Introduction: Cervical segment is a part of the spine which is the most exposed to stress and dysfunction. Aim: The aim of the study is to analyze the body posture of bus drivers and, especially, functional assessment of cervical spine mobility segments. Material and methods: The study included a group of 40 people, consisting of professionally active drivers working in public transport, 20 of whom were the men under 40, and the remaining 20 were the men over 40. The study used the original study card. Results: There was dependence between the subjects' length of service and the appearance of hand numbness. There was dependence between protraction angle and length of service. Most of the study subjects (67.5%) report the presence of back pain syndromes. Among the study subjects, 45.0% declare that they do sports / physical activity improving their condition. In the case of rectus abdominis muscle strength, the majority of the surveyed (60.0%) cannot sit unassisted. Conclusions: The bus driver is exposed to a lot of stress every day, resulting, i.a. from the responsibility he bears for passengers in the vehicle, as well as from heavy traffic, which leads to changes in myofascial tensioning, resulting in the incidence of pain.

The aim of the study was to analyze the sagittal spinal curvatures in children with scoliosis and idiopathic scoliosis attitude and norm. The shape of the spine was assessed using optoelectronic Diers formetric III 4D. The research was Carried out in the Posturology Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UJK in Kielce (Poland). The biggest differences in the absolute values of the variables tested in girls and boys with a group of scoliosis, attitudes and scoliotic standard body length was observed for SP-VP (mm). Univariate analysis of variance showed significant differences in the measurement of intra-lordosis angle among both boys and girls. This means that only the angles of lordosis differed significantly between the groups scoliosis, attitudes and scoliotic standard. Both girls and boys lordosis angle of scoliosis in the group was significantly lower than in the attitudes scolitic group and with the standard. In children with scoliosis it occurred in the first place to shallow lumbar lordosis. The size of the physiological thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis should be taken into account in the selection of methods of treatment of scoliosis. In the treatment of scoliosis, use patterns shoulders and the pelvis, to restore the normal range thoracic kyphosis and lumbar lordosis

The effects of sensory integration techniques on muscle tone in children after prenatal exposure to alcohol

Background: Prenatal exposure to alcohol is the cause of Foetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). Alcohol exerts an especially negative effect on the central nervous system of an unborn child. Children with FAS frequently have problems with sensory integration. The objective of the study was an evaluation of the effectiveness of SI therapy in children with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome on the example of muscle tension. Methods: The study was conducted in 2012 at the Centre of Advanced Physiotherapy in Kielce, and covered a group of 20 children aged 4-5 who had a history of prenatal exposure to alcohol. The children systematically participated in a one-hour SI therapy session, once a week for the period of 6 months. Results: A high effectiveness of SI therapy was confirmed in children after prenatal exposure to alcohol based on the example of muscle tension (

The aim of the study was to analyze the amplitude of SEMG rectifier spine in children with scoliotic changes. SEMG amplitude rectifier back of the camera has been studied Noraxon TeleMyo DTS. The shape of the spine was estimated optoelectronic method Diers formetric III 4D. The research was Carried out in the Posturology Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UJK in Kielce (Poland). In the group of children with scoliosis curvature of the most frequently occurred on the location of the rib. In girls, it represented (62%) in boys (56%). Univariate analysis of variance showed significant differences among boys in intra-amplitude measurements SEMG variable lower limbs up the left side of the lumbar. Means, that the value of the amplitude distribution SEMG rectifier ridge in the study of lower limbs up the left side of the lumbar differed significantly between the groups scoliotic attitudes, scoliosis and normal. The amplitude of SEMG rectifier ridge in the study of lower limbs up the lumbar left was the lowest in the group of scoliosis. Due to the fact that a group of boys with scoliosis had most of the left-hand direction of curvature in the lumbar region, we can conclude that the greater the amplitude of SEMG rectifier occurred at the back of the concave side of the curvature of the lumbar spine

W artykule przedstawiono trzy przypadki skutecznego leczenie amyloidozy AA.Amyloidosis AA (reactive amyloidosis) is a result of long-lasting inflammatory process. Nowadays, in a highly developed countries, including Poland, amyloidosis is mainly caused by autoimmune diseases. Several years ago, in the majority of cases, the disease was a consequence of untreated infections. Regardless of the cause, it is possible to achieve remission of amyloidosis when inflammatory process is properly treated. Three cases of effectively treated AA amyloidosis are presented in this paper

The aim of the study was to analyze the frequency of SEMG rectifier spine in children with scoliosis. Analysis electromyographic rectifier spine was performed using a 12-channel camera Noraxon TeleMyo DTS. The shape of the spine was assessed using optoelectronic Diers formetric III 4D. The research was Carried out in the Posturology Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UJK in Kielce (Poland). In the group of children with scoliosis curvature of the most frequently occurred on the location of the rib. In girls, it represented (62%) in boys (56%). In boys, thoracic scoliosis twoarched right-handed and left-sided lumbar were 19 (30%). The largest absolute differences in the frequency of EMG rectifier spine in girls with scoliosis group occurred lying ahead for the variable lumbar left (S = 36, 99). In turn, the value of the variable lower limbs up the right side of the lumbar was absolutely the most diverse among boys in the group of scoliosis (S = 40.54). Univariate analysis of variance indicated that there are significant differences in the measurements of intra-frequency variable SMEG rectifier spine torso upright thoracic among boys (p = 0.04). This means that the values of the variables were significantly different between groups attitudes scoliotic, scoliosis and normal boys, and the value of the significance level was less than 0.5 (
