青年期における親子間葛藤 ―質問紙調査結果から見える実態―

青年期の親子関係に関しては，国内外を問わず，多くの研究が行われてきた。中でも青年期の親子間葛藤を表現する言葉である「第二反抗期」は一般にも知られている。しかし，こうした親子間葛藤は変化しているという研究報告もある。本研究では，大学生を対象に自由記述を用いて，青年の親子間葛藤（第二反抗期）について，行動と感情それぞれについて調査を行い，実態の把握を行った。調査協力者は38名。反抗的な気持ちを強く感じた時期があったと答えたのは，38人中26人で全体の68.4％。反抗があったものとなかったもので分けて分析を行った。調査協力者の人数が少ないという問題点があるが，反抗の頻度は感情面でも行動面でも，毎日のように反抗している青年は少ないという結果となり，具体的な反抗行動も軽度なものが多く，全体的には先行研究同様，激しい反抗や葛藤を経験する青年は少なく，一時的にであっても親との関係性が切れてしまうようなことはあまりなかったのではないかと考えられた。一方で親の愚痴を聞かされることへの反発や，親に対する反抗を意味がないと感じ行わないというような，従来の青年心理学ではあまり注目されることがなかった回答も見受けられた。Many studies have been conducted on the relationship between parents and adolescents. They generally used the term "teenage rebellion," which describes the conflict between parents and adolescents. However, some studies report a change in such conflicts. This study examined the behaviors and feelings from free-response statements, obtained from college students, to understand the actual situation of conflicts between parents and adolescents . A total of 38 people participated in the survey, and 26 of them (68.4% of the total) indicated past instances when they felt strongly rebellious. The analysis was conducted by dividing the participants into those with and without rebellious incidents. A limitation of this study is the small number of survey participants. However, results on the emotional and frequency of rebellion, both emotional and behavioral, showed that few adolescents rebelled on a daily basis, with many mildly specific rebellious behaviors. This suggests that, overall, as shown in previous studies, few adolescents experience severe rebellion or conflict and that breakdowns in the relationship between adolescents and their parents, even if only temporarily, are rare. However, certain responses did not receive much attention in traditional adolescent psychology, such as rebelling against forcefully obeying parents\u27 instructions, or not rebelling against parents, as they deem this action to be meaningless
