Data from: Interacting Effects of Cell Size and Temperature on Gene Expression, Growth, Development and Swimming Performance in Larval Zebrafish

This dataset contains raw data of DNA content, gene expression levels, growth, development and swimming performance of diploid and triploid larval zebrafish, used for analyses and figures of the Frontiers paper: Interacting effects of cell size and temperature on gene expression, growth, development and swimming performance in larval zebrafish by van de Pol, Hermaniuk and Verberk. In this paper we investigated the effects of cell size on gene expression, growth, development and swimming performance in zebrafish larvae at different temperatures. Details about the experimental procedures can be found in the Materials and Methods section of the paper. We have also included the R scripts for data analyses in this dataset. Study aim: to test the hypothesis that costs and benefits of cell size in ectotherms are temperature dependent. Data: To study the consequences of cell size we measured whole-organism metabolic rate for diploid and triploid zebrafish larvae differing in cell size. A fully factorial design was applied combining three different rearing and test temperatures that allowed us to distinguish acute from acclimated thermal effects. Individual oxygen consumption rates of diploid and triploid larvae across declining levels of oxygen availability were measured

Communication needs of public transport customers in the selected city of Lublin province

Transport zbiorowy w obszarach zurbanizowanych odgrywa w ostatnich latach coraz większą rolę. Wynika to z faktu, iż zwiększająca się ilość pojazdów na ulicach miast powoduje wzrost zanieczyszczenia powietrza oraz zmniejszenie płynności ruchu. W celu zwiększenia satysfakcji klientów transportu zbiorowego z odbywanych podróży prowadzi się liczne modernizacje oraz ulepszenia techniczne i organizacyjne. Bardzo ważna staje się więc znajomość oczekiwań pasażerów, którą uzyskuje się np. poprzez prowadzenie ankietyzacji i wywiadów. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań ankietowych prowadzonych w jednym z miast województwa lubelskiego, których celem było poznanie komunikacyjnych potrzeb klientów transportu zbiorowego.In the last years public transport in urban areas plays a an increasingly important role.
