    Analisis Tingkat Kesejahteraan Nelayan Pancing Ulur (Hand Line) Di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (Ppn) Palabuhanratu Sukabumi Jawa Barat

    Pencanangan Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara (PPN) Palabuhanratu sebagai kawasan industrialisasi perikanan tangkap di Kabupaten Sukabumi adalah hal yang sangat tepat, karena Palabuhanratu mempunyai Sumber Daya Alam (SDA) khususnya perikanan tangkap yang masih cukup melimpah dengan jumlah produksi pada tahun 2013 sebesar 7.972.483 kg. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor tingkat kesejahteraan yang sesuai dengan kondisi nelayan juragan dan ABK Pancing Ulur (Hand Line) dan menganalisis tingkat perbedaan kesejahteraan nelayan juragan dan ABK Pancing Ulur (Hand Line) di PPN Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yang bersifat survei dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dari Nilai Tukar Nelayan (NTN) hasilnya > 1 sehingga dapat dikatakan seluruh responden masuk dalam kriteria sejahtera. Sedangkan berdasarkan indikator kesejahteraan gabungan yang telah dianalisis, nelayan juragan dikatakan hidup sejahtera sedangkan nelayan ABK kurang sejahtera. The purpose of this research was to analyze the factors that correspond to the level of welfare conditions of fishing skipper and crew of War (Hand Line) and analyze the difference in the welfare of fishermen Fishing skipper and crew of War (Hand Line) in Archipelago Fishing Port Palabuhanratu, West Java. The method used is descriptive method that is both surveys using a quantitative approach and sampling with purposive sampling. Results showed that of the Fishery Term Of Trade Index the result is > 1 so that it can be said of all respondents in the criteria prosperous. While based on the combined welfare indicators that have been analyzed, fishing skipper said to live in prosperity while the less prosperous fishing crew

    Macroalgae Analysis A National GIS-based Analysis of Macroalgae Production Potential Summary Report and Project Plan

    The overall project objective is to conduct a strategic analysis to assess the state of macroalgae as a feedstock for biofuels production. The objective in FY11 is to develop a multi-year systematic national assessment to evaluate the U.S. potential for macroalgae production using a GIS-based assessment tool and biophysical growth model developed as part of these activities. The initial model development for both resource assessment and constraints was completed and applied to the demonstration areas. The model for macroalgal growth was extended to the EEZ off the East and West Coasts of the United States, and a plan to merge the findings for an initial composite assessment was developed. In parallel, an assessment of land-based, port, and offshore infrastructure needs based on published and grey literature was conducted. Major information gaps and challenges encountered during this analysis were identified. Also conducted was an analysis of the type of local, state, and federal requirements that pertain to permitting land-based facilities and nearshore/offshore culture operation

    An Application of RapAgRisk (Rapid Agricultural Supply Chain Risk Assessment) Method on Fresh Vegetables for Identifying and Reducing Damage During Delivery to Consumers

    Vegetables have distinctive properties that are easily damaged, so handling and delivery time will be the important factors in the whole supply chain. Identification and mitigation of the damage is very important to prevent damage to vegetables and maintain resale value. This study uses the Rapid Agricultural Supply Chain Risk Assessment (RapAgRisk) based on the risk management standard ISO 31000:2009 to conduct a risk analysis. The field research uses sample of the actors in the supply chain from the farm producer to the point of sale. The research was done by taking convenience sampling through in-depth interviews with the actors of the supply chain. The research location in fresh vegetable production centers in Magelang (Central Java Province), and Sleman (Yogyakarta Province). Research result showed risk factor of the weather, natural condition, biological and environmental, related markets, logistics (infrastructure), and operational management in the supply chain of fresh vegetables. At the level of farmers and collectors, each have four risks while at the merchant level, there are five important risks getting attention for follow up. Mitigation each of these factors lead to the reducing damage and it can be applied to maintain the quality of the vegetables and increase the selling price

    Optimasi Model Persediaan Bahan Baku (Raw Material Inventory Model) pada Industri Kecil Kelompok Pangan Produk Unggulan di Daerah Istimewa YOGYAKARTA

    Problems on raw material inventory in food sector small scale industry have been of classical and yet no solution is achived. Specific characteristics found out, such as seasonal, perishasble, and post harvest losses have a significant influence on set up, distribution and warehousing cost. Consequence price fluctuation was observed. Excessive storage capacity means ineffective capital USAge, contrarily, too low storage capacity can strike productive line lead to customer unsatisfaction. Optimum model approach on inventory has been taken using constant consideration on several storage and production planning characteristics. Optimum inventory model was developed through direct field observation on individual characteristic of raw materials and its fullfliness characteristic and their link to production planning. QS Software was used to solve EOQ analysis. The object research consist of 4 kinds of small scale industries, that are : emping melinjo (Gnetum g nem on), geplak, tofu (traditional food of soybean material) anda bakery small industries. The result shown that the inventory model of small scale industries Is affected by production rate. Case on emping melinjo industries, the inventory model consist of: (i) inventory model based on lead time greater than zero (ii) in ven tory model based on tolerance of raw material-shortage and (iii) inventory model based on constant production rate (replenishment model). Using the inventory model optimized in this research, raw material distribution controlled by government can be improved. Analysis show that the reorder point and order interval can be reduced (in cased of sugar and flour raw material). Fluctuation pricing of raw material provoque augmentation of total cost and order interval (in case of coconut raw material)

    Mitigasi Risiko pada Industri Pengalengan Gudeg

    Pengalengan gudeg merupakan industri berkembang di Yogyakarta. Kelancaran pada kegiatan rantai pasok pengalengan gudeg menjadi hal yang harus diperhatikan. Namun pada proses rantai pasok tersebut ditemukan beberapa risiko yang mengakibatkan sistem tidak dapat berjalan lancar karena faktor kegagalan mesin, kesalahan pekerja, terputusnya aliran listrik, dan terhentinya rantai pasok bahan baku sehingga menyebabkan downtime dalam manajemen rantai pasoknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi risiko yang sering terjadi pada rantai pasok pengalengan gudeg di Yogyakarta, menentukan prioritas risiko yang terjadi pada rantai pasok pengalengan gudeg di Yogyakarta, dan memberikan usulan mitigasi risiko berdasarkan prioritas risiko pengalengan Gudeg di Yogyakarta. Kriteria penelitian menggunakan Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) terdiri dari Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Return, dan Enable. Kejadian risiko yang teridentifikasi dilakukan penilaian risiko menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dan usulan mitigasi risiko menggunakan metode Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Usulan mitigasi risiko berdasarkan nilai ranking the top five RPN. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada saat identifikasi, risiko lebih banyak terjadi pada proses bisnis pembuatan gudeg kaleng dan kontrol jaringan, serta kepatuhan. Terdapat prioritas risiko berdasarkan hasil penilaian yang perlu dilakukan mitigasi yaitu Perubahan penjadwalan produksi dan tenaga kerja yang mendadak, perbedaan variasi kualitas bahan baku, pengelolaan sumber daya yang tidak maksimal, kegagalan mesin (downtime), keterlambatan pengiriman produk ke pelanggan, idle time pada aliran rantai pasok, tingkat kepatuhan pekerja terhadap SOP yang masih rendah, dan peramalan penjualan produk lemah. Usulan mitigasi risiko pada industri pengalengan gudeg adalah melakukan peningkatan pengawasan dan kontrol terhadap pekerja, preventive maintenance mesin secara rutin, peningkatan ketelitian dalam sortir bahan baku, perbaikan safety stock product dan order policy, serta melakukan peningkatan keefektifan penjadwalan produksi dan pembelian bahan baku berdasarkan perkiraan peramalan permintaan produk
