Also, organizations have been paying their attention to informal learning to improve employees' job competency. Extant studies show that non-financial performance leads to financial performance and that job satisfaction and organizational commitment are considered as pivotal variables related to non-financial performance. Thus, this study aimed to examine relationships between job competency improvement by informal learning (JC) and job satisfaction (JS) and organizational commitment (OC). The results were as follows. Firstly, JC did not have a statistically positive relationship with OC. Secondly, the relationship between JC and JS and the relationship between JS and OC were statistically significant. Lastly, JS fully mediated the relationship between JC and OC. Implications and recommendations were discussed

This article shows how presidential visits operated as governmental strategy and how the government mobilized space by presidential visits. In particular, the study focuses on South Korea in the 1970s when rapid national economic development happened under the strong centralist government of President Park Jeong-hee, the president who records the most presidential visit. To analyze this spatial art of government, this study builds on three key concepts developed by Bob Jessop and Neil Brenner: state projects, accumulation strategies, and hegemonic projects. Findings were summarized as follows.
First, in terms of accumulation strategies, presidential visits accelerated large development projects by drawing the presidents direct support. Check-and-Govern practice was used to inspect and judge government policies on the spot by President Park. This integrated space of policy planning and space of policy implementation, simplifying decision making process and improving the efficiency of policies.
Second, in the light of state projects, presidential visits played a role in both limiting and encouraging local governments according to central governments will. President Park gathered bureaucrats and persons directly involved together to effectively adjust administration when he visited local sites.
Third, in terms of hegemonic projects, presidential visit justified underdevelopment of some regions by saying that their effort was insufficient, and it made an image that heightened the sense of unity among the state, the leader, and people. The places the president have visited embodied abstract governmental mechanisms into the scene of everyday practice which ordinary people could understand in order to receive public support for the regime.
Regarding these findings, a strong centralized state can be established not by mere existence of monopolizing political power in the center but rather by continued action for integrating local regions within the centralized state. It is thought that constant presidential visits might sustain the strong centralized state of South Korea in the 1970s.
This conclusion can contribute to earlier research on state spatiality of South Korea in the 1970s. First, this study reveals how mobilizing various spaces such as local government offices, sites of disaster, and historic sites could help constitute state power at that time. Second, this study shows that Jessop and Brenners three concepts are not outcomes of abstract institutions and they can be developed through real space. Finally, this study is about state practices that were lacked in previous literature which in general place more emphasis on institution analysis.μ 1 μ₯ μ λ‘ 1
