The Effect of Problem Based Learning on Nursing Students Interaction and Self-directed Learning: A Social Network Analysis
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the underlying structures of students interaction networks to monitor network changes during the year, to verify the relationship with self-directed learning, and to identify the effect of problem-based learning on interaction and self-directed learning. Methods: A longitudinal study was designed which included 3 parts (A=25, B=27, C=26) with a total of 78 second-year nursing students from 2013 to 2014. Interaction indicators used group network centralization and density, and individual in-degree centrality. Results: Group network centralization showed mean reversion patterns, however, centralization and density showed a slight increase from 2013 to 2014 (Centralization of A part from 52.78 to 36.96, B part from 20.56 to 32.20, C part from 34.40 to 37.24; Density of A part from 0.122 to 0.123, B part from 0.111 to 0.121, C part from 0.109 to 0.121). The individual in-degree centrality is significantly correlated with self-directed learning and the correlation coefficient increased during the year (r=.274 in 2013, r=.356 in 2014, p<.001). Conclusion: Students share information more interactively during the year and the more they share the higher the scores of self-directed learning
Comparison of Physicians and Patients Perception on the Effect of Internet Health Information
Objective: To determine the differences between the patients and physicians views of the effects of internet health information
on the physician-patient relationship. Methods: An online survey was carried out with 25 items developed by revising
the questionnaire of Direct-to-Consumer Advertising to accommodate the internet health information. The respondents were
671 patients who were active participants in online patient communities and 493 physicians who were the professors of
medical schools and practicing physicians. Results: Most of the patients were positive toward the Internet Health Information
saying that it gives them advice from a doctor with self-confidence, allows them to follow their doctor's directions well,
obtain more medical treatment after retrieving the information, etc. In contrast, physicians perceived that the internet health
information may have variety of negative effects, such as increasing the healthcare cost, unnecessary clinic visits and
undermining of the doctor-patient relationship. There were significant differences in the perspectives between the physicians
and patients. Conclusion: It will be necessary to ensure experts provide internet health information, which will have beneficial
effects on the quality of care, physician-patient relationship, and health service utilization.OAIID:oai:osos.snu.ac.kr:snu2009-01/102/0000028528/11SEQ:11PERF_CD:SNU2009-01EVAL_ITEM_CD:102USER_ID:0000028528ADJUST_YN:YEMP_ID:A076124DEPT_CD:811CITE_RATE:0FILENAME:30 ์ธํฐ๋ท ๊ฑด๊ฐ์ ๋ณด์ ์ํฅ์ ๋ํ ์์ฌ์ ํ์์ ์ธ์ ๋น๊ต.pdfDEPT_NM:๊ฐํธํ๊ณผEMAIL:[email protected]_YN:NCONFIRM:
The Perception of the Patients on the Effects of Internet Health Information on the Doctor-Patient Relationship
Objectives: The objective of the study was to determine patients views of the effects of internet health information on the
doctorโpatient relationship. Methods: Online survey with 26 items was conducted which was developed by revising the
questionnaire of Direct-to-Consumer Advertising to accommodate to the internet health information. Members of the active
online patients communities were solicited by e-mail. Results: Most of them gave an affirmative answer on Internet Health
Information saying that it makes them get advice from doctor with selfโconfidence, follow their doctor's direction well, get
more medical treatment after retrieving the information and so on. By contrast, physicians perceived that internet health
information may have variety of negative effects according to the preceding research. Conclusions: There are the differences
of perspectives between physicians and patients. Therefore it will be necessary to make the experts' intervention in the
provision of internet health information, which will have good effects on quality of care, doctorโpatient relationship, and
EMAIL:[email protected]:

Abstract 123Docto
The issues and trends of Consumer Health Informatics research
The Consumer Health Informatics has been developing very fast recently as the new trends of consumerism emerged. This
article reviewed the numerical expansion of the CHI researches since 1989 based on the search results of the PubMed
database, and classified the main issues of CHI researches and categorized them into 10 issues. The trends of the CHI
researches were analyzed by the categories and the timeline.OAIID:oai:osos.snu.ac.kr:snu2007-01/102/0000028528/9SEQ:9PERF_CD:SNU2007-01EVAL_ITEM_CD:102USER_ID:0000028528ADJUST_YN:NEMP_ID:A076124DEPT_CD:811FILENAME:18 ์๋น์ ๊ฑด๊ฐ์ ๋ณดํ์ ์ฐ๊ตฌ์ฃผ์ ๋ฐ ๊ฒฝํฅ.pdfDEPT_NM:๊ฐํธํ๊ณผEMAIL:[email protected]:
