    Es un hecho innegable que la Ley de la Memoria Histรณrica del 2007 es un gran avance en el esfuerzo para resolver la cuestiรณn del doloroso pasado de Espaรฑa. En esta ley, ha sido declarado abiertamente la ilegitimidad (pero, no ilegalidad) del gobierno autoritario de Franco, como tambiรฉn ha sido reconocido evidentemente el sufrimiento injusto de las vรญctimas de la Guerra Civil y el rรฉgimen dictatorial, y han aparecido unas importantes medidas para mejorar la situaciรณn econรณmica de las vรญctimas; y hubo tambiรฉn unas medidas para recuperar el honor moral de sus sufrimientos. Sin embargo, esta ley tampoco podrรญa ser una resoluciรณn satisfactoria de la cuestiรณn del pasado, porque en primer lugar, el propรณsito de la ley estรก buscando solamente el reconocimiento moral y la reparaciรณn econรณmica sin la voluntad clara de la clarificaciรณn de la verdad de los hechos ocurridos. Pero no es posible resolver esta cuestiรณn sin clarificar la verdad. Ademรกs, esta ley tiene varios defectos en relaciรณn con la reparaciรณn econรณmica, la recuperaciรณn del honor de las vรญctimas y el derrumbamiento de los monumentos del franquismo. The postpartum hemorrhage is know as the most common cause of serious obstetric hemorrhage and one-fourth of the maternal death from obstetric hemorrhage is related to postpartum hemorrhage. Postpartum hemorrhage is subdivided into two catagories; immediate and delayed. Immediate postpartum hemorrhage is defined as blood loss more than 500ml during the first 24 hours after birth of infant, and late postpartum hemorrhage as that occuring beyond 24 hours and extending up to 6 weeks postpartum. In recent years, even though the maternal mortality rate has been reduced dramatically by improvement of medicine, obstetric care and hospitalization for delivery, death from hemorrhage remains prodominent in the most reports, and about 80% of obstetric hemorrhage, which was major cause of maternal death n the developing country was reported to have been prevented. This retrospective study was carried out for the further prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. It was based on the clinical records of 468 patients encountered at the Dept. of OB and Gyn. Yonsei University college of Medicine from Jan. 1, 1972 to Dec. 31, 1981. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Over all incidence of postpartum hemorrhage was 2.2%. 2. Maternal mortality rate as direct caused of death was 13.2 per 10,000 live birth, and 2.0 per 10,000 live bith from obstetric hemorrhage. 3. The main cause of postpartum hemorrhage was uterine atony (71.2%), retained placental tissue (11.5%), laceration of genital tract (10.9%), and coagulation defect (1.7%). 4. The significant predisposing factors related to postpartum hemorrhage are weight of body (โ‰ฅ4000gm), use of pitocin, hypertension during pregnancy and multiple pregnancy(p 0.05). 5. 400 cases (85.5%) were treated by conservative treatment with or without blood transfusion, and opeation was performed on 68 cases (14.5%). The average amount of blood transfusion was 2.2 units in uterine atony, 3.2 units in genital tract laceration, and 5.2 units in retained placental tissue 6. 30 postpartum hysterectomies out of a total 20,811 deliveries make an incidence of 1 per 694 total birth, and three-quarter of which was performed within 3 hours after delivery.restrictio

Department of Public Health, Graduate School, Yonsei University (Directed by Assistant Professor Jong Sik Yoon, Ph.D.) For the purpose of evaluating the genetic effect of a synthetic ovearian steroid in Drosophila melanogaster, Lyndiol 2.5 was used as a chemical mutagen. One to three day old larvae of the sc**8ยทYยทB**s /y**2 W**i ct**6 f**1 flies were fed on the medium containing 0.5ml of Lyndiol (50% in Drosophila Ringer's) solution for treatment. Germ cells of male flies treated on the medium throughout larval, pupal and imaginal stages of development were tested for mutations through two generations. When males treated were crossed individually to multipurpose virgin (y sc**61 In49sc**8 : dp Bw: st p**p), increased losses of the Y chromosome, nondisjunctions and other visible mutations were found. Among the 12 visible mutants, 6 mosaics in wing and eye were observed, suggesting that somatic mutations occurred concomitantly with the germinal havoc detected. An increased rate of sex-linked recessive lethal mutation (0.49%) was found, when the visibly unaffected F^^1 inseminated females were tested by the Muller-t method. This would be estimated some 2.5% recessive lethal mutations in the whole set of chromosomes of treated males. No translocation was found by crossing the visibly unaffected males to multipurpose virgin females individually.
