소학(小學)이 부재하는 현실과 도덕적 삶의 문제

주자어류(朱子語類)에서 공부론(工夫論)에 해당하는 첫 번째 권의 이름은 소학이다. 또한 그 첫 조목은 예전에 처음 소학에 입학 했을 때는 단지 일처리만을 가르쳤다는 말로 시작한다. 이를 통해엮은이의 의도를 헤아려보자면, 주희(朱熹, 1130∼1200)의 공부론에서 가장 먼저 다루어져야 할 부분은 바로 소학에 대한 내용이라는 것이다. 주희는 소학을 어린이들에게 일상의 사물을 처리하는 방법을 가르쳤던 학교로 이해했다. 그러나 지금에 이르러 이러한 교육 전통 은 끊어지게 되었고 이에서 비롯하는 결핍을 보충하기가 어렵게 되었다. 이에 주희는 1183년부터 4년에 걸쳐서 유청지(劉淸之, 1139∼1195)와 함께 소학을 편집한다. 옛날 소학에서 교육하던 모습을 좇아서 어린아이들에게 주어서 배우고 익히는데 도움이 되게 하고자하였던 것이다

Physiological responses during wheelchair propulsion in persons with spinal cord injury

보건학과/석사[한글] 본 연구의 목적은 의자차의 의자높이에 따른 척수손상 환자의 의자차 추진의 생리학적 반응과 함께 운동선수와 비운동선수간의 차이를 알아보는데 있다. 연구대상으로 연세의료원 재활병원에서 재활 훈련을 마친 척수손상 환자 중 본 연구의 필요조건을 충족하는 하반신마비 판자 10명을 선정하였다. 이중 선수군 5명은 정기적인 운동을 하고 있는 장애인 선수였으며 비선수군 5명은 정기적인 운동은 하지 않으나 사회생활에서 활동적인 척수 장애인이었다. 각 연구대상에게 운동기능 측정 및 의자차 에르고미터 Ergotronic 4000 (Sopur GmbH Heidelberg, Germany)위에서 의자차를 추진하도록 하여 생리학적 반응을 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 악력 및 견관절 근력검사시 견관절 굴근과 신근의 평균 최대 우력치는 선수군과 비선수군간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 2. 의자차 에르고미터의 저항수준 1에서 의자차를 주행했을 때 시속 5km의 속도로 추진시 폐환기량, 산소소비량, 이산화탄소 배출량, 심박수가 주관절각도 120°와 140°의 의자높이에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 그러나 시속 3km 및 4km의 속도로 추진시에는 두 의자높이간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 3. 동일한 저항수준에서 의자차를 추진하였음에도 불구하고 의자차 추진속도에 따라 폐환기량, 산소소비량, 이산화탄소 배출량, 심박수가 모두 유의하계 증가하였다 4. 선수군과 비선수군을 비교했을때 시속 5km의 속도로 추진시 주관절 각도 120° 의자높이에서의 산소소비량과 두 의자높이에서의 폐환기량, 이산화탄소배출량, 심박수는 비선수군보다 선수군이 유의하게 낮았다. 그러나 시속 3km및 4km의 속도로 추진시에는 140° 의 의자높이에서의 심박수를 제외하면 두 집단간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 빠른 속도로 추진시 의자차의 의자높이와 정기적인 운동 유.무에 따라 생리학적 반응의 유의한 차이가 있었다- 따라서 척수손상환자의 의자차의 선택시 적절한 높이가 고려되어야 하며, 건강유지 및 체력향상을 위하여 재활치료 과정에 효율적인 운동프로그램이 필요하다고 생각한다. [영문] The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of seat height and regular physical training on physiological responses during wheelchair propulsion in persons with spinal cord injury. Ten male wheelchair-bound adults with spinal cord injury participated in this study- Each subject propelled a wheelchair on wheelchair ergometer(Ergotronic 4000) at three velocities ranging from 3 to 5km/hr with different seat heights of 120 and 140 degrees elbow angle(subject sitting erect. hands on the xii in top-dead-center). Ventilation volume, oxygen consumption. carbon dioxide production, heart rate lese continuously monitored during wheelchair propulsion. Additionally, measurement of grip strength and isokinetic shoulder strength were made. The results of this study were as for lows : 1. There was no statistical significant difference on the hand grip strengh and the peak torque of shoulder flexor and shoulder extensor between athlete group and active individual group. 2. There was statistically significant difference on ventilation volume, oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production, heart rate between the two wheelchair seat heights at a speed of 5km/hr. but there was no difference on the physiological responses between the two wheelchair seat heights at the speed of 3km/hr, 4km/hr. 3. Ventilation volume, oxygen consumption. carbon dioxide production, heart rate increased significantly with propulsion velocity. 4. During propulsion at a speed of 5km/hr, ventilation volume, carbon dioxide production, heart rate of athlete group there significantly less than those of active individual group. These results showed that regular physical training and wheelchair seat height contributed significantly to physiological responses during wheelchair propulsion at higher speed.restrictio

A Study on Jigak (知覺) Theory of Kim Changheup

학위논문(석사) -- 서울대학교대학원 : 인문대학 철학과(동양철학전공), 2023. 2. 정원재.This thesis aims to explain the jigak/zhijue (知覺) theory of Kim Changheup (金昌翕, 1653～1722) which was shared by his brother Kim Changhyeop (金昌協, 1651～1708) and later Nak School (洛學). Jigak is a neo-confucianist term denoting the faculty that produces a reaction like emotion or judgement when stimulated. Previous studies did not fully explain why Kim brothers accepted the argument that seong/xing (性) directly produces the moral judgement and how they justified that jigak without seong can lead the moral practice. This thesis analyzes the notion of the jigak of sim/xin (心) and the jigak of seong in The Article Discussing the Word Wisdom (論智字說) written by Kim Changheup to answer those problems. This thesis first examines the jigak theory of Yulgok School, and then that of Kim brothers to make clear how the two are different from each other. Unlike Zhu Xi who defined jigak as the faculty of sim, which derived from the innate moral disposition (seong), Yulgok School defined it only as the amoral faculty of sim. According to their explanation, the jigak of sim in natural state has nothing to do with seong, so it is void [虛] of morality. Thus, they maintained that sim has to accept and follow seong or the social rule as ethical standards to overcome the natural amoral state. Kim brothers shared the premise of Yulgok School that the jigak of sim in natural state is void of morality and has nothing to do with seong. They, however, understood the jigak differently. First, they argued that it does not produce a moral judgement, but the jigak of seong does. Kim changhuep explained that one who has acquired the rule is always aware of what the rule wants him/her to do, which means one always succeeds in making a moral judgement. He attributed this faculty of moral judgement to seong or the social rule itself, because it is not influenced by any personal characteristics. Second, Kim brothers argued that the natural state of the jigak of sim or its devoid state of morality should rather be preserved for moral practices. They reinterpreted the voidness as the undefined, which can accept and imitate anything while unattached to it. This reinterpretation implies that the jigak of sim can accept and imitate the jigak of seong though it remains amoral in itself when its natural state is well preserved. Moreover, by diverging from Yulgok Schools jigak theory, Kim Changheup argued that the jigak of sim has not the basis of not only morality but also sensual desires. In his theory, sensual desires are derived from cheongi/tienji (天機), which the jigak of sim has no connection to. He denied the conflict between sensual desires and the social rule, because sensual desires in its original state are too trivial to cause any moral problem. Furthermore, he insisted that the sensual desires even have moral value, because they make one to survive and reproduce to continue parents lineage. It implies that the jigak of sim can just follow the original state of sensual desires, since there is no need to suppress it. Therefore, the jigak theory of Kim brothers can be regarded as a reinterpretation of that of Yulgok School, because even though both are based on the same premise that the jigak of sim is not connected to seong, the former sees the voidness of it should be preserved, not like the latter. It is significant that Kim brothers theory allowed the possibility of natural and flexible way to moral practices, and stopped suppressing sensual desires. On the other hand, their theory is morally weak: admitting the disconnection between jigak and morality (seong), their theory falls into the disapproval of the necessity of self-cultivation, and could be exploited to approve hypocrisy and self-deception.본 논문은 김창흡(金昌翕, 1653～1722)의 지각(知覺) 개념을 분석함으로써 낙학(洛學)의 선구에 해당하는 김창협(金昌協, 1651～1708) 형제가 공유한 철학적 입장을 구명하는 연구이다. 지금까지 두 형제의 지각 개념에 대한 선행연구는 이들이 본성을 지각 외부의 규범으로 이해하면서도 본성의 유위(有爲)를 인정했다는 점, 본성과 단절된 지각이 도덕 실천을 주재하는 역할을 수행할 수 있다고 보았던 점 등을 적절히 설명해내지 못했다. 이에 본 논문에서는 김창흡이 ｢논지자설(論智字說)｣에서 제시한 마음의 지각과 본성의 지각 개념을 분석함으로써 이러한 문제를 해명하고 두 형제의 입장을 철학사적으로 평가해보았다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 율곡학파의 지각 이론을 살펴본 뒤에 두 형제의 이론이 이와 분기되는 지점을 살펴보는 방법을 취했다. 지각을 본성에 근거한 기능이자 마음의 기능으로 규정했던 주희와 달리 율곡학파에서는 지각을 마음의 기능으로만 한정한다. 마음의 지각이 가지는 텅 비어 있다는 특징[虛]은 그것이 본성과 단절되어 있어서 도덕적으로 불완전함을 의미한다는 것이다. 이에 율곡학파에서는 지각 외부에 위치한 규범을 의미하는 본성을 수용함으로써 마음의 지각이 도덕적 성격을 가진 본성에 근거한 지각으로 변화할 필요가 있다고 주장한다. 김창협 형제는 기본적으로 마음의 지각이 본성과 단절되어 있으며 본성이 지각 외부의 사회 규범을 의미한다는 율곡학파의 기본 관점을 받아들인다. 하지만 두 형제가 마음과 본성을 이해하는 구체적인 방식은 율곡학파와 다르다. 먼저 도덕 감정의 산출을 위해 본성과 마음의 역할이 모두 필요하다고 본 율곡학파에서와 달리 이들은 마음의 역할 없이도 본성이 직접 감정을 산출할 수 있다고 본다. 누구든 일단 규범을 습득한 뒤에는 주어진 상황에서 사회가 요구하는 바를 동일하게 판단할 수 있다는 것이다. 이러한 도덕적 판단 기능은 개개인의 자질과 무관하게 이루어진다는 점에서 두 형제는 이를 사실상 사회 규범이 직접 수행한 것이라 이해하고 이러한 도덕적 지각을 본성의 범주에서 규정한 것이다. 또한 마음의 지각이 자연상태에서 텅 비어 있어서 도덕적으로 불완전하다고 본 율곡학파에서와 달리 김창협 형제는 오히려 이러한 자연상태를 보존해야 한다고 주장한다. 이들은 마음의 지각이 가진 텅 비어 있다는 특징을 자유로운 수용성으로 재해석하고 이를 바탕으로 마음의 지각이 어떤 대상도 그대로 받아들여 모방할 수 있지만 어떤 대상에도 얽매이지 않는다고 설명한다. 이에 두 형제는 텅 비어 있다는 특징을 잘 보존함으로써 마음의 지각이 그 자체로는 도덕적이지 않으면서도 본성의 지각을 그대로 수용하여 도덕 실천을 주재할 수 있다고 본다. 나아가 김창흡은 마음의 지각이 도덕적 근거뿐만 아니라 감각적 근거까지도 결여한다고 이해함으로써 욕구와 규범 사이의 관계를 율곡학파와는 다른 관점에서 바라보려고 한다. 그에 따르면 본성의 지각과 유사하게 감각적 욕구를 반영하는 반응도 마음의 지각 외부에 위치한 천기(天機)에 근거를 둔다. 또한 천기에 근거한 감각적 욕구란 본래 도덕 규범과 상충하지 않는 소박한 수준에서 나타날 뿐이며 이러한 욕구는 효(孝)를 가능케 한다는 점에서 그 자체로 도덕적 의의를 가진다고까지 주장한다. 이에 그는 욕구를 통제하려고 애쓸 필요 없이 마음의 지각이 감각적 욕구를 본래 모습대로 받아들이기만 하면 된다고 낙관할 수 있게 된다. 이처럼 김창협 형제의 철학적 입장은 지각을 마음의 기능으로 한정한 율곡학파의 기본 관점을 받아들였지만 본성과 단절되어 있다는 점을 오히려 긍정적으로 조명했다는 점에서 율곡학파의 변형으로 평가해볼 수 있다. 두 형제의 지각 이론은 마음의 지각에 주어진 조건을 극복하려고 했던 율곡학파와 달리 이를 보존할 것을 주장함으로써 자연스럽고 유연한 도덕 실천의 가능성을 확보하고 나아가 감각적 욕구를 긍정적으로 바라볼 수 있게 해주었다는 점에서 의의를 가진다고 할 수 있다. 하지만 이들은 마음의 지각이 본성과 단절되어 있다는 점을 관철하여 마음이 도덕적 성격을 가져야 한다는 필요성을 부정함으로써 신유학의 본령인 인격 수양의 이념을 사실상 포기하고 위선과 허위를 허용할 가능성이 높아졌다는 한계를 가지기도 한다.제1장 서론 1 제2장 지각에 대한 두 관점 11 제1절 주희의 지각: 마음의 기능이자 본성에 근거한 기능 11 제2절 이이의 지각: 마음의 기능에서 본성에 근거한 기능으로 20 제3장 마음의 지각에 대한 두 관점 34 제1절 김창협의 호병문 비판: 리와 무관한 마음의 지각 긍정 34 제2절 김간의 김창협 비판: 리에 근거한 마음의 지각 긍정 45 제4장 김창흡의 지각 구분 59 제1절 본성의 지각: 사회에 의한 도덕적 판단 60 제2절 마음의 지각 82 제1항 본성과 감정의 주재 82 제2항 자유로운 수용과 모방 93 제3항 도덕과 욕구의 병행 106 제5장 결론 125 참고문헌 130 Abstract 135석
