Kekayaan Intelektual Di Universitas: Sebuah Studi Deskriptif

This paper briefly discusses about intellectual capital in university. Intellectual capital is intangible asset that is likely to be more difficult to evaluated because it can not be quantified objectively (non-financial objective).Intellectual capital consist of three dimension: human capital, organization capital, and social capital. Each of this dimension have several indicators that can be used by university in calculating all the intellectual capital. This paper is important to describe all the indicators of intellectual capitalin order to provide value-added outcomes for all parties, either internal and external university. Clear indicator and proper in reporting intellectual capital, university will show the good performance of its human resources

Increased circulating IgG levels, myocardial immune cells and IgG deposits support a role for an immune response in pre- and end-stage heart failure

The chronic inflammatory response plays an important role in adverse cardiac remodelling and the development of heart failure (HF). There is also evidence that in the pathogenesis of several cardiovascular diseases, chronic inflammation is accompanied by antibody and complement deposits in the heart, suggestive of a true autoimmune response. However, the role of antibody-mediated immune responses in HF progression is less clear. We assessed whether immune cell infiltration and immunoglobulin levels are associated with HF type and disease stage, taking sex differences into account. We found IgG deposits and increased infiltration of immune cells in the affected myocardium of patients with end-stage HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF, n = 20). Circulating levels of IgG1 and IgG3 were elevated in these patients. Furthermore, the percentage of transitional/regulatory B cells was decreased (from 6.9% to 2.4%) compared with healthy controls (n = 5). Similarly, increased levels of circulating IgG1 and IgG3 were observed in men with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD, n = 5), possibly an early stage of HF with preserved EF (HFpEF). In conclusion, IgG deposits and infiltrates of immune cells are present in end-stage HFrEF. In addition, both LVDD patients and end-stage HFrEF patients show elevated levels of circulating IgG1 and IgG3, suggesting an antibody-mediated immune response upon cardiac remodelling, which in the early phase of remodelling appear to differ between men and women. These immunoglobulin subclasses might be used as marker for pre-stage HF and its progression. Future identification of auto-antigens might open possibilities for new therapeutic interventions

Family Perception and Knowledge Role in Reducing Patient Delayed Arrival with Acute Coronary Syndrome

Acute coronary syndrome (SKA) is a clinical sign and symptom of myocardial ischemia which is a cardiovascular emergency. However, delayed arrival at ER is a common case. Delayed arrival associated with family knowledge factor and family perception in recognizing the SKA signs and symptoms. This study aims to determine the relationship between families' knowledge and perceptions with SKA patient delayed arrival in IGD Pelayanan Jantung Terpadu RSUP Sanglah Denpasar (Integrated Heart Service Sanglah Hospital Denpasar ER). This research is a quantitative research with cross-sectional design. Data collection technique used purposive sampling with 292 families of patients who deliver SKA patients to Sanglah Hospital ER. The research result exhibit 73,3% of patient's family does not possess SKA knowledge. On the other hand, 62,3% of patient's family perceive SKA symptom as fatigue resulted from daily activity. Patient delayed arrival in ER is related to family members lacking SKA knowledge and family perception that the symptoms experienced by patients is caused by fatigue. Therefore health workers need to provide counseling to families regarding SKA signs and symptoms, healthy lifestyle, and the importance to promptly coming to ER when SKA symptoms emergenc

This study aims to develop guidelines for decubitus ulcers in the ICU at USU Hospital. This type of research is action research in 1 cycle. The instrument used was a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) guide and a nurse's knowledge questionnaire about decubitus ulcers. Participants in this study were 15 nurses who were selected by purposive sampling. The results showed that the percentage value before the formulation of guidelines for the prevention of decubitus ulcers was 66.67% which stated that the level of knowledge was good and 33.33%, which noted that the level of knowledge was sufficient and the level of expertise lacked as much as 0%. After the formulation of the guidelines, the results were 93.4%, where the nurses' level of knowledge was declared good. The level of expertise of nurses that was reported sufficient was 6.6% and the level of expertise of nurses that was insufficient was 0%. In conclusion, with the implementation of decubitus ulcers guidelines, ICU nurses' knowledge of decubitus ulcers prevention has increased. The components of the decubitus ulcers guide consist of the concept of a decubitus ulcers, scope and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Keywords: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Decubitus Ulcer Guide, Nurs

Village Financial Management: Based on Local Tradition

This study aims to formulate village financial management based on local traditions of village communities. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach, which is a method that seeks to present a picture of the objective reality that occurs in a condition or environment in a particular place. Environmental context (Site) in this study is Sindang Pakuon Village, Cimanggung District, Sumedang Regency and Ciburial Village, Cimenyan District, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. Presence of village funds is acknowledged to have changed the face of the village which previously seemed neglected, now looks better. Village infrastructure such as village roads is more convenient for motorists and pedestrians. Road to distribution of agricultural products has been built so that the travel time to move agricultural products from the fields to the market location is Faster. Although village funds have brought changes to public facilities in the countryside, they have a fading effect on aspects of village tradition. Emergence of this fading is because the nomenclature that regulates the use of village funds does not yet accommodate the local aspects of rural areas

Two types of yeast were used for bioethanol production from oil palm trunk sap, the flocculant Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC1195 and nonflocculant Saccharomyces cerevisiae Kyokai 7 (NCYC-479). Flocculant Saccharomyces cerevisiae is yeast that has ability to aggregate into flocks which precipitate rapidly in culture medium. The effect of urea as a nitrogen source was also investigated in this study. Some concentrations of urea were added i.e. 0%, 0.1%, 0.2%, and 0.3% (w/v) during fermentation. The purpose of this study is to obtain the best condition by strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and urea concentration for the highest ethanol production. The highest ethanol production and yield was obtained at 4.86% (v/v) and 0.52 (g/g) respectively, by nonflocculant Saccharomyces cerevisiae Kyokai 7 (NCYC-479) without the addition of urea
