Adaptive Web site construction using art
The design of a complex web site is a very difficult problem in World Wide Web. Each user has different goal and sites are usually changing while site grows and evolves. Web servers record data about user interactions as web log data. This web log has all hits of user access. In order to improve system performance and to reduce visitor's navigation effort, the adaptive web site was suggested. The adaptive web site is a web sites that automatically improve their organization and presentation by self-learning. To get information for site modification, we use web log. We cluster the pages in the web site using ART(Adaptive Resonance Theory) and provide grouped pages to improve system performance. ART model cluster web log pattern well and the result of clustering information is good to system topology modification.IEE
Dynamic web page generation using classification of web link information
There are a lot of commercial internet sites present. These sites are developing various services for more users, and many users are using the services. As various services of websites increase, contents of web page take variety line and are complex. To do point function of these services is link service. If this link information runs much for Web page, links are affected in drive of early web page. Finally, a lot of links can give load to server if source of web page is grown in case of many users access for first Web page. One of method that reduce load of this web server is that most users use mainly using mainly link. So, we can shorten size of web page source making web service that acts some of link information. In this paper, we suggest method that reduce link information and do implementation. Texture segmentation using competitive learning algorithm with pyramid approach
In this paper, we propose a new segmentation method of an image composed of some kinds of textures by Walsh spectrums and competitive learning with pyramid approach. After a texture image is divided into nonoverlapping small windows with the same square size, the texture feature vectors in those windows are extracted by Walsh spectrums. In this paper, we propose a simple competitive learning (SCL) with pyramid structure that has one pixel on a higher level can be cluster number of n*n square pixels on a lower level which has a higher resolution. The clustering of feature vectors is performed by simple competitive learning algorithm and then the candidate clustering numbers are obtained. These cluster numbers make a new input vectors. These vectors are presented to the neural network of SCL as input patterns again. Like this, SCL is applied recursively like this until closure measure is satisfied. The simulation results show that misclassification rate is decreased in our proposed method.IEE
A rule filtering component based on recommendation agent system for classifying email document
The increased use of Internet generalizes the use of e-mail, a medium for information exchange. E-mail is used not only for individual purposes but also in a variety of purposes that users have to process significant volume. In this study, we propose a recommendation agent system the enable users for direct and optimal classification with the recommendation of the applicable category when a mail arrives as a way of efficient management of e-mail. Component-based recommendation agent system for efficient email inbox management
This study suggests a recommendation agent system that the user can optimally sort out incoming email messages according to category. The system is an effective way to manage ever-increasing email documents. For more accurate classification, the Bayesian learning algorithm using dynamic threshold has been applied. As a solution to the problem of erroneous classification, we suggest the following two approaches: First is the algorithmic approach that improves the accuracy of the classification by using dynamic threshold of the existing Bayesian algorithm. Second is the methodological approach using recommendation agent that the user, not the auto-sort, can make the final decision. In addition, major modules are based on rule filtering components for scalability and reusability. © Springer-Verlag 2004
Dynamic workload balancing for collaboration strategy in hybrid P2P system
The peer-to-peer (P2P) systems have grown significantly over the last few years due to their high potential of sharing various resources. Analyzing the workload of P2P system, however, is very challenging as it involves with the cooperation of many peers. Researches have shown that P2P systems become very effective when dividing the peers into two layers, SP (Super-Peer) and OP (Ordinary-Peer). In this configuration, SP based P2P systems have to deal with a large volume of queries from OPs. Therefore, it is important for SPs to keep their workload stable to provide quality service to the OPs. In this study, we present a collaboration strategy for workload balancing based on SP's workload characteristics and status. Through the SP's load balancing mechanism, the message response time is decreased and the workload of P2P system becomes more stable. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007
Users access discrimination and remote control study of embedded system using mini web server
Embedded Mini Web Server is difficult access of many users like general web server. However, if many users should access to Embedded system, this system need access certification and service management about users. In this paper, we attempt RFID access that is characteristic access method that is not method that is log of general web server. Also, many users must consider segment that manages occasion and majority Embedded systems accessing to Embedded system. One administrator must be able to control easily Embedded equipments to manage many several Embedded systems efficiently. And discrete embedded environment is important efficient remote management. When it is environment that many users use embedded system need user each differentiation vicinity and control. Collaborative filtering with automatic rating for recommendation
In this paper we describe recommender system designed to suggest new products to Web shopping mall customers. The recommender is meant to provide alternatives or new products that suits active user's tastes and meets his/her needs. Most previously proposed recommendation systems that use collaborative filtering can cause a problem when there are insufficient user ratings. We address this problem combining content-based filtering and collaborative filtering. And using automatic rating method instead of users' explicit rating inaccuracy of rating data is decreased.IEE
Content similarity matching mechanism based on category for hybrid P2P system
For the last few years, there has been a large volume of research on Peer-to-Peer (P2P) system, resulting in many hybrid P2P models. This model uses name-based matching method as a SP finds the contents in directory server. The existing SP based P2P information retrieval method simply depends on queries of requester and content's name shared by peers, however, there is a limit to provide exact matching between query and content's name due to the inaccuracy in the content's name or keyword in the request. In this study, we propose an ISP2P (Intelligent Super-Peer based P2P system) using presented category-based content similarity matching algorithm. The proposed system can solve the problem incurred due to the discrepancy between names of contents. Also peers in the network can choose the peer with high relevance value based on category. © 2007 IEEE
