The empirical results suggest positive impact of native English teachers on students' English performance. The positive effect is observed mainly for higher-ability students, who are confident in and well-prepared for English. This result indicates that an extension of the current native English teacher program might lead to a better outcome for students' English ability and that a customized way of teaching by native English teachers is expected to better serve different levels of students in different approaches

The study was based on data from the 2014 Graduate Occupational Mobility Survey, which found that approximately 15% of students delayed graduation, a significantly conservative figure to previous estimates. A probit model of the data showed that delayed graduation significantly increases chances of employment, approximately 7% more likely to find employment than students who did not. However, a sample selection model of the data showed that while delayed increases likelihood of employment, the initial salary of that employment decreases by 30% or greater. Based on the results of this study, we know that delaying graduation to secure a preparatory period for employment does significantly increase chance of employment, but delayed college students are not more likely to get a better job
