One-step generation of high-quality squeezed and EPR states in cavity QED

We show how to generate bilinear (quadratic) Hamiltonians in cavity quantum electrodynamics (QED) through the interaction of a single driven three-level atom with two (one) cavity modes. With this scheme it is possible to generate one-mode mesoscopic squeezed superpositions, two-mode entanglements, and two-mode squeezed vacuum states (such the original EPR state), without the need for Ramsey zones and external parametric amplification. The degree of squeezing achieved is up to 99% with currently feasible experimental parameters and the errors due to dissipative mechanisms become practically negligible

The Analysis of The Investigation of The Feeling and Attitude of Responding of Clinical Nurses for The Sexuality of Elder People : A Study of Elderly Sexuality(4)

本研究の目的は、高齢者ケアに携わる臨床看護婦の「高齢者の性」に対する気持ちと対応に及ぼす要因を明らかにする事である。対象は病院に勤務する看護婦(女性)1,899名である。本研究の結果として①高齢者に対してのイメージはややマイナスイメージであった、②「高齢者の性」と「自分自身の性」にはとらえ方に違いがあった、③臨床において看護婦が遭遇する最も多い「性」的事柄は「場画」(61.0%)であり、次いで「話題」(50.4%)、「相談」(27,2%)であった。「場面」「話題」についてはそれぞれの年齢層の50%以上の者が遭遇していた、④「性」的事柄に遭遇した時の気持ちと対応には違いがあり、それは年齢・結婚歴・出産経験・同居の有無・仕事や仕事以外の高齢者との交流の有無・高齢者のイメージと関連があった。このような本研究の結果から"「高齢者の性」に対する気持ちと対応の分析モデル"を修正した。The purpose of this study is to make evident the factors which influence the feelings and attitude of responding to "ELDERLY SEXUALITY" of clinical nurses taking part in care of elderly people. The object is 1899nurses(female) working at hospital. And we can obtain these matters as results through this study. ①They have slightly minus image for elderly people. ②There s a difference in the ways how they comprehend "Elderly sexuality" and "sexuality of oneself. ③The affairs concerning sexuality which they come across the most is the "scenes"(61.6%) and the next is the "topics"(50.4%) and the third is the "consultation"(27.2%) Over the 50% of the every brackets of age come across the "scenes" and the "topics". ④There s a difference offeelings and attitude of responding sexual affairs. That relates to the age, the image for elderly people and the presence of experience of the marriage, giving birth, and keeping company with elderly people on business or in private life. Japan, America, and Identity: A Culinary Triangle

Japanese cuisine has gained more attention and popularity than ever before. But one has to ask, What images come to mind when the suggestion to eat Japanese is made? Japanese food is representative of a traditional but hyper-modern culture containing a great deal of cultural capital (Bourdieu, 1978, 1991). This paper discusses qualitative findings related to the construction of identity through language use in Japanese restaurants. Questions the paper addresses are: (1) How is English used to make global Japanese food local?; (2) What Japanese text is used to allow Japanese cuisine to remain a distinct, ethnic eating experience?; (3) How does a Japanese restaurant fit into social relations between Japanese/Japanese, Japanese/non-Japanese, and non-Japanese/non-Japanese. 高知工科大学の取り組み～教員評価を基盤とするFD活動～

FD活動の目標を定義しつつ、本学の教育改善活動について、特に本学の特長である教育講師制度に焦点をあてて紹介する。また教育改善のためのFD活動について紹介するとともに、FD活動の意欲の限界や、研修活動の限界について述べる。諸問題を解決する方法として、本学では包括的な教員評価システムを導入した。そのシステムの特長と利点を紹介し、授業評価の改善効果や、結果（成果）主義からの離脱についても論じる。Education enhancement activities at Kochi University of Technology (KUT) are explained here, especially focusing on the education lecturer (EL) system. The explanation is based on the university's established Faculty Development (FD) objectives, and FD activities provided for these education enhancement activities are described. In addition, the limitations of FD activities and regular training methods are described. As an approach to overcoming these limitations, mainly lack of incentive, KUT has introduced a comprehensive Faculty Evaluation System. The design and advantages of the system are explained here, with attention to improvements in class evaluation and alternatives to results-oriented evaluation principles.journal articl
