Customers are interested in the social commerce because of purchasing products or services at a low price. As social commerce is growing in number and size, customers damages are also increasing. Thus, customers perceive lots of risks about social commerce. The purposes of this study are as follows. First, we study the relationship between anticipated regret and perceived risk such as the risk of time-limit and risk of opportunity loss. Second, this study investigates a moderating effect of transaction frequency. Third, we analyze the relationship between anticipated regret and satisfaction. We also examine the relationship between anticipated regret and repurchase intention, and the relationship between anticipated regret and complaint behavior intention. In order to carry out research purposes, we conducted a survey of social commerce users. The questionnaires composed of imaginary scenario were distributed and collected randomly. We obtained a total of 140 questionnaires, and did analysis of variance and regression analysis by using SPSS 18.0 statistical program. The major findings of this research are as follows. First, the higher the risk of time-limit is, the more consumers anticipate regret. Likewise, the higher the risk of opportunity loss is, the more consumers anticipate regret. Second, the relationship between the risk of opportunity loss and anticipated regret was moderated by transaction frequency. However, the relationship between the risk of time-limit and anticipated regret was not moderated by transaction frequency. Third, the more consumers anticipate regret, the lower satisfaction and repurchase intention are. Fourth, the more consumers anticipate regret, the lower complaint behavior intention is. This is because consumers think that they are responsible for not withdrawing their orders. The early studies on social commerce deal with consumers who have less experience with social commerce purchase. This research is distinguished from other researches in that it includes various consumers who have much experience with social commerce purchase. By increasing expiration date of coupon, perceived risk of social commerce consumers decrease. The fact that this affects satisfaction and repurchase intention has important implications to social commerce business. Social commerce has been continually growing and developing. Because social commerce is a more recent phenomenon and has not been studied as extensively, this study can contribute to future researches of social commerce.
