Evaluation of the Professional Diploma in Teaching Program by Students in Universities. A Case Study of UAE
The researcher assessed the professional diploma in the teaching program at one of the institutions in the United Arab Emirates from the students’ perspectives in this study. To reach the desired results, the researcher utilized the descriptive-analytical approach. The data was gathered using a questionnaire with 39 items divided into four sections: program objectives, program contents, program outputs, and the teaching and learning process. The questionnaire was distributed to 271 male and female students in the 2018/2019 academic year program. According to research findings, students rated the curriculum highly in all areas. There have been no significant disparities between the four components assessments. Gender, specialization, years of experience, and educational level are unaffected. The outcomes of this study will add to the body of information, allowing for a better understanding of the features and behaviors of diplomas in teaching program execution in various nations
Self-Esteem and its Relationship to some Demographic Variables among Students with Learning Disabilities
This study aimed at identifying self-esteem and its relationship to some demographic variables among students with learning disabilities in Irbid, Jordan. The study used the descriptive methodology and used a scale to measure the levels of self-esteem among 2000 male and female students from the third and fourth grades in primary schools in Irbid city. The results revealed that the level of self-esteem was average. There were apparent significant differences in the levels of self- esteem due to the effect of gender, and the differences came in favor of males. The results also showed no statistically significant differences due to the effect of the school grade. In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommends raising the level of the students’ self-esteem through cooperation between school administrations, teachers, and students’ parents, and researchers conducting developmental studies, comparing levels of shyness and self-esteem among students at different ages and environments

Examining the Influence of Website Quality on Citizen's E-Loyalty in Domestic Tourism in Jordan: The Role of E-Trust and E-Satisfaction
Data Availability:
The data underpinning the conclusions of this research can be obtained from the author upon request ([email protected]).Copyright © 2023 Nour Qatawneh et al. The fast development of the Internet has raised the number of government-related websites and the variety of e-services available. Despite tourism’s critical significance in supporting the national economy, relatively few researches have been conducted on the influence of tourism website quality dimensions on electronic loyalty among citizens (e-loyalty), particularly in the Jordanian domestic tourism context. The objective of this research is to identify the factors that impact the e-loyalty of citizens toward the e-government services offered by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in Jordan, considering the mediating influence of citizens’ e-satisfaction and e-trust, primarily following Oliver’s (1999) e-loyalty model. The survey questionnaire was adopted as a main strategy to collect and analyze primary data and to investigate the relationships between variables. Statistical processing was applied using IBM SPSS version 22 package and Amos version 25 for path analysis as the main statistical software package. The results indicated that citizens’ e-loyalty toward the governmental tourism-related website in Jordan is moderate, demonstrating that citizens are generally comfortable with the e-services provided. Furthermore, the results suggest that e-satisfaction and e-trust both play a mediating role in the connection between dimensions of website quality (specifically, information quality and personalization) and the e-loyalty of citizens. This study contributes to the theory by combining the relationships among website quality dimensions, citizen e-trust, e-satisfaction, and e-loyalty, particularly in the unique setting of Jordan’s domestic tourism sector. The results provide valuable insights for policymakers and tourism sector managers, aiding them in the implementation of information and communication technology (ICT) strategies that facilitate citizens’ transactions and encourage them to participate effectively in e-government activities, thereby boosting the kingdom’s economy and gross domestic product (GDP). The government also recommended enhancing awareness programs and employee training in order to enhance the e-services offered to citizens
The Effectiveness of a Program Based on Mathematical Communication on Conceptual Understanding and Mathematics Anxiety of Eighth-Grade Students فاعلية برنامج قائم على الاتصال الرياضي في الفهم المفاهيمي وقلق الرياضيات لدى طلبة الصف الثامن الأساسي في الاردن
Abstract: The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a program based on mathematical communication in conceptual understanding and the level of mathematics anxiety among eighth grade students. The study sample consisted of (54) students of eighth grade students enrolled in two schools in the town of Ala\u27al belonging to the Directorate of Education of the brigade of Irbid during the second semester of the academic year 2017-2018, distributed equally to two groups (experimental, control). Experimental group subordinated to a program based on mathematical communication. The other was a control group studied by a traditional method. The study adopted the quasi-experimental design. To achieve the objectives of the study, a test was conducted to measure the conceptual understanding, and the measure of the concern of mathematics, were verified for their validity and reliability. The results showed significant differences between the two groups on the conceptual understanding test. These differences were in favor of the experimental group. The results showed that there were differences on the math anxiety scale in the experimental group compared to the control group.
Robust features extraction for general fish classification
Image recognition process could be plagued by many problems including noise, overlap, distortion, errors in the outcomes of segmentation, and impediment of objects within the image. Based on feature selection and combination theory between major extracted features, this study attempts to establish a system that could recognize fish object within the image utilizing texture, anchor points, and statistical measurements. Then, a generic fish classification is executed with the application of an innovative classification evaluation through a meta-heuristic algorithm known as Memetic Algorithm (Genetic Algorithm with Simulated Annealing) with back-propagation algorithm (MA-B Classifier). Here, images of dangerous and non-dangerous fish are recognized. Images of dangerous fish are further recognized as Predatory or Poison fish family, whereas families of non-dangerous fish are classified into garden and food family. A total of 24 fish families were used in testing the proposed prototype, whereby each family encompasses different number of species. The process of classification was successfully undertaken by the proposed prototype, whereby 400 distinct fish images were used in the experimental tests. Of these fish images, 250 were used for training phase while 150 were used for testing phase. The back-propagation algorithm and the proposed MA-B Classifier produced a general accuracy recognition rate of 82.25 and 90% respectively
