have up to four low-temperature maxima in the temperature dependence of specific heat. (c) 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc

Spectral approach in the analysis of pulsed terahertz radiation

    No full text
We derive the spectral analogues of the Maxwell equations for describing the propagation of electromagnetic waves in linear and weakly nonlinear dielectric media, which can be useful for the THz spectroscopy of short pulses. We discuss the solutions of those equations for TM and TE polarized nonlinear waves. We obtain analytical solutions of these equations for the case of linear homogeneous isotropic and weakly nonlinear media, and also analyze the patterns of the Fresnel and Fraunhofer diffraction of single-cycle Gaussian THz pulses

Effect of doping on the ground-state spin of stacked organometallic ferromagnets

The effective Hamiltonians that describe the low-lying energy states of some stacked organometallic ferromagnets with dopants have been derived. It is shown that the lattice stack with N unit cells and p conduction electrons has the ground-state spin S-0 = (N + p)/2 at p < N and S-0 less than or equal to (3N - p)/2 at N less than or equal to p < 2N. This means that the ferromagnetic ground state of metallocene-based donor-acceptor stack is unstable to the donor doping and is stable to the acceptor doping. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc

AMINO ACIDS IDENTIFICATION IN THE HUMAN SKIN BY SPECTRA APPLICATION OF 0,05-1,2 THZ RANGE

    No full text
Spectra of human skin and tableted preparations of amino acids in 0,05 1,2 THz range are obtained by terahertz spectroscopy method with time resolution. Comparison of the amino acids spectral lines is made for their identification in the skin. It is shown that the following amino acids are the most clearly visible in the skin spectrum: tryptophan, cysteine, alanine, glycine, phenylalanine and histidine. Terahertz spectral lines of the mentioned amino acids are associated with molecules oscillating modes, caused by chemical reactions, hydration processes and molecules conformal changes in the human skin. Determination of amino acids spectral lines and other specific molecules, involved in the metabolic processes of the skin, is necessary for the development of terahertz diagnostic tool with maximum sensitivity and selectivity
