FASHION ILLUSTRATION AS ART : Based on Cubic Expression

The current of modern ar thas a boundary between pur and practical arts so ambiguous and also any differentiation from popular art meaningless. And, providing with new materials and visual forms, the development of scientific technology extends the realm of modern art more and more gradually. There-fore, it may be a meaningful task if we see how fashion illustration keeps and develops its realm among the modern artistic activities. The purpose of the study lies in establishing firmly the fashion illustration as a field of art by enhancing the artistic value of it upon a step that makes it an effective medium for the conveyance of the images of the dress and its ornaments through a new expression that is most representative of the current of modern fashion, in accordance with the general tendency that the usage of it is verified and that emphasis is paid to its artistic nature unlikely with the concepts of it as a genre painting or a supplementary vehicle for fashion design in its earlier stage. The contents of the study include a look into the concept, function and usage of fashion illustration, a discernment of its position through a transitional history of the artistic concept of it, and a survey of the development of the expressional modes and therefrom arised appearance of cubic fashion illustration based on artists and artpieces. As for the study work, designs that are expected to be effective for the cubic expression of fashion illustration were chosen among the works of worldwide familiar fashion designers, and such techniques as burning, air brushing and collage were employed for the cubic expression which made full use of various kinds of matrial focusing on the expression of general image rather then any detail of the dress. Conclusions from the study are as follows: First, fashion illustration is more than simple reappearance of the dress and its ornaments, it has reared its artistic power through individualistic expressions by artists' interpretation and subjectivism, and the artistic nature of it has been reinforced through the participation of artists entering into the modern times. Second, the formative and various change of the design of the modern fashion can convey the image more effectively through the cubic expression of fashion illustration. Third, it could be seen in the process of work making that fashion illustration has limitless potentiality for development in its expression through the changes of the materials and techniques. Fourth, the fashion illustration that has artistic nature heighten the general recognition on fashion and sublimes fashion itself up to a level of art, and also it is believed firmly that it plays an important role in enhancing the senses of the public as a popular art connected to everyday lives of the public unlikely to such pure arts as paintings or sculptures in exhibition halls and musiums. Now, fashion illustrators, incidentally saying, should endeavour to heighten the artistic value of fashion illustration by developing peculiar spheres of themselves' own based on making the most of the worths of new materials and media and also their experimental sprits.;현대 예술의 흐름은 순수미술과 실용미술의 한계를 모호하게 하고, 대중예술과의 구별 또한 무의미한 것으로 하게 하고 있다. 그리고 과학 기술의 발달은 새로운 재료와 시각 형식을 제공함으로써 현대 예술의 영역을 점점 더 확대시키고 있다. 이러한 현대 예술 활동 중에서 패션 일러스트레이션이 그 영역을 어떻게 지키고 발전해 나가는 지 알아보는 것은 의미있는 일일 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 초기의 패션 일러스트레이션이 풍속화로서, 또는 패션 디자인의 보조 수단으로서의 개념에서, 그 용도가 다양해지고 예술성이 중시되어짐에 따라 현대 패션의 흐름을 가장 잘 나타낼 수 있는 새로운 표현으로 복식의 이미지를 효과적으로 전달하고 패션 일러스트레이션의 예술적 가치를 높여서 예술의 한 분야로 확립시키는 데 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 패션 일러스트레이션의 개념과 기능 및 용도를 살펴 보고 예술 개념의 변천을 통해 패션 일러스트레이션의 위치를 가늠해 보았고, 패션 일러스트레이션의 표현 양상의 발전과 그에 따른 입체 패션 일러스트레이션의 출현을 작가와 작품을 통해 알아보았다. 연구 작품은 세계 유명 패션 디자이너의 작품 중 패션 일러스트레이션의 입체적 표현이 효과적일 것으로 예상되는 디자인을 선택하여 의상의 디테일보다는 전체적인 이미지를 표현하는 데 치중하였고 한지, 지점토, 젯소(Gesso)등을 이용하여 버닝(burning) 기법과 에어 브러쉬(air-brush) 기법, 꼴라쥬(collage) 기법으로 입체적으로 표현하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 패션 일러스트레이션은 단순히 복식을 재현하는 데 그치는 것이아니라 작가의 해석과 주관에 의한 개성 있는 표현으로 예술적 역량을 키워갔으며, 현대로 들어오며 예술가들의 참여로 그 예술성은 심화되었다. 둘째, 현대 패션의 조형적이고 다양한 디자인의 변화는 패션 일러스트레이션의 입체적 표현으로 그 이미지를 더 효과적으로 전달할 수 있다. 셋째, 작품 제작을 통해 패션 일러스트레이션은 그 재료와 기법의 변화로 표현에 있어서 무한한 잠재적인 발전 가능성을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 예술성 있는 패션 일러스트레이션은 패션에 대한 인식을 높이고 패션 자체를 예술로까지 승화시키며, 전시장이나 박물관의 회화, 조각 등 순수 예술과는 달리 대중의 일상 생활 속에 접해 있는 대중 예술로서 대중의 감각을 높이는 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 확신할 수 있었다.논문개요 = ⅶ Ⅰ. 서론 = 1 A. 연구목적 = 1 B. 연구내용 및 방법 = 1 Ⅱ. 이론적 배경 = 3 A. 패션 일러스트레이션의 개념 = 3 B. 패션 일러스트레이션의 기능 및 용도 = 5 Ⅲ. 패션일러스트레이션의 예술적 발전 = 12 A. 예술 개념의 확대(현대미술을 중심으로) = 12 B. 패션일러스트레이션의 표현양상의 발전 = 14 Ⅳ. 입체 패션 일러스트레이션 = 30 A. 입체 일러스트레이션의 발전 = 30 B. 입체 패션 일러스트레이션의 작가와 작품 = 31 Ⅴ. 작품제작 및 분석 = 39 A. 작품제작 의도 및 방법 = 39 B. 작품 분석 = 41 Ⅵ. 결론 = 59 참고문헌 = 60 ABSTRACT = 6

Stainless steel crowns are invaluable restorative material for the treatment of badly broken down primary teeth in pediatric dentistry. But it is difficult to fit margin because selection of size is not easy and they are not adjusted for Korean children. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the marginal adaptation of stainless steel crown of posterior primary tooth. Marginal surface was taken by Fine Pix S602 digital camera and measurements of crown were recorded at 20 points that were randomly selected for marginal gap evaluation by Kappa image base program. 1. Mean marginal gap were large upper 2nd primary molar, lower 1st primary molar, lower 2nd primary molar, upper 1st primary molar in order(p<0.05). 2. Mean marginal surface dimension ratio was more than 20% irrespective of tooth. 3. Largest amount of marginal gap was shown at mesial surface in upper 1st, 2nd primary molar and distolingual surface in lower 1st primary molar, buccal surface in lower 2nd primary molar
