    The Moderating Effect of Product Quality and the Mediating Effect of Refundability in Korean Versus French Daily Necessity

The immense contribution of purchasers' keen inclination for specific foreign products or brand image in forming the foundation of marketing strategies escalates the value of the Country of Origin effect since it theorizes the functionality of the consumers' credence or engagement for specific nations and products in this international age. The following study conducted a case study analysis established on South Korean consumers. Articles published so far have focused on the Country of Origin's direct role in product evaluation, purchase intention, and high-involvement products. Unlike them, this article segmented the quality of low-involvement product and their interaction with the Country of Origin Effect. It further discusses the effect of such interaction on product evaluation, purchase intention, and Word of Mouth intention. Moreover, it researches whether Korean consumers prioritize the quality or the Country of Origin of low-involvement products. The Country of Origin is set as the independent variable, and the product quality is set as the moderator variable. Each variable is examined to outline its impact on product evaluation, purchase intention, and Word of Mouth intention. Meticulously, the following work emphasizes low-involvement products, which have relatively low interest or significance to consumers but is necessary in daily life. This article investigates how Country of Origin impacts its product evaluation, purchase intention, and Word of Mouth intention fluctuate. Furthermore, this piece aims to scrutinize the relationship between uncertainty and the Country of Origin effect. Refundability was introduced as another important variable to examine whether it would influence the Country of Origin effect and purchase intentions. Online shopping has become so popular among consumers today, especially overseas direct purchases, that cross-national barriers have emerged as a new shopping trend. Thus, following the popular phenomenon this article examines refundability has a mediating effect on the relationship between Country of Origin (overseas direct purchase products) and purchase intention.제품의 원산지는 글로벌 마케팅 시대에 중요한 경쟁변수로서 빈번하게 연구되었고, 소비자 행동과 구매에도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 글로벌 시대에 외국 제품 및 브랜드 이미지를 선호하는 소비자 태도는 마케팅 전략 수립에 중요한 기초가 되기에, 특정 국가와 제품에 대한 소비자의 신념, 태도 혹은 행위를 설명하는 원산지 효과는 상당히 중요하다. 본 연구는 한국 소비자를 대상으로 실증연구를 수행하였다. 원산지 효과가 제품평가, 구매의도 등에 직접적으로 미치는 영향, 고관여 제품이 원산지 효과에 미치는 영향 등 기존 논문과 달리 저관여 제품의 품질을 세분화하여 원산지 효과와의 상호작용이 제품평가, 구매의도, 구전의향에 미치는 영향을 연구를 했다. 한국소비자들이 저관여 제품의 품질과 원산지 중 어떤 요소를 더 중요시하고 선택할 것인지를 탐구한다. 연구를 위한 비교군은 한국산 생활용품과 프랑스산 생활용품이다. 원산지가 독립변수, 제품 품질이 조절변수로서 제품평가, 구매의도, 구전의향에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고자 한다. 세부적으로는 소비자에게 제품에 대한 흥미 또는 중요성이 비교적 낮지만 사람이 생활하는데 있어서 반드시 필요로 하는 저관여 제품 (생활용품)을 중점으로 제품 품질에 따라 원산지 효과가 제품평가, 구매의도, 구전의향이 어떻게 다른지 분석한다. 또한, 온라인 쇼핑은 오늘날 소비자들에게 너무나 친숙한 일상이 되었으며, 특히 국가 간 장벽을 뛰어넘는 해외직접구매는 새로운 쇼핑 트렌드로 부상하여 그 동안 학자들로부터 주목받지 못했던 환불 용이성이 해외 직구를 통한 외국산 제품과 국산 제품 간의 어떠한 관계가 있는지 분석해보자 한다.Chapter 1.     기계 학습에 기반한 관측 자료의 이상 처리

    학위논문 (박사)-- 서울대학교 대학원 : 공과대학 전기·컴퓨터공학부, 2018. 8. 문병로.관측시스템에서 수집되는 관측 자료는 여러 현상을 예측하고 분석하는데 중요한 역할을 한다. 그러나 관측 자료에는 여러가지 이유로 상당한 양의 비정상 값이 존재한다. 이런 비정상 값을 찾아내고 처리하는 일은 매우 중요하다. 가장 대표적이고 중요한 관측 자료 중 하나는 기상 관측 자료이다. 본 논문에서는 비정상 값을 탐지하고 보정하기 위해서 기계 학습을 기반으로 한 새로운 방법을 제시하고, 다양한 종류의 실제 기상 관측 자료에 테스트했다. 기상학에서는 비정상 값을 찾는 과정을 품질 관리라고 부른다. 품질 관리 과정에서 발견된 비정상 값을 보정하기 위해서 기계 학습 기법을 이용한 세 가지 추정 모델을 제시했다. 우리는 제시된 모델을 기존의 추정 모델, 보간법과 비교했다. 목표가 되는 기상 요소만 사용하는 보간법과는 달리, 제안한 모델은 관련된 다른 기상 요소들과 주변의 기상 관측 지점의 자료도 사용한다. 신뢰할만한 기관에서 수집된 실제 자료에 대해서 실험해본 결과, 제안한 방법은 보간법에 비해서 RMSE를 8.35% 감소시켜, 더 정확하게 목표값을 추정할 수 있음을 보였다. 다시 말해, 우리가 제시한 방법은 예전 방법들보다 더 적절하게 비정상값들을 대체할 수 있다. 또한 우리는 공간적인 관점에서 관측 자료 중에 비정상 값을 찾아내기 위한, 향상된 품질 관리 기법을 제시한다. 관측값을 예측하기 위해서 지지 벡터 회귀가 사용되었다. 예측된 값과 실제 관측값의 차이를 통해서 관측값이 정상인지 비정상인지를 판별한다. 또한 지지 벡터 회귀의 성능을 향상시키고 수행 시간을 줄이기 위해서, 지지 벡터 회귀의 입력 변수를 선별한다. 선별 과정에서 유사도와 공간성 다양성이라는 두 가지 목적 함수를 동시에 최적화하기 위해, 다목적함수 유전 알고리즘이 사용되었다. 실제 자료를 사용한 실험에서 지지 벡터 회귀를 이용한 추정은 기준이 되는 방법들에 비해서, 경쟁력 있는 수행 시간을 유지하면서 RMSE를 45.44%만큼 감소시켰다.I.     학위논문(박사) - 한국과학기술원 : 수리과학과, 2014.8, [ vi, 53 p. ]In the thesis, interior conductivity reconstruction problems inferring from the interior current density data are considered. It is our main result that an anisotropic conductivity reconstruction in two dimensions is well-posed. This is relevant to an application of a medical diagnosis on human organism since human organism typically has an anisotropic conductivity. In the first part of thesis, the well-posedness theorems on isotropic, orthotropic, and anisotropic conductivities are presented. An existence theorem is treated to the same extent as an uniqueness theorem; The admissibility conditions on the current data that are sufficient to imply the existence of the solution are defined prior to stating the theorems. They provide sufficient conditions to characterize differences between arbitrary vector fields and the current vector fields that are realizable electrically. The main results comes from that we can pose an equation or a system of equations of hyperbolic type on the solution. In the second part of thesis, a numerical algorithm to reconstruct the conductivity is suggested. Isotropic and orthotropic materials can be treated by the algorithm. The algorithm has two advantages: Firstly, the conductivity reconstruction is obtained by directly solving equations of hyperbolic type without iteration process. Secondly, numerical approximations of divergence and curl operator are exact, which is known to be of mimetic type. Since this scheme is realized as a resistive network of circuit theory in our context, we call the algorithm Virtual Resistive Network algorithm. Propagation of noises and the stability of the algorithm is investigated. Due to the nature of the hyperbolic problems, the noises would propagate along characteristic lines without cancellation. The numerical scheme composed by the mimetic idea turns out to be the one that may relax the hyperbolic nature of noise propagation.한국과학기술원 : 수리과학과

    R&D Quality Diagnosis Framework Focusing on R&D Process

    Evaluating the performance of R&D Activity is complicated because it is hard to quantify the R&D results unlike the traditional manufacturing or service industries. Recently, to overcome this, process-focused evaluation methods applying the philosophy of quality into R&D environment have been introduced. However, these quality activities are mainly conducted without feedback system after the evaluation work is done. The aim of this study is to present a R&D quality diagnosis framework to obtain the improvement opportunities from R&D process perspective. The research is designed as follows : First, R&D standard process and R&D quality elements are derived from a literature review. Second, the diagnosis objects are obtained by investigating the R&D quality elements at each R&D steps. Third, a two-dimensional diagnosis model, which enables the objective measurement of the ‘system compatibility’ and ‘accomplish level’, is presented. The proposed method can provide an effective way to find opportunities forefficient quality improvement of R&D process.

    DEVELOPMENT OF UNMANNED UNDERWATER EXCAVATION EQUIPMENT FOR PORT CONSTRUCTION

    Underwater construction works in port areas have mostly depended on divers. It is necessary to develop a new type of mechanized underwater equipment for economical, effective and safe utilization for port construction, which complements a traditional method using divers, especially for underwater leveling works of rubble mound. A project in Korea recently commenced to develop and make practicable unmanned underwater excavation equipment, monitoring system for the underwater environment, and underwater management system. In this study, the specification of the equipment and attached apparatus was determined, and conceptual design of the underwater excavation equipment with underwater monitoring system, underwater management system was performed. An onshore type of remotely controlled system was fabricated and the performance of the equipment was verified in a field condition. The results of this research can be expected to increase the effectiveness of underwater works and to practically utilize to the real fields after performing various field tests with the developed equipment.1

    This paper presents an unserwater construction robot for rubble mound leveling. The robot system is composed of an underwater robot, underwater camera ,sonar sensors, LBL and magnetic gyroscope sensor. Virtual reality is developed to visualize the robots figure and the topography over the working environment and the robot is virtually tele-operated by an operator in a operating room.
